Chapter :10

Carefully holding the Omni sword in my hand, I advanced into the forest. I haven't worn any armour or safety gear yet. I'm currently in my track suit pants and jacket, both pitch black in colour. My hair is tied in a ponytail, and I'm wearing grey sports shoes.

After walking for five minutes, I reached the location of the first red icon on the map. The icon appears as a medium-intensity dark red, indicating that this monster is more powerful than the ones with lighter red icons.

I observed the monster from behind a tree. In front of me stood a green-coloured creature, with a horrendous appearance. It had a hideous face with large, protruding lips, a long and broad nose, bald head, and long, slimy canine teeth.

He hasn't worn anything on his body; he's completely naked. Despite being as tall as a ten-year-old child, his body is fully developed. A black aura emanates from his body, and he's wielding a wooden club with spikes in his right hand.

He's currently busy devouring his prey. I calmed my mind and quietly stepped out from behind the tree. He sensed my presence, abandoned his meal, and grabbed his club.

As soon as he saw me, he charged towards me, swinging the wooden club over his head, intending to smash my skull. He's under the delusion that he's the strongest.

"Grraaawll!!" he growled aggressively.

As he swung the club downwards, I instinctively moved backwards a bit, causing his aim to miss, and his club hit the ground with a thud. Surprisingly, his strike created a hole in the ground.

" Crack"

Shocked, I regained my composure and took advantage of the opportunity, swiftly striking his neck with my sword. My blade sliced through his neck like butter separating his head from his body.

He vanished into the mist, leaving behind some dropped items.

[ Keep going it won't take much longer ]

I continued to follow Sera's advice and kept hunting down these green goblins, storing their loot drops in the [Inventory]. I also encountered trolls, orcs, and even hunted some rabbits for their meat.

Three hours later, as I retrieved the sword from the heart of the last monster, it disintegrated into dust and vanished, leaving behind its magic stone and item drops.

"[Well, ten percent complete. That's enough for today.]"

"Ahmm..." Listening to seras words, I stretched my hands and stored all the drops in the Item Box.

"Alright, let's go. I'm hungry, and it's lunchtime," I said, realising that I had been engrossed in controlling my powers and fighting since morning, forgetting to eat out of excitement.

I opened the map, using my skill. There are only a few monsters left in the north direction; I've already defeated more than three hundred monsters on this side today.

Looking at the map, I started walking towards the west and south directions. Suddenly, I noticed a white-coloured icon on the map, near the location of the previously encountered strong enemy with the dark red icon. The white icon indicates a neutral party, and it's currently blinking, which means it's in danger and about to be attacked as the dark red icon is just some feets away from it.

Since this morning when I stepped outside the barrier, I had a feeling that there was something on the left side. But I ignored it at that time, but now I know what it is.

Normally, there are no white-coloured icons or beings in this forest on the map because I'm the only human or former human here , and all the other creatures are monsters shown in red. This means that the presence of white indicates either a being capable of independent thought and not classified as a monster, or it's a mysterious entity that doesn't pose a threat to humans normally.

I changed my course and headed towards the location of the blinking white icon. The blinking was becoming faster. I need to reach there faster or that being will definitely die.

"Just a little more, I'm almost there. Dammit!!"

*whoosh*

Unconsciously, I used some wind magic to propel myself forward and my speed was approaching the sound barrier. I ignored all the creatures coming my way and leaped into the air with a long jump leaving behind fractured ground with the force of my jump. As soon as I spotted a small clearing without trees, I opened my [Item Box] and took out the Absolute spear.

[Absolute Spear] :: The one and only spear that exceeds the Divine Spear. It's said that this spear can pierce anything, depending on the contractor. This spear can't be broken. "[Wait a moment–]"

"Stay away from him, you bastard!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs as I hurled the spear with all my strength towards the red monster who was about to crush a black-coloured wolf.

*Whoos!!*

*Boom!!*

*Shatter!!*

*Splash!!*

By the time Sera calmed my mind, I had already thrown the spear. Sometimes I also get angry when I see a powerful being bullying the weak.

