First Taste of Revenge

I never imagined that his reaction would spark something within me that would get stronger.

I used to think there might be more reasons why he chose to love his costar rather than me, but even with all the excuses I've been coming up with to justify this baseless hatred, it was still enough to make me happy when he died.

I began observing everything about him, including his movements and facial expressions. Maybe only if Raven noticed this would he reward me.

"Lucas, are you alright?" I inquired.

When he stared at me, his expression contorted.

"Scarlett, please, please tell me that I'm still dreaming." His legs failed him. His hands were still shaking as he put his back against the chilly wall and concentrated on his phone.

He possessed the brokenness I had been hoping to witness. His face was a type of one-fourth mirror of my previous self, with betrayal, anger, and confusion across it.

His expression made me want to chuckle, but at that moment, all I could do was pretend to sympathize with him.

I held him close to me and kept petting his head while he sobbed uncontrollably.

"Lucas, I suppose there are instances when we must go through suffering to decide what to do next. You realize that life is difficult in this cruel world."

He said nothing, so I left him alone.

He wept in my arms till the pitch-black night gave way to a brilliant sky the color of the ocean.

As the sun reaches my eyes, I turn to look beside me and notice a fallen angel whom I used to worship.

I was able to trace his gentle, white face and was transported back to that spot five years ago when I woke up next to him and saw his defenseless face. An individual type, incapable of shattering hearts

Yet, he did.

"What do you know, Scarlett?" He opened his eyes and gave me a direct look.

A pair of eyes that I once had when conversing with the devilish CEO

"I desire revenge." He was on top of me as I fell to the ground due to his firm hold on my hands.

Then, how similar are we that something I previously uttered played out in his mouth?

I tried not to laugh, but I wanted to.

Merely brushing his cheeks, I sensed his warmth. When I pinched his cheeks, he flinched a second time and stood perfectly still.

"It hurt."

"So, Lucas, you're not dreaming at all?"

"Scarlett, that was a late response from last night already."

"Is a word ever going to expire?"

He stopped and considered. That being said, I laughed and responded to my query because it wasn't amusing at all to watch him think that way.

"I suppose there is."

"How?"

"Exactly what you mentioned earlier and what I have personally encountered"

"I know what I said earlier, but tell me about your previous experiences."

"Can you recall where I initially met Raven?" I then gave him the narrative of how we met once more, leaving out any significant details that I thought he would remember when his memories returned.

"But isn't that man deserving of your vengeance?"

"Does that mean I have to go back to my past and ruin myself again since I already fell in love with someone else?"

"But how come you could let go of your past so easily if you're not going to get your revenge?"

"I never said letting go of the past; I just said I'm already in love."

"Given that you stated you don't desire retribution, isn't that the same thing?"

"Let's just say they're not the same."

"How?"

"Because who are you in the present if your past hadn't taught you anything? If it weren't for the person who nearly destroyed you, would you still fall in love with someone who genuinely deserves you?"

"I had the impression that I was listening to a master."

"A foolish one..."

To end our engagement, I suppose I want you to show me how to fall in love with someone else.

"You mentioned you would get married in a few months, right?"

"Scarlett, I don't intend to marry a cheater."

"After that, I have a better idea. Would you mind lending me your ears for a little while?"

After a few days, Raven returned from his business trip abroad, and I was able to get close to Lucas as I had hoped.

Lucas continued to occupy himself as he had been for the previous few days, despite Sophia's apparent concerns.

Nevertheless, Lucas and I came up with a scheme to prevent her from becoming suspicious.

"Have the two of you already selected a date?"

Our friend asked Raven and me. I laughed as I faced my fiancé and laced my fingers around his.

"In actuality, we don't have any... unlike the two that you know," they both gasped, laughing as they turned to face Sophia and Lucas. It appears that Lucas continued to portray himself as an innocent man in an attempt to allay Sophia's doubts.

Even though his eyes told me he had enough

"Well, we just had a conversation about it and decided to put off our wedding until next year because we're both busy."

"Oh, how depressing!"

"Well, it's a part of life. In addition, we must have more fun during Crystal's wedding!" As we followed, Sophia exclaimed and raised a glass of her champagne.

Lucas and I were still awake after an hour of chatting, acting, laughing, and grinning. Everyone else glanced down at the table and went to sleep.

While some dozed off on the enormous nipa hut outside the villa, Raven led Sophia to her room.

Even though it was nighttime and dark, everything was golden, including the lights.

As I made my way towards the ocean, I could feel the chilly wind enveloping me. Naturally, I shivered, but I stayed longer than I had anticipated because I enjoyed the sound of the waves.

