Chapter 8 - Shame -

Natsu could not believe his ears, or eyes… he opened the door to what was the return of his son Igneel from a 3 day mission. But was glad lucy wasn't home at the moment.. his son was covered in what he had thought was animal claw marks. That's until he saw the very well known hickey marks showing on the side of his sons neck.

"Igneel Dragneel… what is this..?"

*Igneel could already feel the disappointment fill up his fathers voice as he turned to him with a straight face prepared to come clean.*

"It's a hicky dad… I had a one night stand with a girl I didn't know until after… she said something about me having a rut and to talk to you about it…"

*Igneel protested all the information he was told as natsu's angered face turned to a pale one…. Oh no… not him too…*

"Son… I'm sorry…"

*natsu hugged his sons head as Igneel felt like he was not being told of something..*

"Dad.. tell me what's a rut?"

"It's something you shouldn't have known ever in your life… let's go upstairs I'll tell you what to do from here on out to prevent these .. 'accidents' …

*natsu lead his son upstairs as jue caught a sight at his brother. He went into the twins room where leia was there also to inform them of what he saw. They all got up and placed their ears to natsu's door as they heard their father talk to their brother.*

Natsu explained to his son what was a 'rut' to a male dragon slayer like himself… he then went into how these ruts would only appear once a year on the same or sometimes are off by days. But this only would happen after the dragon slayer male would experience their first rut. He had to reveal Nashi's heat incident to explain to him how he wasn't the only one who had this happen to him. But then natsu realized something he left out..

"Ok son, I have to ask you a very personal question.. are you sure your ready?"

"Yes dad, I have been through hell and back.. just tell me.."

Natsu took a breath in as to calm his awkwardness as he looked at his son seeing if he can see some deceiving signs in his eyes as he asked the question.

"Did you come inside the girl you had a one night stand? And if yes, do you remember have some kind of shivering experience and… um *ahem* swolleness in your man part.."

*natsu looked at his son who blushed at his question but only nodded at the question, to embarrassed to explain that to his father.*

Natsu groaned as he covered his face with both his hands and gave out a big yell. Igneel felt like he did something wrong already but waited for his father to talk to him.

"Igneel tell me you know what the girls name is or where she lives?"

"Sure, she is in the Crime Sorcière guild and her name is Ethe.. why?"

*Igneel finally acting his age looked scared and confused. Natsu smiled a small grin as he scuffled his sons red hair.*

"It's nothing bad, just means you might be seeing her again soon if she conceived the night you spent with her… other then that I want you to be ready to take responsibility for her even though it wasn't your intentions understand?"

*natsu saw his son give him a small nod as he got up to bow to him in apology and walked out the door.*

"Damn! What animal attacked you Igneel!?"

*joe teased as he already knew about his little accident, the girls only just followed their brothers as they kept hearing igneels lame responses of 'what is it to you! Or 'get lost!'*

-At Crime Sorcière Guild-

Ethe cussed under her breath as she saw the bruised bite mark Igneel had managed to sneak onto her. She didn't notice before as it wasn't purple before until now.

Sure her father was strict when it came to who she dated and saw, but she was 17 she already had 2 boyfriends that both she had dumped after she had fun messing around with. But she needed to keep this love bite under wraps from her father who would lecture her if he found out she had a one night stand with no other then Igneel Dragneel, Natsu's son.

She planned to first act like nothing happened, but if someone notices she will pretend she didn't know who the guy was, and finally if they found out who it was… she would decide to sleep forever.~

"Good morning everyon! How's everybody doing?"

*Ethe smiled brightly as she waved to everyone in the guild, that weren't that many since it was only Meredy and Jellal.*

"Hi, where have you been? Your father was looking for you last night.."

*meredy acknowledged the young teen as she helped Jellal map out a map.*

"Oh really? I didn't hear, I was busy doing something last night at the cavern."

*Ethe brushed it off as she helped with rolling up a map back into its case.*

"Hmm that's funny, because me and your dad were at the cavern when we saw you follow a young guy up the stairs where the rooms are."

*Jellal laughed a bit decided to help the poor girl out before her dad arrived to kick her butt. He would just give her a hint that they already knew about the boy she was seeing..*

"Oh! Him! No nothing happened! He had a nasty gash on his arm that had poison in it. I followed him because he was being stubborn in letting me heal him…"

*Ethe felt a strong grip hold her shoulder as she went pale at how she felt the hand peel her coat off. The hand belonged to her father and he had seen the love bite now.. it was the endgame now..*

"Ethe… you might think you have fooled me once, maybe even twice, but you dare try fooling me three times?! Tell me young lady!! Who was that boy who did this to you!!"

*Erik was pissed… and Ethe was screwed.. oh well might as well play dumb and not tell her father about who it was..*

Eventually Ethe had convinced her father she had no knowledge of who the boy was. And thankfully he had skipped town already because her father dragged her back to see if the guy was still in the motel but only saw the housekeepers cleaning up the aftermath of their 'beautiful' night. Erik seethed in anger at the sight while Ethe cringed.

In return, Erik prohibited Ethe to leave the guild for no reason unless she is with her mother who was kinana, she was also disappointed in their daughter as she kept a strict eye on her. Ethe sighed as she really messed up this time and had no choice but to follow her parents rules now.
