Chapter-5 Dinner

She was now standing In the kitchen, the chocolate box was in her hand. She was thinking about how to give this gift to him. She longingly looked at the chocolates fighting with the devil inside her, the devil who was saying to eat it herself and the other one, angel who was saying to give it to him. She doesn't want to get lost in her greediness, so she shook her head, removing all these greedy thoughts trying to distract herself. For now, she needs a plan. She peeked her head out from the kitchen a little. The kitchen was just between the dining and living room, so it was easy for her to see parents from there knowing that no one has noticed her absence, she had a sigh of relief, just for it to vanished as soon as it came when she saw a pain of beautiful eyes looking at her,

she could feel a little worreiness in them.

It was Damon who was looking at her, he saw her when she left from there because sulkily his eyes were on her the whole time.

She smiled as she put a finger on her lips asking him to keep silent. Then she moved her hands telling him to come over, anyway, he might be bored there too listening to all of their parents chat about work only and 'she would also manage to give the gift to him' She thought.

The boy furrowed his eyebrows but seeing that she was persistent in calling him, after hesitating for a while, he moved towards her.

Kasia was happy seeing that he didn't ignore her and nevertheless wasn't completely cold and had just ignored her, because from his face, she felt he could. But her guts were right to believe that he wasn't all cold after all.

He moved towards the kitchen where Kasia was calling her, without the parents realizing that their children were gone from there, all under their noses.. ready to start their first step of friendship.

He came there. As now, he was standing just beside her. He doesn't know what to say and how to start a conversation.

Leaving him from worrying about starting a conversation, she first said "Hello."

Daman replied back with a 'Hi' but it was almost like a whisper, but she heard it anyway.

A big smile formed on her lips as she moved the chocolates which were in her hand towards him. Damon looked at the box with confusion as he asked in his little, small audible voice "What is this?"

"Meeting gift" Kasia instantly replied giving the chocolates in his hands instantly which were in her hands just before afraid of him refusing.

""Why" The word left his mouth without his consent instantly. He wanted to slap off his mouth and wanted to take his words back, but the words had already left his mouth, he couldn't take them back.

Thankfully, looking at her face, Kasia doesn't seem to mind his silly questions as there was still that sweet smile on her face.

"Mom said that you guys would be our neighbors, and I can make you my friend" Kasia said not knowing how her voice and reasoning was sounding childish and her voice can't be cuter than this. She then asked with hesitation "Well, will you be my friend?" She was sounding very nervous when she asked this question fearing that he would refuse her.

He almost wanted to say yes, but like his lips were glued together , no word came out from his mouth. Just as he was feeling silly standing there without answering, there came voices of their parents seeming to find them as they finally noticed that their children were gone.

They looked towards each other as they moved towards the living room again, fast.

"What happened Mom?" Kasia asked, making her voice as innocent and childish as she could.

Her mom looked at her as she asked "Where were you just now?" Her eyes also went off to Damon for a while, returning back to her.

"Well, children maybe wanted to have a good chat and become friends, Amelia." Damon's mom, aunt Chloe said that.

"Mom, Damon was feeling thirsty, and wanted water. So, I just told him the way to the kitchen." Kasia said. This was the lamest excuse she knew, as the water was in the living room all along. But she hopes her parents don't notice.

She looked towards Damon and asked him "Right? Damon."

Damon nodded his head, agreeing with her. The box of chocolates was still in his hands as his parents looked at it but didn't say anything as they just smiled having a little meaning in their eyes which now, he was unable to understand.

"Ok, Mr and Miss Andilet, we have to go now." Uncle Edward and Chloe said. "Today having dinner with you guys was a pleasant moment. Even Damon enjoyed meeting little Kasia." Aunt Chloe said, making Damon blush but unable to refute her words.

"Ok, Mr Edward, let's meet often, anyway we are neighbors." Uncle Edward said to Kasia's father with his always cheerful voice.

"Yes." Compared to him, her father's voice sounded cold as ice. He was warm and her father was cold. 'What a big difference.' Kasia thought smiling.

Kasia then said to him, "Well, Uncle Edward I don't know of them, but I will visit you guys, I can visit right?" Kasia asked.

"Afcourse Kasia, we will be very pleased, and Damon will get a playmate too." Aunt Chloe said beating her dad to it who was looking like to refuse her.

"You both are so sweet." Kasia said with a smile, buttering them with prasis.

Aunt Chloe and Uncle Edward, both chuckled hearing her sweet talk as Aunt Chloe pinched her cheeks patting her head.

"Ok, Kasia come tomorrow to meet aunty."

"Yes." Kasia nodded her head in a frantic motion.

Kasia was now in her room ready to sleep, seeing the neighbors lights turned off, she couldn't help thinking about today. Well, Damon was a good boy and cute too. She thought the last one with a twinkle in her eyes, yes "cute". She likes cute things.

"Well, let's wait for another day, another teen life adventure." Kasia thought as she slept, turning the lights off as well as closing the curtains.
