Lab Rats

Revan left and went towards the Wastelands once more. He met back with his group and placed and raised the sack into the air. He raised his voice, "Hello, hello... I have something to say." He lowered his voice once more. "I went out and bought some super foods for you guys. These purple mushrooms will aid your recovery and performance. The only thing is..... I don't know if there are any side effects. So if you want to try them I can't guarantee your safety. I'll try my best to get you help though. So..... any takers?"

Revan was actually surprised. It didn't take long before a 30 or so brave men walked up and formed a line.

Revan: Alright, everyone will get half a shroom to start. Whatever you do..... don't eat more

Revan went through the group and handed off their portions. Some of them waited to see the others take a bite first. Some of them men threw the shroom directly into their mouths and started chewing. Some of them were quite savage, they chewed without restraint. Purple juice dripped from the corner of a few of their mouths.

Revan: How is it? Do you feel anything yet?

"Nope"

"Nothing here"

"Nothing sir"

"Maybe it doesn't work?"

Revan: Wait 30 minutes and we'll see if you still feel nothing..... and if that is the case... wait another 30 minutes

The group sat around and waited to see if anything happened.

At the 30 minute mark some of the participants started to feel the effects. "It seems like my eyesight has become better.... it's like I can focus in on detail to an extreme amount. My body also feels lighter and more refreshed.... I used to have lower back pain but all of that is gone now. Is this a miracle food? My body feels like it's flowing with vitality."

Soon enough the other men started to agree and give similar descriptions of what they were experiencing.

It was now the 45 minute mark and they were all experiencing the benefits.

BANG

One of the men easily crushed a small boulder and another was running at a much faster pace than normal. His breathing was still steady... he still hadn't pushed his limits.

Revan thought, "It's like it pushes your bodies normal capabilities to the absolute limit and I'm sure in higher doses it only works better."

Revan: Get some rest and we'll see how you're doing in the morning. If you guys feel more confident and want to try the mushrooms as well you'll have the chance in the future. Even I haven't tested the mushrooms myself.... I will only be doing so after a 1 week buffer period to ensure my safety.
