CLEO'S P.O.V

I glare at the back of his head, making sure he felt every inch of the burn but it was just my luck when Mr. Marvin suddenly had an intuition that one of his students had dared not to pay attention to the cr*p that was pouring out of his mouth which was forever twisted in a scowl.

"Miss Summers, is my lecture boring you?" His salt pepper head turns in my direction and I did everything in my power to focus on his eyebrows rather than the funky thing sitting on his nose otherwise known as his modern and very inept reading glasses.

"You tell me" I mutter under my breath but the student sitting next to me makes a big deal of it by gasping and covering her mouth with her manicured fingers. She was acting as if I committed blasphemy.

"Did you say something, Miss Summers?" Mr. Marvin's eyes narrowed a fraction and I had to lower my gaze to his twitching right eye. But my eyes betray me by glancing at his glasses. Sh*t.

I press my lips together to stop the laugh that was threatening to spill. I bit the inside of my cheek when he reached a hand up to fix those glasses. Could they be fake? Just an addition he made to his fashion?

"Did I crack a joke?" His voice takes on a warning tone and a little smile slips on my face. Ah f*ck!

"You didn't have to". This time the girl next to me didn't have to give out a over the top reaction. In fact something even worse happened. Jeez. If only that was something new. Now the maths teacher hated me as much I hated him. Why did he had to have good listening skills?!

"Out of my class this instant! I am letting you off with a detention this time, Miss Summers. But make that mistake twice and you can take it up with the Principal" he flicks a hand in the direction of the door, silent rage seeping in his hardened face. What got up in that old wrinkly a*s and died.

"And please don't be too surprised when you don't get the best grade this term" He purrs with a cold smile. I throw my things inside my bag and shoulder it not before shooting one last glare at Mr. Marvin before walking towards the door. I turn around when I hear a snicker or two and some whispers circling the class.

I tilt my head to the side and flip them off with both my fingers while Mr. Marvin has his head turned away. A certain pair of eyes catch mine and he had the nerve to wink at me as if we were exchanging some inside joke. The very same guy I had been glaring at since class started. Could you blame me?! The guy kept throwing paper planes in my direction!

Shane Marshall is going to get it one of these day. I swear on it. I am going to get back at him. I just need a good old plan and a smart accomplice.

"Did someone pissed in your cheerios this morning? Why the sour look?" Eva looks me over with her furrowed brows.

I ignore the question and the look on her face before changing the subject. "You thought of a plan? For this saturday, I mean. The double date you know" I take a bite out of my cheese sandwich and almost spit it out when a Cheshire grin spreads over her face. I should really point it out to her how much of a rogue vagabond she looked like that.

"On second thought I don't want to know. I lost my interest. I really don't care" Eva throws up her hands at my words barely containing the laugh wanting to escape her mouth.

"I didn't even say any-" I throw bread crumbs at her to cut her off.

"Let's keep it at that" I chuckle as a particular bread crumb get's stuck in her hair. She swats my arm in vexation before running her fingers through her hair to make sure it was nice and clean.

"My brother will be happy to know I found someone sharing his mental capabilities" Eva glares at me her fingers still fixing her hair which was a mess now.

"You say that now but when we are old and nasty, I'll still be young at heart and slaying and you'll be sitting in a rusty crooked chair knitting something resembling trash and scaring the kids away with your terrifying personality. So yeah the joke's on you, Anson" I wink at her as I throw another bit of the bread crumb at her.

"Now that you are done playing can we talk about Saturday" Eva rolls her eyes but the small twitch of her lips gave away her amusement.

"Do I really have to tag along? Don't you think that's a bit extreme?" I ponder out loud but Eva waves a hand disregarding my worries. That's first. I thought sarcastically.

"Extreme or not. I need you there to see for yourself how tightly Kade's got my cousin wounded around his little finger. Besides what if by doing this you can pick on some important detail or information" I mentally face palm at her words.

"Do you want me to let you know when they are recruiting CSI agents?" I tease and Eva laughs.

Saturday, next day...

"Are you dressing for graduation?" Eva scowls before pushing past me towards my closet. Good luck to her. She did have better luck trying to find Narnia than something in my closet.

"I don't dress to impress, Evie" I add as an afterthought before going back to painting my toe nails still wearing the 'graduation appropriate dress'.

"Well you should. Even though you are just going to be following us around like a deranged stalker, still being your best is very important" I gag at her statement. I absolutely disagree. I can look bad as f*ck if I want. I don't owe it to anybody to look pretty.

"Just find something you like and get off my back" I roll my eyes and in response get hit on my head by a pillow. I breath a sigh of relief when I see that the impact didn't ruin my nail paint.

"I swear this is the last time I am going to touch this closet of yours-Hey I found something! Not wearing this would be an insult" I turn around to see her holding a white cotton sundress with embroidered elbow sleeves.

"It's a little cold so I'll grab a cardigan for you while you get changed. Now, chop-chop" she claps her hands and practically pushes me in the direction of my washroom.

I quickly change into it and untie my long locks before running a brush through them. Wow. It's been so long since I last wore it. I think I wore it on my dad's birthday last year.

"Don't you look cute unlike your personality" Eva teases with a wink before uncaping the tube of lip gloss in her hands and applying it. I apply mascara to my lashes while Eva smoothes down a hand over her black safari shirt paired with high waisted ripped jeans.

"What time is your boyfriend picking you up?" I inquire before squatting down and fumbling under my bed for a pair of flats which I bought without my mom knowing. She would kill me if she found that I bought another pair despite having quiet a many. Hence why they were hidden under my bed.

"He's picking me up like...right now" Eva glances at her wrist watch and I nod my head.

"Alright then I'll see you at the Sundown Fair at 7, 'kay? I confirm before grabbing my cardigan.

"Of course" Eva grins at me before heading down the stairs humming something under her breath.

So this what I have come to. Stalking someone. If only my best friend knew. She did never let me breath again. But I guess there is a first for everything.
