Capture That Feeling

With the never-ending holiday party at home, no one will miss her if she takes the same flight with that tall boy, right? All she has to do is get on the plane, never mind that the plane will bring her from Oslo to China! ------ "Would you like to come into my room, join me with some drinks and hear what I want?" she drunkenly said it at that time. "Don't worry, I don't mean any harm," she said assuring the man before she dropped herself to the couch. "Are you traveling alone? Don't you have any adult companion with you?" he carefully asked as he stood in front of Ellise. "Hey, mister, you must have difficulty understanding, I already said, I'm alone, right?" she answered back. "You're clearly too young to be drinking alone in a hotel room, in a country where you don't know anybody and on top of that you invited a stranger in your room," he said with concern. "Why, you're also too young to be having an affair with a married woman, meet her in a hotel away from the city in the middle of the night. How old are you, anyway?" she sarcastically answered back, avoiding the issue of inviting a stranger. "I'm twenty, and I'm not having an affair with a married woman," he answered with a straight face. "If you're not having an affair why the two of you clearly look like you're hiding," she said, not planning to lost an answer and question interrogation. "Listen, little girl. You better stop drinking because you're already drunk with all of these expensive wines," he said in annoyance. "You see, I have a credit card that has no limit, paying for all of my expenses here. I've been here in Shanghai since the first week of January, and today is my birthday. It's almost two months already, but nobody has come or asked my family if I'm okay." she said in a broken voice. ------- Bookcover by: Sendaline_16

Interview With Miss E

“Miss E, you were with the WIZ when they had a game in South Korea, but during that time you sat as a substitute player and not given the opportunity to play a game. Today is your first actual game, can you tell our audience, how do you feel and what can we expect from you?”

She is being interviewed for a pre-game show where they interview some players of the team that will play that day. She couldn't believe Mr. Wan when he told her that she must come here for an interview. In previous games, it was always DT or Grand who did these interviews.

These kinds of things were something she didn't like and Mr. Wan knew about it. And yet, she is here sitting through this one-on-one interview. Another thing that she didn’t expect. In the previous games where players from the WIZ attended pre-game interviews, it was always with a group.

But today she is doing a one on one interview, with none other than Asya! The woman DT is dating.

She was clasping her hands tightly in her lap, for the audience watching her, it may be seen as being nervous but in truth, she was gripping her hands in annoyance. She was trying to hide how she has her nails buried in the soft skin of the inside of her palm, to keep her focus on this interview.

She didn’t meet Asya’s eyes, instead, she stared at the camera that was zooming in on her face. “Excited to finally be able to play. I wanted the community to see my game so they could shut their trap in saying I don’t belong here.”

She saw Asya from her peripheral vision flinched with the way she answered her questions. If Mr. Wan wanted her to be cute in this damn interview, he should have sent DT or Grand. Seven or One were also a good choice, those two clowns were good at making themselves the laughing stock.

“Well, you can’t blame them. They never expected you. And I would say, everybody, was surprised that the WIZ has a woman now in their team. They wanted to know what you got for Mr. Wan to break his rule of not having a female player in his club.”

“Fair enough. But not a valid reason to say shit about someone who they had no idea about.”

The producer of the show turned a shade lighter, signaling the cameraman and the floor manager in panic. It was then that Ellise realized that the interview wasn’t pre-taped but a live one. She grinned inwardly thinking if she screwed up this interview it would serve Mr. Wan right.

The floor manager who was monitoring the interview and the live stream gestured to Asya to continue the interview.

“Is it safe to say Miss E that you are going to show your best in this game?”

When she realized that the game was live and they have no way to edit and cut this interview, she had the notion that in order not to do this kind of thing in the future, she had to ruin this interview.

She glanced at the camera that was focused on her face, and smirked, “It’s not even a preliminary, who would get their panties up in a bunch for this game?” she said, taunting.

She crossed her legs and gave the cameraman a good angle of her side profile.

Asya cleared her throat and looked down at her cue card. She was acting like she was reading the next question for her, but in reality, she was waiting for the cue on what else they could ask her.

She smiled cheerfully at her, but the glint of annoyance from the corner of her eyes didn’t escape her. She was professional and knew where the camera and how to play it to her advantage.

“Miss E, we have questions from our audience, would you mind answering some of them for us?”

“Sure,” she shrugged. Disinterest was evident in her body language and tone of voice.

“Your gamer name, Miss E. How did you come up with it?”

“My name is Ellise.”

“How long have you been playing CTF?”

“Eighteen months.”

She saw the surprise in Asya’s eyes and the gasp from the room.

“What did you do to get accepted to the WIZ?”

“Nothing.”

“Uhm, Miss E, our audience isn’t just fans but a lot of them are interested to play pro, hence, they were asking this question.”

She smirked seeing the irritation at the corner of Asya’s eyes. She never thought she could have tons of fun in this stupid interview. “I answered the question. I did nothing of the sort. Mr. Wan asked me to join his club.”

Asya lost her composure and it seemed the live audience of the stream too. The floor manager kept on signaling to Asya to continue the answer and questions.

She couldn’t blame them when she just dropped a bomb -- that not only was she the first and only female member of the WIZ club but also that she didn’t apply but personally recruited by the owner of the current number one CTF Club in the country.

“You have only been playing for eighteen months and Mr. Wan personally recruited you for his team, is this correct?”

“Yes.”

“Where were playing before Mr. Wan recruited you for the WIZ?”

“Nowhere.”

The studio just went abuzz.

“Can you expound your answer for our audience?”

She asked with a smile for the camera but, with how rigid she was, it is safe to assume that she hates her. She smirked inwardly. ‘The feeling is mutual.’

“Mr. Wan asked me to play the game and train me in my free time.”

“Your family name is Sy, and it was listed on your personal gamer data that both of your parents were Asian however, a lot of people wonder that you don’t look very Asian.”

“My mother is half-German.”

“Do you have any siblings?”

“If I want people to know I would put the info in my personal gamer data.”

Asya stared at her with her true feelings about her mirrored in her eyes. She scoffed.

“The WIZ has two teams, DT and Grand’s team. Do you have to choose which team you want to play?”

“No,” she wanted to give her another one-syllable answer but she saw the show producer about to get a heart attack. “They already decided beforehand that I would be playing with Grand’s team,” a smile curled at the corner of her lips but her eyes were showing boredom.
