[The user can Send out sound-based echoes through shadows to listen in on conversations or distant sounds]

"Even with your super hearing there are some things you wouldn't be able to hear." Xentor said.

"The skill Dark Echoes would help you with that." Xentor concluded. "First thing you have to do is connect with my shadow like you did last time."

was easy for Miller, especially since he had connected to his shadow before while performing the Shadow Whisper.

[Shadow Whisper]

"Done,' Miller said through the Shadow Whisper, and Xentor could hear it in his head.

"You don't always have to do that." Xentor said.

Unlike a real telepathic power like the one Catherine has. Miller can't hear their reply in their head. He only transfers a message to them and the person has to speak out loud so that they could hear him or her.

"The thing is that you would have to connect with my Shadow and you have done that successfully. I can see that." Xentor said.

"So you would have to be able to listen to every single word i say." Xentor concluded.

"Why would I need that when I also have super hearing." Miller complained.

"Like i said earlier, your super hearing wouldn't be able to pick up everything." Xentor said a little offended by Miller's complain. "Can you hear what happens in the Spiritual Realms?" Xentor asked.

That's true. Based on what the System had told him a little about Realms. It was something humans couldn't perceive and he even wasn't a human. He remembered when the WRAITHS came to the school. They were from another realm and they terrified Miller to be honest. He couldn't even see them with his eyes, he could only hear their creepy voices which were like torment. Yet, the System refused to tell Miller about the Realms; it said he didn't need to know about them now. Until the time was right.

"Based on how quiet you are. I am guessing that's a No." Xentor said looking at Miller's facial expression.

"With the help of Dark Echoes. You would be able to hear everything." Xentor continued. "It all depends on the person's shadow you connected with. As long as that person heard that conversation. You would be able to hear it. Your own shadow would be the one to transmit the message and you would hear it telepahatically."

"Wow." Miller Couldn't help but say Wow.

"In real life. This would cost you a lot of Shadow Points. So i would advise you use it once your shadow is really strong enough." Xentor said. "So now try to here what is happening to me through my shadow. Since you have connected to my shadow that would feel like a walk in the breeze."

In an instant Xentor was no were to be found. It was like he had teleported. He didn't even give Miller any instructions. He just told him to hear what is happening to him though the shadows.

Miller has already connected to his shadow. So it is supposed to be easy. At least that was what Miller thought.

Using his improved eyesight, he couldn't see anybody or even Xentor to be exact. All Miller could see was Dunes upon Dunes of hot sand like that of the Sahara Desert in Modern Africa.

Using his super hearing, he couldn't hear a thing. The only thing he heard was the wind that was blowing close to him and far away. It was almost quiet. He couldn't hear a single heartbeat.

Focusing on the shadow, he closed his eyes and he could still feel Xentor shadow. It was still connected. Yet, he couldn't hear anything. Focusing more and more, this was when something strange happened. He couldn't hear anything with his own ears at least for the time. It was like the only sound he could pick up was from another place. It had worked.

[Dark Echoes]

The System also confirmed it and a big smile was on Miller's face. He could hear the voice of Xentor talking.

After a while, Xentor appeared in front of him again, and a huge smile could be seen on his face.

"I knew you were a fast learner." Xentor said.

"I surely am," Miller replied with pride.

"That is good." Xentor said again. "Now let us learn about the Shadow Skill called Nightmare Infusion."

[Nightmare Infusion]

[The user can Inflict fear or induce nightmares by manipulating shadows to create unsettling imagery]

"Okay." Miller said.

"It's easy and it would be easier than ever." Xentor said. "You already know how to manipulate your own shadow. You would have to turn your shadow into unsettling imagery that would cast fear into a person."

"The problem with this Skill is that it slows down your other shadow powers just a tiny bit. But that wouldn't stop you from doing good In battle." Xentor continued.

"Not everyone fall prey to this. Your shadow have to be strong for it to look real. The stronger your shadow. The more the attack would be. If your shadow is strong enough it would even drive your victim insane. To be very effect you have to have a strong shadow. Right now, your shadow is weak. Due to you not using the Shadow Devourer yet. But the more you use the Shadow Devourer. The more chance you would have when it comes to this kind of Attack."

"It is terrifying and devastating Miller. Especially when you have become so powerful." Xentor concluded. "Only use it at a foe you deem so wicked that he deserves it."

"Right now, your shadows are weak. But the more your shadows get stronger. It would even make you have the ability to install fear to your victim for enternity." Xentor said.

Miller knew this power would be strong and give him an edge in battle, but does he really want to torment people that badly? But right now, if he wants to stand a chance to make the nightmare more realistic. He has to get stronger shadows, and that would be by using the Shadow Devourer.

"Miller, there is one more thing you need to know." This wasn't from Xentor; it was the voice of the System itself. "Your Killer Mode has full access to your skill. To all your Energy Manipulation Ability and Shadow Ability. I don't advise you turning into him. Except you have no choice. Your Killer Mode loves to torture others and when you are in Killer Mode, you wouldn't hesitate to do that."

"Now. Let me teach you how to do it." Xentor said. "You would be able to control your shadow to change shape. It is easy. Turn it into a monster."

Miller tried it and as Xentor had said it was easy for Miller. Especially now that he knows how to connect to his own shadow.

[Nightmare Infusion]

"You did it Miller." Xentor said.

Miller was confused and then he opened his eyes. He didn't see anything, but behind him there was something.

Miller turned his back to look at what was behind him and behold his own shadow had changed shape. It was the shape of a gigantic beast that looked like a beetle and it was coming after him.

"Ahhhhh!" Miller screamed in fear.

"Miller, deactivate it now!" Xentor and the System shouted at thesame time.