"You shouldn't be outside because it's cold out here."

"Similar to you," I chuckled as Lucas took a seat beside me.

"Here"

"Lucas, why don't you put it around my shoulders and be a gentleman?" He just sighed when I made fun of him.

"Additionally, wouldn't you like to start a rumor and keep it quiet from Sophia? Is that the only thing you've been doing well these past few days?"

He laughed and gave a nod.

I stared at him, and he bowed to match my head, asking, "What about Raven?" I've dealt with these two men before, so we both know what we're doing.

For no other reason than to win the girl back from the man who crushed my heart, one man requested me to exact my revenge. How oddly, the man who destroyed my heart five years ago was now pleading to break his engagement with the woman that he cheated on me.

Then, out of the blue, he made a bargain, and I must now pursue my ambitions at last.

I drew him nearer to me and planted a kiss on his lips.

"Now that we're together, I don't care about him anymore." He laughed and planted a deeper kiss on my lips than I did.

"So, you need to prove it tonight."

"Don't you have any other business to attend to?"

"Are you referring to Sophia when you say business?"

"You know how saying her name makes your face bitter already?"

"Someone who never values loyalty is not someone I value."

"So, how do you feel about me?"

When he abruptly carried me, I gasped and nearly stopped speaking.

"I believe you to be unique among the others."

"So, what distinguishes me from that?"

"This is where your heart is located," he gestured to my chest.

"It never lied to me about the beating it gave me."

"What are you saying?"

"I'll show you now." He touched my heart with his forehead, and I felt a heartbeat skip.

"It remained to race," he grinned, not giving a damn whether our buddies saw us as we made our way to his room next to Sophia.

I never imagined that this would be in this man's plans, but they decided not to share a couple room for the time being after a small argument earlier.

I became more aware of his dark side the closer I got to him.

"After we take this action here, there's no going back."

After laying me down on the plush mattress, he gave me an intense look in the eyes.

He was so serious that I laughed, but then he bit my ears and I cried out.

"Tonight, I'll make you even more special than Sophia so you can move past the hurtful men."

I put my hands around his neck and drew him in close, kissing him so passionately that we both started to struggle for air.

"I let you examine and feel me."

"Scarlett, you're such a challenge."

"Let's just say, Lucas, that I am all you could ever imagine and flee now. As you stated, there is no going back."

We met eyes, and I could feel his hands encircling every inch of my body. His eyes met mine, and they constantly focused on my lips and the way I bit them.

Then, with one hand roaming over my intimate area, he gave me a strong kiss.

"Lucas." Between our kisses, I felt him smirk as I moaned and said his name.

"Scarlett, I'm beginning to fall in love with you."

"Then, Lucas, show it rather than just say it." He sucked one of my mountains, and I enjoyed the thrill of arching my back.

He wrapped both of my hands around his neck and continuously scratched it.

"You're tight, Scarlett." His tip began to run between my legs, and when he eventually filled the void in my mouth below, I moaned.

"Lucas, would you prefer to use a video of us fucking?"

"I will, but not at this time. Scarlett, I wanted to experience everything about you for the first time."

He moaned as I took a bite out of his ears.

"Then allow me to say your name and cum before you do, and I might just think twice about helping."

"You turned mischievous, Scarlett."

I had no idea that when we made love, it would leave me wondering if I had ever wanted revenge or if it was really true that I had let go.

"Lucas, I'd like you to sing at my fan event tomorrow."

"Sorry, Sophia, but I suppose the drama will begin tomorrow as well."

"Could you please come over as soon as you're done filming?"

"You do realize that I still have a lot of things to discuss with the director, right Scarlett?"

After almost choking on my morning coffee, I smiled and nodded to restore my composure.

Then all of a sudden I remember yesterday night, the night Lucas and I made our agreement, and how his shaft grew to the point that it nearly reached my womb.

"Scarlett, do you feel okay? Your face looks red."

"Must be the weather from last night, I'm fine," As I sip my coffee, I look at Lucas, who is grinning back at me.

"Lucas, may I apologize?"

I gave him a mischievous smile and gave Sophia a gentle stroke on the head.

"No issue, but I felt chilly last night."

Lucas's devious side is now showing...

"Really?"

"Actually..."

"So you owe me once more."

Before a hand grabbed me and dragged me away from the public's view, I was listening to them.

"You've finally made up your mind to fuck him, huh? Scarlett, what did I say when I claimed I don't share what's mine?"

"First things first, Raven."

"And what's first thing to you, Scarlett, or should I say Jas----"
