Chapter 8 (now)

Natasha's P.O.V

''Tyson, come on baby, we're going to be late,'' I call through the house.

''Mommy I'm not a baby.'' He whines and I smile. My son is my everything. He's only 8 years old but he acts so mature and he's extremely clever. It makes me wonder were he got it from.

''You're going to be late for school.'' I look into his green eyes that he inherited from his father.

After I left Tyler, I went to my mom's house. Later Paul came over to the house. He was very disappointed, he said he'll still help. When I told them I was pregnant, they were ecstatic. I was honestly surprised when Paul said he'd keep the secret. Now 8 years later I couldn't be happier. My friends are absolutely amazing, all moved up north with me and I have a great job.

''I'll see you after school baby.'' I wave him goodbye. ''Mommy.'' He whines. I laugh to myself at his frustration.

I park my 2017 Audi A7 in Lankson Inc parking lot where I work as the personal assistant to the CEO.

I make my way to my desk on the top floor.

I make it to my station before the boss is here. So I get started with my usual routine. I go down to the break room and make two coffees. I make my way back to my desk, that is in front of his office. The elevator opens to reveal a handsome man in a dark blue three suit with one hand in his pocket and the other holding his phone texting.

I stand up in respect as he walks over to his office. ''Good morning Mr Lankson.''

''Good morning Ms Vanvet. Can I see you in my office please?'' He asks.

''Yes sir,'' I answer while nodding.

As I enter I close the door. He gives me a massive kiss, laced with lust and passion. ''You know it turns me on when you call me sir.'' He moans as he kisses my neck. I know, cliché but we just hit it off.

Inside the office, Alex and I try to be as professional as possible, which is very hard. Alex doesn't really care if people know but I just think people will think that I just got this job because of my body, not me. It's not only that but it helps us get our work done. I go out of the office quickly and grab the coffees which are still hot.

''So are you excited for the ball?'' He queries. ''Yes, I have the perfect dress.'' I imagine the dress with the mask. ''Are you sure that Tyson shouldn't come?''

''Absolutely, I don't want him to go missing since I can't run after him everytime I can't see him and he's going to get bored.''

''So you're sure I can invite my friends over?'' I ask.

''Yeah I don't want you to be lonely when I'm not with you.''

Alex and I started dating after I started working him. For two years we have been maintaining a stable relationship. Alex and I have had sex and it is amazing. He loves Tyson so much is a huge relief off my shoulder because I need the guys in my life to get along each other. There are times when I wish Tyler were here with us but there is a part of me that is scared that he'll take Tyson with him.

''Man I wish I can take you right here, right now.'' He says in between the kisses that he places further down my chest. ''What's stopping you?'' I say seductively.

''You know that we have a very important meeting with a potential partnership.'' I sigh.

''I will go down and prepare the conference room. So it's you, me, managing director, the deputy and the four other people from the other company.'' He nods.

I make my way from the 20th floor to the 15th. I walking into one of the conference rooms and place a presentation at every seat. I place a glass delicately at each seat and fill them 3/4 full.

The managing director and his deputy walk in followed by Alex. They take their place at the table. ''They should be here in a few minutes.'' I sit next to Alex and I pick up my notebook from the table. As the door opens we all stand up.

Three men walk in to the room. Each of then take a seat at the table. ''The CEO will be here in second. He's just finishing up a phone call.'' One of the men says.

Before we could sit down, a man walks in. I lift my head up and drop everything.
