Kanami's POV:

Finally, after the principal gave us information, I flew to the gate where Ryu was waiting.

"Ryu, Big brother Ryu," I said as I tried to get his attention.

But it seemed like some people were trying to fight him. I stayed quiet and kept watch.

"Hey, aren't you Ryu Nanashima," a man asked.

"Yeah, who's asking," Ryu said.

"Me, the leader of the Claws party from the adventure guild, Kiba Tsumeshi, I have a problem with you," he said.

"And what problem is that"?

"You see, that bastard Kakeru seems to like you a lot. But you see, just cause your S-rank doesn't mean anything punk, I could take you out right now".

"Oh, so you're jealous that your strength will never be as powerful as mine, you idiot."

"Alright, you're ...

I kicked the man, and he went flying.

"Leave Ryu alone you bullies," Kanami shouted.

"Hey Kanami, when did you get here"?

"I couldn't stand watching him say stuff like that because Ryu is strong, stronger than me, and if you can't beat me, you won't even reach Ryu's feet," I said while looking angry.

The men around them grew angrier and surrounded them. Ryu glared.

"You little brat," one of them said as they tried to punch me by I dodged.

"Strengthening," I chanted.

My body became powered with mana.

"Ability, agility," I chanted.

I punched the other guy. Ryu kicked another guy who was trying to hit me.

"Big brother Ryu."

Once all of the bad guys were unconscious, I realized I didn't have any dirt or bruises on me at all. It was strange; it was like I was standing over all of them. Ryu is strong, but I feel strong too.

"Hey, Kanami, are you okay" Ryu asked while sighing.

I nodded, and we began walking to the castle. We left them for the patrol to handle those guys.

"That should handle that, they should know better than to try to pick fights against other guld members," Ryu said.

"Big brother Ryu, have people been trying to attack you a lot," Kanami asked.

"Yeah, it's because they are jealous that I'm stronger than them. Honestly, I'm pretty weak compared against Kakeru. I'm still learning as well. Any way we should head to the castle."

When we got to the castle, I was tackled by Papa, and he was hugging me.

"Kanami, my darling Kanami, how did your entrance exam go," he asked as he hugged me.

"I was the top student," I said with a smile.

"Huh," Papa said.

He lift me up and looked at me.

"Really," He asked while smiling.

"Yeah, the principal said that he knew you."

"Saitou," he asked with a sour expression.

"Yeah, Mr. Usumura, he's the academy's principal. Look at my uniform".

Papa looked at my uniform and he smiled again.

"It's true then, only students who score with the top grades receive black uniforms instead of white. I had one myself when I attended that school", Papa said.

"Papa, you had a black uniform as well," I asked.

"Yeah, I started at that school at 12 years old; I skipped a lot of elementary and middle because I studied under the previous Royal magician".

"You did"?

"Yeah, and just like you, I was at the top in the academy as well."

Kakeru came outside.

"How did it go," he asked.

Then he saw my uniform.

"So he passed."

"Yeah, and not only that, he's at the top of his class," Ryu said.

"Well, let's start the lesson, alright," Kakeru said with a smile.

"Yes, Mr. Kakeru," I said.

"Just call me Kakeru, Kanami".

Two weeks later...

"Time for my first day of school," I shouted.

Ryu looked at me and patted my head. I used space magic to keep my bag from getting lost.

"Make sure you pay attention to all of your teachers. Also, I will be by your side throughout your years at this school", Ryu said.

"Yeah, although are you only coming with me because you don't want to stay with Kakeru," I asked.

"That's not true; anyway let's go," Ryu said while having a suspicious smile.

We arrived at the school; I felt nervous as I walked past some older kids with Ryu. Ryu and I received a lot of stares; I felt my face heat up.

"Look, that guy over there is handsome," a girl said.

"I know he's beautiful but is that his little brother," another girl asked.

"Aww that kid's so cute," another one said.

Suddenly someone walked up to Ryu and me.

"Hey midget," a guy said.

I looked up at him.

"Midget"?

He was wearing a black uniform, although his tie was blue.

"I'm Shoku Rokujo, a second year, I am at the top of my grade, and I'm in the S-class; you're Kanami Kaguragi, right"?

"Y-Yes."

"How old are you"?

"5 years old".

"5 years old; that explains why you're so small".

"Hey, what do you want with Kanami, kid," Ryu asked while glaring.

"And who might you be? I mean, considering how young you look and you're way shorter than me, so you shouldn't call me kid", he said with a smirk.

"This guy looks kind of cute," Shoku thought.

"I'm Ryu Nanashima; I'm 27 years old", Ryu said with a cold glare.

"Ryu Nanashima, as in the S-rank Martial artist," Shoku shouted as he looked scared of Ryu.

"Yeah."

"Big brother Ryu, I need to attend the ceremony in the auditorium; after checking what class I'm in," I said with a smile.

Shoku looked at me. I tilted my head in confusion.

"What's wrong," I asked.

"Are you his disciple?"

"He does teach me, but Kakeru teaches me more Magic than Big brother Ryu," I said while smiling.

"Then you mean Kakeru Setagawa also teaches you," Shoku shouted.

"Yes."

He walked away, looking defeated. I grabbed Ryu's hand. We went to the board with the class list on them.

"My teacher is Mr. Nagatomi; I'm in S1-1", I said.

"Geh, you're in Yuuta's class," Ryu said.

"Yuuta"?

"Yeah, the guy you fought for your exam, the one you kicked into a wall."

"That's right because he was trying to flirt with you."

"Well, we should head to the auditorium."

"Big brother Ryu, let's go," I said while running towards the auditorium.

He followed behind as we headed inside.

"Hey you, what class are you in," A teacher asked Ryu.

"I'm Kanami's guard; I'm not in any class."

"Kanami Kaguragi, please stand in line with your class; since you are first in your class, you're the first one in the line."

"Yes."

I stood in front of the line of my class, and, and, and Ryu had to wait next to a teacher. The principal came onto the stage.

"Kanami Kaguragi, Shoku Rokujo, Gota Watanabe, please come to the stage," he said.

I flew to the stage using my wings, and the other two came up. I turned around to see so many surprised faces. Suddenly the auditorium roared with questions.

"Why is there such a cute child here" a lot of girls shouted.

"U-Um, I'm sorry for any problems you may have with me, although I studied hard so I can attend here, so I'm sorry," I said as I felt my face heat up.

Third POV:

"So adorable," they all thought.

"Anyway, back to what I was saying, these three are at the top of their years; you may look at them as role models. Kanami's case is a bit different; he may be a prodigy, but that doesn't mean he can't be overwhelmed by bullying. That's why everyone should try to do their best and be nice", Saitou said.

After the assembly, Ryu walked Kanami to his classroom.

"Big brother, Ryu, do you think I should be here? Ever since I came here, I've been called a kid or a child. I know I am one, but I want to be taken seriously", Kanami said.

"Yeah, you belong here; you'll just have to impress everyone even more," Ryu said.

Kanami and Ryu walked into the classroom. Manami tackled KanamiManami tackled KanamiManami tackled Kanami.

"Kanakana" she shouted as she hugged him.

"Manami"?

"You're so small and cute," she said.

"Hey Manami, you're going to suffocate him to death," Tamaki said.

"No, I won't."

Yuuta walked in, and he saw a Ryu. He smiled and put an arm around Ryu, and, and, and Ryu then flipped him over his shoulder.

"Yuuta, what were you thinking," Ryu asked.

"Sorry, I forgot how keen your reflexes are. You might have a baby face, but you sure are strong," Yuuta said.

"You're an idiot," Ryu thought.
