last chapter: the memorial

CHAPTER: 17

                          "THE MEMORIAL"

      next morning lisa woke up, had her breakfast and got dressed in black gown frock. she drove to the memorial ceremony of vindy. she reached the church and entered in. she saw the coffin and walked towards it. she was staring at the coffin. "she said she will miss you just before dying." told marry standing near her. "she said that. i wish i can tell her how much i will miss her." said lisa. after the ceremony finished lisa was going home when marry shouted "lisa!". lisa came near her. "what is it?" questioned lisa. "you don't want to know the reason?" said marry. "i am just afraid to hear it." mentioned lisa. "i think you should listen." said marry. "then tell me." said lisa. "she took the revenge for her parents whom adam killed few years back." told marry. "thank goodness! i was frightened that what if she had no reason and then how am i going to forgive her but now i am at peace. she really had a good reason but the way she decided was a complete wrong thing. i wish to see her again but that's not possible." said lisa. "today is court trial. punishment will be decided for leny and Veronica. you wanna come?" asked marry. "i can't.  i will be gone." mentioned lisa. "to where?" asked marry. "i am going abroad. i have a flight in three hours." told lisa. "which country?" questioned marry. "the place where she was going before dying." said lisa and passed a smile. "hmm! so you'll leave!" said marry sadly. "i want a fresh start. being here reminds me of horrible things." said lisa. "good luck! stay healthy and stay in contact." said marry. lisa nodded in yes and walked away.

        officer john came outside from the church and saw marry standing. "hey! let's go." said officer john to marry. marry left with him in the car.

    In the evening marry took leny and Veronica to the court. today will be the day when everything ended. after presenting all the evidence and witnesses it was decided by the judge that leny lodge and Veronica cooper will be given six years of jail and they sent them to the detention centre. after hearing the recording of vindy Andrews all the property that Mr.lodge took by fraud will be returned to their owners and remaining to the charity. it looked like vindy finally took her revenge and all the people who were involved in any bad activity will pay for their sins.

     marry was returning from the court with officer john in a car. "congratulations! you finally completed it." said officer john. "ehm then let's go and celebrate." mentioned marry. "wow! your treat then." said officer john and laughed. "i was thinking about the date treat." said marry. "huh! what did you just say?" questioned officer john. "i will not repeat." said marry. "did you just uttered the word date?" questioned officer john shockingly. "i said i will not repeat." said marry again. "wohoo!" shouted officer john happily.

      they came back to the station. some officer took the file to marry and said "this is the file of case closure, madam. please sign it." marry held the file in her hands. "that smell." said marry while smelling the file. she took out the pen and signed the papers. "case: 17 is finally closed." said marry and left with officer john on the date.
