Third POV:

By 2:30 pm, all the exams were finished. In the meeting hall for the examiners, they held a meeting for the person with the top score. The room was full of about twenty examiners and the principal. Each of them was dumbfounded by the appearance of Kanami. An instructor stood up and hit the table. He was an older man with a white beard and wore a gray hat and blue robe.

"Why was a five-year-old so advanced in magic" he shouted.

Everyone looked in his direction.

"Mukrou, calm down; there's no reason to yell about this," Yuuta said.

"Are you serious right now? A five-year-old child should not have this much power and intelligence, so why is he at this school," the man shouted again.

"We don't know; I can tell you he's the top scorer. Many students may try to bully him. But all we can do is watch him", the principal said.

The principal was named Saito Usumura. He had black hair slicked back, brown eyes, and wore a black suit with a red tie and glasses.

"That kid's firepower was insane; I think he was holding back too. He used a beginner-tier spell to take out ten targets", Daichi said.

"That kid is pretty strong, not to mention I heard he was using beast magic to fly around the campus. There's a rumor that he's an angel," Yuuta said.

"Who is this kid? How can he accomplish such a feat? How could he defeat an S-rank teacher in martial arts and power? He was able to score a perfect score on the written exam; I mean, kids his age are barely reading, let alone doing all of this", Takenaga asked.

"He's the Royal magician's son, the son of Naru Kaguragi," Saito said.

Suddenly all the expressions of the teachers turned dark. They were all surprised.

"Naru Kaguragi, that bastard's the kid's father," Daichi shouted.

"Yeah, Naru Kaguragi. That's his son, and I believe that boy may have read a grimoire."

"A grimoire," Daichi asked while looking confused.

"Yeah, but reading a grimoire isn't against the law. He's a child, and if he did read it, that means that he had the potential to get past the magic traps and curses set by creators of those grimoires", Saito said while pushing up his glasses.

"It would explain his hair and eye color," Yuuta said.

"Yeah, a powerful albino child shows us to the entrance exam and mops the floor with the other students. This child may be the key to our magic's future", Takenaga said.

"That is true; Kanami Kaguragi is our top scorer and our first rank in this group of freshmen. Though that little boy has so much information lodged into his mind, it's insane how he can produce such results. What other information do we have about this child," Saito asked.

"Earlier today, he was with the S-Rank martial artist Ryu Nanashima," Yuuta said.

"Wait, you're saying this now," everyone shouted at him.

Suddenly he felt bad that he had brought up the subject.

"Yeah, it seems like he was training him in martial arts, and I have an idea who might have been teaching him magic."

"Who," Takenaga asked.

"Kakeru Setagawa, an S-rank Magician and martial artist. His magic is brilliant, although his martial arts is nowhere near close to Ryu's", Yuuta said while sounding severe.

"This kid just keeps getting more interesting," they all thought.

"Kakeru Setagawa, a man with terrifying power," Saito thought.

After the meeting...

Kanami was waiting with all of the other students. There was a stage with a podium in the center. Although since Kanami was so small, he was jumping. Kanami received a lot of stares from all of the students. A group of girls came over to him.

"Cute," they all thought.

One of the girls grabbed him and began hugging him. She had orange hair worn in pigtails with blue ribbons and brown eyes.

"What's your name, little one? I'm Manami Shirigane," she said.

"My name is Kanami Kaguragi; it's nice to meet you"?

"Are you waiting for your elder brother or sister?" she asked.

"No, I took the exam and had to wait until they posted the results."

"Oh, I heard rumors about a child taking the exams, then it's true. And you're as cute as a little girl, Kanakana".

"Kanakana", Kanami thought.

"Hey, Manami, hand over the angel; I want to hug him too," a girl said.

"No way, he's too adorable; I wish I had a little brother as cute as him," Manami shouted.

"I heard that," someone shouted as they ran over.

"Who are you," Kanami asked.

"I'm Tamaki Shirigane, her little brother," he said.

Tamaki had long orange hair worn in a low ponytail and brown eyes.

"It's nice to meet you," Kanami said with a smile.

"Cute," he thought.

"Hey, Manami let him go already," Tamaki shouted.

"Alright, he's like a teddy bear; it's just that KanaKana is adorable."

She let go and then began squishing Kanami's cheeks.

"Just look at how chubby his cheeks are."

"Manabi, wet go of bly beeks, please," Kanami said as his cheeks squished.

She let go, and Kanami rubbed his cheeks with a pout.

"So cute."

Five flames were shot into the air.

"Magic," Kanami thought.

Everyone was surprised by the sudden magic.

"May I have your attention, everyone" Saito shouted.

There were teachers on stage with the principal, who waited for most people to turn their heads.

"My name is Saito Usumura; I am the academy's principal or headmaster. We have finished with the results; I will announce the top ten students that passed", he said.

Everyone grew quiet.

"Each student, please come up to the stage, our top student, Kanami Kaguragi."

Kanami made his wings appear and flew to the stage.

"KanaKana can use beast magic," Manami said.

