27. Dating Lists

Now, thanks to Helfer, Reuel had gotten rid of Roxy, and also successfully avoided killing them all in a fatal accident because of the woman's clumsiness.

Now, it was just the two of them left. Himself and Erina, plus, Helfer, who quietly had the back seat all to himself.

He had asked where she was taking him for their date, even though they were in his car, and he was the one driving them. But what he had not expected was that she had typed and printed out a whole list of things she planned on doing with him.

He wasn't baffled by the fact that she made a neatly numbered lists of things she wished to do.

What was much more baffling to him was the fact that every thing on her lists had their very own sublists, which were longer than the main lists!! How was that even possible??

Now, in her calculation she just had fifty things she wanted them to do on her list, but to him, it was fifty multiplied by twenty!! How in the world did she plan on accomplishing all these things??

She was a marvelous mystery, this girl. One that made him want to uncover every bit of it.

"Here we are!!" She announces as they stood in front of an enormous building, the bright lightings on the outside of the building were blinding, kids and adults alike trooping in and out of the place, some holding teddies, others holding dolls.

Some had other stuffs like football, astronaut helmet, things of various kind. It was clearly another busy day in the Gaming Arcade.

"This is the kind of date you want us to have?" he asks, and she nods with a huge smile.

"I always see this in movies, and I wanted to try it out myself. Truth be told, I come here with Roxy," He hissed, she was sure of it this time, she could see the change of expression on his face. It seemed he had something against her friend, and she didn't like that.

"Uhm, hey..." She pulls at the end of his sleeve, he had taken off his suit jacket and necktie, dumping them at the back seat, allowing Helfer to use them as his cover.

He left the first two buttons of his shirt loosely open so his neck could take in some fresh air.

He feels her tugging at his sleeve and turns to look at her. "uhm, you don't like Roxy, do you?" She sincerely asks, and he stares at her, like he was studying her face anew.

Her eyes that were big and round, her brows that rose high up questionably, her lashes that fluttered, her white curly bangs that rested just above her brows, her nose that seemed to open and close whenever she was curious about something. A smile crawls up his lips as he sees this.

Then his eyes touched her lips, pink and a bit cracked. It made him want to kiss her till the cracks disappeared and her lips smoothened, or till a little drop of blood escaped those cracks.

His smile turned to a smug at the thought of such a kiss with his dear little White. ``Oh, White... You have no idea.`` He says in his head.

"Hey," She calls out, pulling him out of his drifted thoughts. "I know, she can be a little, uhm... Eccentric." She thought of a word to explain her friend, and this was the only thing that came to mind. "But I promise you, she's just like me." Reuel snickers at those words.

"I can't say anything about your friend, White, but if there's one thing I'm sure of, it is that she is nothing like you." He emphasized on those last five words.

"OH, but she is," Erina defends, causing Reuel to roll his eyes. Now, how could he like her? When even now, she was not present, but somehow, she was still disrupting their date??

"She's kind, she's sweet, she's... Ack!!!" She jerked as he suddenly lowered his head to meet hers, leaning in closer to her face, causing her to bend slightly backwards.

Staring into her eyes as if he was searching for something, she could smell the scent of his hair. She couldn't explain the fragrance, like a mixture of fresh flower and wood. But it was nice.

*EEk!* Her eyes flew wide open, and blood rushed up to her face as his lips landed on the side of her face, and before she could even think of composing herself, another peck landed on the corner of her lips.

It was almost like he was teasing her, and she knew it. She was burning hot, she could feel her face on fire from the closeness and the teasing.

"You promised me a date," He says in an entrapping whisper. "Are we going to stand out here all afternoon?" he tilts his head to the side and asks, "uh-uhn" she nods a no.

"Shall we?" He stretches out his palm to her, and Lords, it was impossible to conceal such joy, it was impossible to not feel shy and giddy at the same time.

And her smile was bright and true, and it was pure and innocent, and it irresistibly drew a smile on his lips. Sincerely, there was something about her that brought out something in him, and he could deny it and call it untrue, but somewhere, somehow, some place deep down inside of him, something was stirring up, she was shaking his world and he didn't even realize it.
