Chapter 13 - ice-cream -

Things seemed to calm down after Ethe returned home to tell her father she was moving out…

Her father didn't take kindly to this…

But surprisingly, Igneel dropped by for a visit at the crime sorcerer guild after he got his apartment. He proposed to Ethe as she immediately said yes. Igneel aske for her fathers and mothers blessings too , her father didn't even let Igneel finish as he said yes immediately and kicked her out of the guild to leave her to him. Ethe was hurt by this but felt better after seeing the ring Igneel had given her. They both moved in together in his apartment as they made wedding arrangements and began working on missions together to earn both wedding and rent money.

While this all took place, there was someone who wasn't all to thrilled about hearing the engagement.

Gina felt her heart was beyond repair as she looked out her window down at the street of magnolia. Her mother has been worried sick about why she looked sad.. she refused to tell her mom it was because of a boy as she kept this heartache to herself…

"Sigh… I'll just be a single person for the rest of my life… there's no downside to that right?"

*she talked to herself as she mopped about her first kiss being waisted on Igneel who didn't even return her feelings…*

She watched as the people would walk by and saw a little girl eat some ice cream. She decided to go out and treat herself some ice cream as she had nothing better to do.

She bought herself some chocolate ice cream as she sat in the park alone enjoying the alone time she was getting.

"Hello.. may I sit here?"

*a guy who looked older then her appeared as he wore some red glasses, blue spiky combed hair, and a suit. He looked like a lawyer as he waited for her reply.*

"Um.. sure, it's not like I own the bench or anything.."

*gina responded as the man shook his head at how dumb his question was as he sat down. He brought out a canvas from no where as he also took out some paint and brushes to paint with. Gina got curious as to what he would paint but only watched and observed the man at work.*

He began to sketch the canvas carefully the image of magnolias river as to drawing the trees and building's. He then began adding color to them with his brushes carefully as he left the sky a blank white as he finished everything else.

"So what do you think madam?"

*the man asked as gina blushed at how she was caught staring at his painting.*

"Um… I think your missing the sky no?"

*gina pointed at the empty white spaces as the man smiled.*

"Ah so you have a good eye, we'll let me show you something cool then."

*the man took out a special brush as he pointed at the sky then drew a magical line connecting it to the white spaces, suddenly the white spaces became the same color of the sky above them.*

"Oh my! Your a mage?!"

*gina asked as he nodded his head in disagreement.*

"No, just a mage painter… I rather paint then fight or join a guild… just call it a passion of mine."

*the man talked as gina listened. She finished her ice cream as she saw it was already close to sunset and saw how the picture in the canvas changed too.*

"Wow that's gorgeous, well I better be heading home now, it was nice talking to you and learning a lot from art."

*gina said her goodbyes before the man stood up and handed her a small piece of paper.*

"The name is Sylvester.. Sylvester Toatoe… and this is for you.."

*he handed her a small portrait of herself where he had drawn from a distance… it showed her sad expression eating her ice cream that was long gone..*

"I saw your sad expression which made me wonder why a beautiful woman like you would be unhappy… so I drew you in what I see which is beauty and art in your eyes, face, and expressions… I hope you get over whatever happened to you and if you want to see me paint more I'll be here same time everyday.."

*Sylvester blushed as gina nodded and gave a small chuckle.*

"Oh alright then.. see you tomorrow?"

"Yes! Tomorrow is okay.."

"Okay bye,… oh! My name is Gina fullbuster…"

*gina left in a dash as she felt a small bit of embarrassment saying her name to this kind guy.*

"Gina.. what a beautiful name.."

*sylvester watched as gina disappeared into the crowd as he already decided he had fallen in love with her.*

(Author: Sylvester is 24 years old and Gina is 20 so don't worry about big age difference…)

As time passed on, igneels and ethe's wedding arrived as they threw a small celebration inviting both fairy tail and crime sorcerers guild members.

By all means, it was both a opportunity to introduce more people to the small crime sorcerers guild and for the young teens to meet new people.

There was one member from crime sorcerers who had joined a few months ago due to committing some crimes that were major but also not big enough to sentence him. plus he was young and was given the chance to change into a good citizen. His name was Florence De Revolt, his magic was that of hypnosis and was found using it to gain profit from traders and seducing women. He never really did anything to the women of course but would rob them from their valuables. He was placed under Erik's supervision which Erik was happy to do. He had scared the crap out of the guy by only exposing him to the weakest level of his poisoning gas after he left him rob once more, he made a example that next time he tried it and succeeded. He would succeed in killing him...

