chapter thirteen

Cara.

Four months had passed since she was ruthlessly rejected, well not really ruthlessly, but Jennie's eyes held no emotion when she said the words. "I'm sorry Cara. But I don't like you." The look on her face still hunts Cara till date.

After that incident, they'd went from saying hi to each other to totally ignoring each other.

It hurt but Cara told herself it was for the best, and Jennie never reached out to her after that meaning she really meant it when she said she didn't feel the same way towards her. One way or the other Cara had to get over her.

She sees Queen waving at her from a distance and she silently walks over and takes the seat next to her.

"Thanks." She mouths and Queen nods.

She was late for the lecture, if Queen hadn't saved a spot for her there would've been nowhere for her to sit, well nowhere apart from the back and that was where all the lousy people and noise makers gathered. If Cara sat there she wouldn't be able to learn a thing.

Queen was a girl she recently met, it happened on a Monday afternoon after class, while avoiding bumping into anyone, she'd missed a step and fell flat on her face. Queen had helped her up with a smile on her face and they became friends ever since.

Queen was a sweet girl, too bad she had a girlfriend.

Daphne, Queen's girlfriend who is also in the same major as them pops her head from the side and smiles at her, she is seated next to Queen. Cara smiles back at her.

A beautiful relationship they have there, she has no intentions of breaking them up.

She brings out her note from her bag and looks ahead, taking in every word the lecturer who is a young woman in probably her early forties is saying.

"She's hot." Cara thinks to herself as the woman paces around the board hands on her waist. She is putting on a black skirt with a slit by the side and her exposed leg is just so beautiful.

Cara imagines having her pinned against the board and-

She feels something hit the back of her head snapping her from her thoughts. A paper rolls to the side and Cara doesn't bother to pick it up.

She turns around to look at the culprit and her breath gets stuck in her throat the minute her eyes land on them.

Sitting there is Jennie in a black leather jacket and black skirt. Her legs are spread open and Cara catches a glimpse of her underwear, she gulps hard.

"Sorry but can you pass that to the girl in front?" She hears Jennie say and she snaps back to reality.

Slowly it registers in her brain.

The paper was not meant for her, she just happened to be seating here. What was she even doing here? Probably here to chase some girl. The voice in her head says and damn that stings.

She picks up the paper and slowly passes it to the girl in front as she is told.

The girl in front is a red head and the minute she turns to look at her Cara admits she's beautiful.

She can see why Jennie would come all the way from her faculty here, just to see her.

Throughout the class she has to endure throwing of papers from Jennie to the girl in front. Sometimes they land on her table and she has no choice but to pass it to the girl.

She has no idea why she is doing this, but she just does it without complaining.

The lecturer exits the class and Cara heaves a sigh of relief, that was torturing.

She shoves her book in her bag and prepares to leave but stops when she see's someone sit on the table in front of her.

She looks up and sees Jennie with a stupid smirk on her face.

"It's been a while baby girl."