My thrown spear shattered the sound barrier, creating a glass breaking sound that resonated throughout the forest. It went straight for the red monster's head, smashing it like a watermelon. But in my rage, the spear didn't stop, and it continued towards the being I was trying to save.

"STOP!!!"

I quickly commanded it to stop, and thankfully, it halted a few inches away from the beings head.

*Thud*

"Ha~ safe landing," I exclaimed, the whole incident happening so fast that it didn't even take me seconds to react. My jump was so massive that I had flown a full 500 metres.

[ Now, snap out of it and heal him quickly or he'll die if you don't ]Sera reminded me.

"Oops... haha, right!" I had completely forgotten about it. I swiftly took out a healing potion from my [ Inventory more] and poured it over his body.

As soon as I administered the healing potion, the white icon on the map stabilised. When I looked closely, he looked like a puppy dog, his condition was grave even before administering the potion.

His fur was all torn, one of his ears was missing, and it seemed like all his bones were broken, yet he was alive.

[It doesn't seem like the work of that red monster. He must have been injured before, which is why he came under his attack.]

[ It looks like someone has used some kind of curse which has made its natural recovery and regeneration totally useless.]

"Who would want to torture a small puppy like this?"

[ I have to examine it for further details ]

"Let's take it home and examine it there," I said, picking up the wolf puppy and heading towards our house.

After reaching home, Sera separated from me. I laid the unconscious wolf puppy on the table. I asked, "So, how do we break this curse? It doesn't seem like a curse from this world; it seems more like a curse from another world, or maybe higher dimension" The curse on this wolf doesn't match the magic system of this world, as described in Sage's book.So, I asked Sera what she plans to do.

"This shouldn't be a big problem. It should break with one of our basic spells, but let me try something," Sera said, going inside to do something. Although the potion has healed the wolf pup for now, no matter how absurd the potion might be, it can't fix the curse.

A little later, Sera returned with a tub and some healing herbs from the garden.

Inside the cabin, Sera filled a tub with warm water using water magic and added some healing herbs directly to it. Then, she dropped some magic stones, each the size of a fist, of Bloody Ogre into the water. She began chanting some spells.

This is a basic healing spell that we had developed.

A shimmering magic circle formed above the tub, decorated with various geometric patterns and inscribed with mysterious words around its circumference.

Afterward, Sera took the unconscious wolf from the table and gently lowered him into the prepared healing water before I even had a chance to ask. And without waiting for my question, she began to explain.

[When I was examining the magic system of this world, I had an idea. What if we treat the magic core of monsters as their soul? Can we then transfer any restrictions placed on someone else's soul onto that magic stone? It seems to be working, and I included the herbs to assist in healing in case of any side effects.]

"Hmm... makes sense. Hey Sera, did you check him with Appraisal, or did you forget again?" I said, remembering how we had acquired so much knowledge in that dimension that we rarely needed to use Appraisal. So, Sera and I have gotten into the habit of not using Appraisal, basically relying only on ourselves instead of other things or skills.

"Ah... I was just about to do it," Sera replied sheepishly.

"Pffff~ hahaha 🤣 🤣" I burst into laughter, holding my stomach. She had actually forgotten, and her face turned red with embarrassment, which was quite rare for her.

"So, does that mean if we hadn't saved it, it wouldn't have died?"

[Hmm 🤔... No, this is an alternate universe, so anime logic might apply here, but it's not necessary that everything that happened in the anime will happen here too.]

It is true whenever Sera is serious her eyes have a sharp look and her expression transforms into a cool Onesan type which makes my heart flutter. Every time I see her, even now it makes me want to kiss those soft and sexy lips which are murmuring some spells like words, which sounds like two languages spoken together.

I walked towards her and hugged her waist and locked eyes with her. I expressed what was on my mind, which made her blush.

"Idiot hubby!" She said burying her face against my chest, seeing her cute side made me unable to resist and I lifted her chin.

Kiss

I kissed her soft, red lips. My tongue found the way to her mouth and we both started trying to dominate each other's tongue. Our tongues were dancing together, my hands reached her bum and started massaging it. Just as we were about to move forward.

"Woof!"

We were startled by the barking sound of a wolf.