Florence has been a good 21 year old boy since then, he wasn't to thrilled to participate in the celebration but, this was Erik's daughter who was getting married... he was obligated to go.

And man he thanked Erik for making him come..

' oh man... who is that..?'

*Florence gazed at a beautiful lady who had long shiny black hair that mimicked the sky full of stars, she was small and was very pretty. and from the looks of it she was lacking in jewelry both on her fingers and neck, meaning she was still single. He felt a flush crawl his cheeks as he took a sip of his wine and hot the courage to go talk to her, he felt someone grab his shoulder who was Erik. he gave him a nod asking him what did he see or up to which florence only brushed off his hand as he replied.*

"relax sensei, I just see someone who looks like they can use some company... I'm just going to ask for a dance I promise..."

*florence pointed at the young lady as Erik followed his direction*

".... oh, becareful lover boy, hehe... her father is that guy and would punch you in a heartbeat if he hears his daughter cry... he's a dragon slayer"

*florence looked at gajeel who sat on the opposite side of the guild who boasted laughing with a pink older man and a few of the members he recognized from crime sorcerers. he gulped as he saw how can a beautiful girl have such a fearful father... he nodded at erik as he continued his walk towards her*

A slow dance song began to play right on que as florence was only a mere two feet away from her. she finally noticed him as she looked up at him. She was so divine, her eyes were so big as black pools of clear river water... they sparkled like the moonlight that was shining that night as she asked him if she may help him with something.

" hi... may I help you?"

"um, well i just seen you from right over there sitting here looking lonely... I thought I can interest you in a dance just as acquaintances.. may i?"

*florence gave his hand with respect as she blushed but looked rather saddened by this... she looked behind him as she accepted the dance and they both walked into the dance floor as they mixed with young and old couples, they passed by the groom and bride to who where just ethe jumping around while igneel died of embarrassment..*

" hehehe, I guess the bride doesn't know how to dance? to be expected of Erik's tomboy daughter.. "

*florence made a passing opinion to try getting the girl he was dancing with to start a conversation, it worked as she giggled to and patted his chest at how rude that was.*

"yeah, but that's not a nice thing to say at their wedding oh gosh hehehe geehee!"

*florence was taken by surprise by her unique laugh as he was interested in her more now.*

" hahaha, that's a cute laugh you got there.. I have to ask now what is your name? and why is someone as pretty as you when they smile frowning at a wedding?"

*florence worked his charms as he had done it before to get women comfortable but this time meaning it.. but he saw her smile fade as her sad look returned in her eyes as she began opening up as they continued to dance in circles*

"well... my name is Gine, Gine Redfox.. and what would you do if you saw the one you were interested have their mother setting them up with your sibling.."

*florence raised an eyebrow as gine pointed to a direction behind him, he twirled them around to see the place she had pointed to. he saw a blonde woman... hmm he guessed in her 40's sitting next to a blue haired girl around his age together with a blonde gentleman who looked angered by this..*

' her heart is taken already... but, if I can just show her how much I can make her happier-'

*florence stopped his thought as he felt a wet drop fall on his hand he was holding hers with, he felt his heart drop as he saw she was stifling her crying as she tried faking a smile.*

"oh! where did this come from, geehee! *sniff sniff* I think I'm probably allergic to something hahaha!"

*Gine felt herself begin to cry as she tried stopping it but felt florence pull them out of the traveling dancers, he held her in a hug as he wrapped the white cap he had on to cover her underneath it.*

" it's okay, your safe now.. cry all you want now, nobody will hear you I promise..."

*that's all what gine needed as she began sobbing into his chest underneath his coat. he lied about anyone hearing her cry as he felt three different people look at him immediately as they heard gine sobbing. first was her father, he stopped his sudden drink if his pint as he gave a death glare to him, he looked at the second person who was planning his funeral who was Erik, and third he was surprised and glad that the blonde fellow he saw earlier had stood up and was coming at him... at least he knew they he had some feelings for the girl and was still hope for her broken heart. he sighed as he felt the biggest regret he was gonna do as he patted Gine's back as he kept a fixated stare at the blonde guy who was cutting through the crowd.*

"Gine? say, what would you do if someone hurt you so much that your crush stepped in to defend your honor?"