"It was true; a child was taking the exam," people began murmuring.

"Beast magic," Saito thought.

"Tamaki Shirigane, Manami Shirigane, Futaba Karuikawa, Ryouta Karasumi, Kazuma Seitoshi, Karuma Nagashima, Aiko Nakimura, Shigure Narita, and Sakuri Sakurai," as Saito called these names, they came to the stage.

Futaba had brown hair and brown eyes. She wore a yellow dress and brown boots with white stockings. Her dress also had white frills at the shoulders and long white sleeves. Ryouta has purple hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a white dress buttoned down shirt and black leather pants. He wore black boots with them. Kazuma has blonde hair and blue eyes; he wears a white dress shirt with a black vest and black dress pants. Karuma has dark blue hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black shirt with red pants. Aiko had long black hair and blue eyes. she was wearing a blue dress with black boots. Shigure had red hair and green eyes. She wore a black shirt revealing her stomach and a black skirt. Sakuri has pink hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a blue scarf and rapped around the house. She was a blue blouse with a black skirt.

"These are our top ten; everyone who was not calling is either posted after or has not made it; please check your names on the examination board," Saito said.

Suddenly all the students that were off stage ran towards the board.

Saito turned to Kanami; he smiled at him.

"It's nice to meet you, Kanami Kaguragi; you are this year's top scorer on the entrance exams. It was impressive how many teachers and students have been talking about you. I mean, considering that a five-year-old wants to attend here. It's amazing how brilliant you are, considering how young you are, Kanami. I've met your father before; he's the Royal magician, I've met him many times, and he told me of dreaming of doing great things. In this town, Naru is known as a hero, so don't let that stop you from creating your own story here, little one", he said.

"Thank you," Kanami said with a smile.

"Cute," they all thought.

"Well, the first day of the semester is in two weeks, on April 25; please follow me", Saito said.

After following him, they arrived at the uniform maker's office. A man was using magic to make a uniform for the school. The office was covered in different designs and clothes. His name was Satomi Hitoshima.

"Hello, principle Saito. Are these students in the top ten" Satomi asked?

Satomi had visible bags under his eyes. He had black hair and wore red-framed glasses. He had blue eyes and wore a blue suit with a long coat.

"Yeah, and the top ten are to wear black suits, not white please remember Satomi"?

"Yes, by the way, nice to meet everyone; I'm Satomi Hiroshima," he said, unenthused.

Then he saw Kanami. Suddenly he perked up and smiled.

"I know the perfect way to make your uniform suit you. You'll have shorts instead of pants, which would be very cute", Satomi said as he became excited.

"Shorts sounds nice; it will be easier to move around in them," Kanami said.

"Hey Satomi, please tell me you didn't turn into a pedophile," Saito asked.

"I didn't. I just thought it would've been adorable. Also, you know, it's not often that I get to make clothing for children".

After measuring everyone for their uniforms, Satomi used his speed fashion skills. He used magic sewing quickly and efficiently. He finished all ten uniforms.

"Hey, why don't you all try it on," Satomi said while giving each of them their uniform.

After changing...

Everyone wore black suits, and Kanami was the only one wearing shorts instead of pants. The girls wore black skirts, while the boys wore black slacks. The girls had red ribbons on their uniforms, while the boys had red ties on theirs.

"It's a perfect fit, thank you, Mr. Satomi," Kanami said.

"N-no problem," he stuttered as he saw his smile.

"The top ten students receive their uniforms and schooling for free. As long as your grades are in the top ten, you won't have to worry about school fees", Saito said.

"So as long as we pass any test you guys give us, we get to enjoy the free life at the academy," Tamaki asked.

"Yes, that's correct; we implemented that so that commoners and people with poor upbringings can have a chance to become something. That's why the entrance exam is free."

"That's such a nice program, but if you want to give people a chance, you should make it the top 30 students; that's why there could be a class that receives benefits," Kazuma said.

"Hmmm, why don't you run for student government? You could be the first-year representative and bring that up to the school council."

"That's not a bad idea; I might do that so that others have a chance."

"Well, the classes are set as follows for S1-1 or S-class. A1-2, A-class, B1-3 or B-class; C1-4 or C Class; D1-5, D-class, E1-6 or E-class; and finally, F1-7 or F-class. There are around 30 students per classroom, seven classes in each grade, and three grades or years. That is 630 students, not subtracting dropouts or adding transfer students. So an average of 630 in this school every year, although some quit because they can't handle the curriculum."

Kanami looked at the principal.

"I'll give it my all," Kanami shouted.

"Kanami, you're already at the top of your class at five years old; your classmates will feel jealous at this rate."

"But isn't it good to be smarter at a young age, so they don't end up in high school dropouts," Satomi asked.

"Hey, I ate candy at five and played with my friends. I wouldn't say I liked the sight of books, but this child is a prodigy. His brain power is off the charts, and his magic skill is incredible, considering he's at a tender age."

Kanami smiled.

"Though that means this year will be interesting," Saito thought.
