Chapter 12 - Moving out -

Igneel finally broke the news to his parents as how he wanted to move out. Lucy shook her head in a 'no' as she didn't like the idea. But natsu only gave him a thought about it… natsu trusted his son, and if he wanted to move out it was for a reason.

"Igneel… tell me, why do you want to move out suddenly.."

*natsu asked his son now as he got the chance while they were alone at the guild.*

" dad… I wanted to move out since I was 17… first I wanted to be like Liddan and get his own space and start experiencing new things… but after I met Ethe… things changed as I felt like I had no rights to move out since I got myself into trouble… but, after realizing I love Ethe… I want to get my own place now more then ever because,…. I'm going to marry her soon.."

*Igneel revealed his surprise engagement proposal to his father as he showed him the beautiful light colored aquamarine small gem that fit snuggle in the middle of it. Natsu gasped as he looked at his son with a smile then with a serious look..*

"Don't tell me… you screwed up again…"

"NO! It's nothing like that!…. I just realized what you feel every time you see mom… you feel like everything is possible and without them… all your hard work comes crumbling down… your happiness, your motivation, and the will to live.. dad… I want to marry ethe.."

*natsu felt so proud of his son… he looked at him as he saw a version of himself around the same age as Igneel next to him. He felt now like he had done something right as to lead a good example to his kids on finding someone to love with all their hearts.*

"Then do it… move out, marry her, and begin your life journey now… see where your decisions take you and make her happy.."

*natsu gave got up as he requested something from mira who gave him a small brown sack. He came back as he grabbed his sons hand and placed the bag in his hand.*

"Here… consider this as a…. umm.. early wedding present… it's money that is enough to get you a apartment in magnolia.. you hurry up and get your things and move out of my house before your mother sees… I'll explain to her.. just don't disappoint me.."

*igneel began to cry as he hugged his father tightly then began running out the guild. He turned at the entrance as he yelled out.*

"ILL BE BACK DAD!!!"

Igneel left as natsu chuckled and wiped a tear from his eye he was holding in so much.

"There goes another bird… flying out of the nest.."

*natsu took a seat as he began crying of sadness and happiness as mira had overheard and patted his back.*

"You did good natsu… be proud that they are growing up now.. plus you can still see them right?"

*natsu looked up at mira as he sniffled and gave her his prized smile but now was a bit older as the wrinkles under his eyes were more clear.*

"Thanks mira… and yeah .. I can always see them again.."

Natsu already expected the consequences of letting Igneel move out from the house. Lucy was furious but, instead of airing out her complaints she gave natsu the silent treatment.

This had gone for 3 weeks now..

And natsu couldn't take it anymore, so he called his eldest 'Nashi' if she can talk some sense into her.

Nashi was walking back to her parents house as she carried her 1 year old daughter, Genisis. She had her trademark pink hair from her and her grandfather, Natsu. But she already began showing water manipulation with her baby bottle levitating and sudden spikes of fire that would erupt whenever she was around a candle. She was adorable but a worst troublemaker then what Nashi was when she was a baby.

"*sigh* I wonder what your grandpa did this time to get grandma mad at him.. well let's find out right geni?"

"Pfffttt!"

*geni agreed according to Nashi as they walked up to the dragneels residence as she knocked. The door swung open like always as she saw her four siblings greet her.*

"NASHI!!!! Thank mavis your here!!"

"Mom is going to kill dad!"

"Mom is planning recipes on how to cook a dragon slayer…"

"Mom has turned into a demon..!"

"Shut up! She is just giving dad the silent treatment!"

*jue, luxe, and lina exaggerated the truth like always while leia was the last mature one in the house.*

"Relax guys.. mom can't resist geni's charms so I'll see what I can do to get them to make up again.."

*Nashi walked inside as she placed her diaper bag down and carried Nashi with her to the kitchen where she found her mother in a chair drinking tea with a sad expression.*

"Hi mom… why the gloomy face?"

*Nashi asked as Lucy looked up to smile at her with her eye bags that were beginning to be noticeable.*

"Oh it's nothing, just something bad your father did without my permission is all.."

*lucy scuffed as she spread her arms out to carry geni.*

"Oh? And what was that?"

*Nashi raised an eyebrow as she served her mother more tea and prepared herself one too.*

"He let Igneel move out behind my back.."

*lucy hissed as Nashi didn't find anything bad about it.*

"Well isn't that a good thing he moved out? He is 18 and capable enough to take care of himself.."

*Nashi continued as she began to drink a sip of her tea.*

"Yeah.. that's because you didn't hear about the one night stand he had with a strange girl on his mission."

Nashi spit her tea as she choked on it while geni laughed at her own mother. Lucy patted her daughters back as she fuzzed over how if she was okay if she needed a medical kit to bandage any burns?

"I'm fine mom, just.. when did this happen?"

"It happened 11 months ago almost a year.. you were pregnant with geni at the time so we didn't want to worry you. But yeah he finally screwed up that boy… but thank his lucky stars he didn't get her pregnant.. but now he wants to move out to marry her? Who does he think he is! He's 18 Nashi! 18!"

*lucy vented out her anger as Nashi found the problem now.. man she hated these fights where both parents were right but wrong at the same time.*

"Ahh I see mom… you do have a point.. even I didn't move out until I was 21 and same thing with Liddan.. Igneel is too young thinking about moving out at 18… but mom.. don't you think your being too.. how can I say this.. 'controlling'? I don't mean to say your wrong or anything mom, but Igneel is not a little boy anymore, sure he had a stupid one night stand with a girl but, maybe that was his wake up call to move out. Have you even asked why he wanted to move out mom?"

*lucy was stunned as how her daughter Nashi had already become a better mother then her.. how could she forget to ask her son the reason why he wanted to move out? She had assumed it was because he wanted to bring girls home now after he got a taste of what that felt like and with natsu's input about him wanting to marry ethe soon, boiled her temper at how her son just wanted to have alone time with his new 'girlfriend' when she and natsu had put their foot down on no dating till they were 19.*

"No I haven't.. oh my.. your poor father.. I have been giving him the silent treatment for 3 weeks.."

"Don't worry about dad, that's why I came here for.. I brought him geni to cheer up X)"

And with that natsu was all better after seeing his first granddaughter who looked just like Nashi. He loved her so much.