*Gine looked up at him from under his coat to give him full view of her beautiful swollen eyes.. he really was going to regret this later..*

" what do you mean?..."

"Gine, I'm sorry for doing this but I got two people who are giving me glares, and someone who's going to punch me in the face for no reason in a second…I at least want to be the cause of your beautiful life your going to live from now on.. so can you promise me to be friends after this?"

*florence gave her a smile as gine was clueless of what he was planning to do.. she agreed with a nod as he said his thank yous and pulled up his coat to cover his face too as he covered her lips with his hand and kissed the back of his hand. She blushed at how sudden and straight forward that was, but felt someone yank the coat off of Florence and pulled her back.*

A sudden right hook sent Florence flying the the ground underneath him as Gine gasped and tried helping him but was held back by someone who had landed that blow.

"*pant pant pant* you Fucken piece of shit… nobody makes Gine cry and gets away with it.. *pant pant pant*.. how dare you, kiss her after making her cry!!!"

*Gine realized that the voice belonged to Liddan! She looked around as she saw people surround Liddan, her and Florence as she can hear her father rushing over and the other dragon slayers… she finally made the connection to what Florence meant, she cried a bit more tears as she say Florence look at her and smile at her weakly with a bloody nose and busted lip.*

"Then, don't leave her alone asshole.. *spit* .. or she will more douchebags like me…"

*florence gave Liddan a taunting smile which made Liddan release Gine making her fall on her butt and grabbed Florence by his collar.. Florence saw the gold flakes in Liddan's eyes sparkle with rage.. he knew he got him where he wanted him now..*

"Don't test me punk…"

"Then don't drop your girl, fool… leave her alone again and I won't hesitate to steal her away from you.."

*with that Florence knocked some sense into Liddan who dropped him on the ground and carried Gine out of there.. it wasn't long after he felt gines father Gajeel grab him by the collar now as he breathed a fuming hot breath in his face..*

"What did you do to my daughter punk!?"

*Letisha tried stopping her father as levy too tried calming him down. Florence had nothing to say as nobody would believe him if he had told them 'nothing' plus he needed to give gine some time to talk to her crush to make him realize what he was about to loose.. that's when the pink older man stepped in and placed a hand on gajeels shoulder.*

"Let him go Gajeel.. he didn't do anything to gine… I was watching him the whole time.."

"Ha! Easy for you to say salamander, if it was your daughter, you would be in the same shoes as I am!!"

"No, I wouldn't.. my daughter would have kicked his ass, same thing with Gine! He didn't do anything, and stop ruining my sons celebration… it's a wedding iron head!"

*the pink man managed to calm Gajeel down as he looked around to see the guest starring at the situation and saw how Igneel and ethe weren't even dancing anymore… he sighed as he let Florence go and walked away with levy and letisha following behind him to cool him off.*

"Thanks sir,?"

"Haha! It's just Natsu! And don't thank me, I saw what you did there … you must be insane or just a foolish person to do that for gine.. "

*florence laughed a sarcastic laugh as he cleaned the blood from his nose and mouth with his sleeve as they walked away from the party. He realized who the pink man was as he recognized his name from the records he read back in the crime sorcerer guild.*

"It was nothing… she was heartbroken over such a dense idiot who was a coward to act on his feelings.. it wouldn't be right if I just took advantage of that and tried swooning her to forget him and force herself to love me…"

*florence stood outside as he sighed looking up at the sky.. he felt his heart throb as he smiled at the memory of her flushed face from the fake kiss.*

"Well.. that idiot is my son unfortunately, and he's probably right now trying to calm himself down while also battling with his 'rut'… haha… it's pretty funny how things are turning out as two of my children already married from the same problem… I think I will need to start placing bets.."

*natsu looked at the sky with a carefree expression while florence had gouged his eyes at what natsu said… did he just put Gine in danger then?*

"Um, sorry Mister Dragneel.. but aren't you worried about your son?"

"Nope… he's 22 and has full control of his life, … he wouldn't force himself onto Gine if she told him 'no' that's just how weak hearted my son is.."

*natsu have Florence a fanged smile as he urged him to join the party again… florence looked dumbfounded as Erik scolded him for almost getting himself killed when he already had warned him… the night carried on as everyone forgot about a pair who had gone missing from the venue..*
