Capture That Feeling

With the never-ending holiday party at home, no one will miss her if she takes the same flight with that tall boy, right? All she has to do is get on the plane, never mind that the plane will bring her from Oslo to China! ------ "Would you like to come into my room, join me with some drinks and hear what I want?" she drunkenly said it at that time. "Don't worry, I don't mean any harm," she said assuring the man before she dropped herself to the couch. "Are you traveling alone? Don't you have any adult companion with you?" he carefully asked as he stood in front of Ellise. "Hey, mister, you must have difficulty understanding, I already said, I'm alone, right?" she answered back. "You're clearly too young to be drinking alone in a hotel room, in a country where you don't know anybody and on top of that you invited a stranger in your room," he said with concern. "Why, you're also too young to be having an affair with a married woman, meet her in a hotel away from the city in the middle of the night. How old are you, anyway?" she sarcastically answered back, avoiding the issue of inviting a stranger. "I'm twenty, and I'm not having an affair with a married woman," he answered with a straight face. "If you're not having an affair why the two of you clearly look like you're hiding," she said, not planning to lost an answer and question interrogation. "Listen, little girl. You better stop drinking because you're already drunk with all of these expensive wines," he said in annoyance. "You see, I have a credit card that has no limit, paying for all of my expenses here. I've been here in Shanghai since the first week of January, and today is my birthday. It's almost two months already, but nobody has come or asked my family if I'm okay." she said in a broken voice. ------- Bookcover by: Sendaline_16

Let's Just Play

“I will drop you here.” She stopped the car at the intersection. “If you walked in that direction, you would see a taxi stand on your right.”

“Can you get me back to the downtown area? I mean, my car was there.” He looked at this young girl puzzled. They have been together inside her car and he can’t get a proper read on her.

Other girls would be scared to invite a stranger inside her million dollars car. Or they could since he is a good looking man. However, he was quite sure that E didn’t invite him for a drive because he was handsome. She has the looks that would entice any man. For sure, he wasn’t the first good looking man that showed interest in her.

He gets it that she doesn’t show any interest in him. But dropping him in the side of the highway, he felt insulated. He is Alexander Cho. In case this girl doesn’t know. Which she probably doesn’t know since she’s young. She is in her twenties? Most definitely in her early twenties.

“I have to get back home. If I do not bring back the Exelero in time, my father would kill me.”

I see,” he nodded. He wasn’t surprised that she still had a curfew. “Have you tried racing on the circuit yet? My friends and I will be at the Kagen Circuit this weekend. Just tell them my name and you will get access.”

She smirked inwardly when she heard Kagen Circuit. She doesn’t need to drop his name to enter that place. She remembered when she was in Shanghai two years ago, she used to hang out there a lot of times that the Old Geezer already knew her face and name. He is the only one she needs to get access to that place.

Alexander Cho doesn’t need to know that. She doesn’t need his name to be allowed entry in that place. Kagen Circuit - it has been quite a while. She suddenly felt like going there. But not with this guy sitting in the passenger seat of her car.

“I will think about it because I have school over the weekend.” She wasn’t avoiding Alexander. He was okay and doesn’t feel so creepy. It just happened that she does have school this weekend. She was already enrolled in the same university Nina - Mr. Wan’s wife went to.

Between her training in the WIZ club and attending college, her schedule is hectic. She doesn’t mind all that much because she is determined to finish the program she is working on and complete the required units for her course. She had almost completed her studies and couldn’t be happier.

The only place she doesn’t want to go on her own accord is school, especially if she has a lot of other choices. Her mother would make everything difficult for her if she didn’t earn a diploma. She already had enough on her plate, she couldn't handle any more headaches from her mother.

She didn’t need to study that much for good grades so finishing college wasn’t really a challenge. She just had to show up sometimes and do the bare minimum to complete the requirements. A good brain is very helpful most of the time. She grinned.

Would you mind telling me where you go to school?”

No. She cocked her brows in his direction and grinned, “Get out of my car, Mr. Cho. Quit stalling me. I’m not interested in car racing.”

He laughed, “Sorry. You got my card call me when you change your mind.”

“Bye Mr. Cho!”

“Alex, you can call me Alex.”

She just grinned at him, shaking her head. The moment he got out of the car, she stepped on the accelerator and left.

The drive home took her less than twenty minutes. No one was in the garage when she returned the car.

She took the long way back to her room to avoid Madame Bae. As soon as she entered her bedroom, she stripped on her way to the bathroom to take a shower.

Then she put on a comfortable pair of lounge pants and a hoodie, climbed into her bed, and opened her laptop. Grand was already waiting for her online. They have been playing a one on one battle to understand each other's gaming style.

While playing, the thought crossed her mind that if DT was her team Captain, this game could have been considerably more fun.

“Speaking of the devil,” she muttered under her breath when she saw a request for a video call at the corner of her laptop from him. She put on her microphone and asked Grand, “Hey, DT is calling me, can I put us on the conference call?”

“Is it really necessary for me to suffer here as your third wheel?” he teased her. When she didn’t reply, he sighed, “Okay, okay. You can do it.”

“Thanks!” she said before accepting DT’s video call.

“Where did you go?” was the first thing he asked when Ellise’s answered the call. He was furious that she didn’t reply to any of his messages.

“Hey, DT! Good evening to you too, my bro!”

He was taken aback when he heard Grand voice. That was the time he realized that they were in a three-way conference call. His anger just doubles, but since they have an audience he controlled himself. Probably the reason why Ellise did it. She knew he'd be angry.

“You guys are playing?” he asked after clearing his throat.

“Yup, yup! Why don’t you join us? Miss E was being mean and has been whopping my ass!”

Grand’s over-the-top enthusiasm could sometimes be useful at times, she silently thanks him. Had he not agreed to accompany her on the call, she would never have taken DT’s call for she wouldn’t know what to do or say to him after what happened.

“Are you joining us?”

“Sure, let me set up my laptop.”

On the conference call, Grand turned off DT’s headphones, “Hey, you two are alright? You’re not going to throw me under the bus, are you? I don’t want to get punched like Mantis, you know.”

“Let’s just play,” she said, avoiding the question.
