Chapter Six

Jennie.

She feels a buzz in her pocket and she brings out her phone to her face.

New message from Caramel: I'll do it.

The message reads.

She smiles and tosses the phone on her bed, that didn't even take like long. She'd expected her to the whole day before she finally gave in but it was just morning and here she was.

Her phone rings and she picks it up from the bed where she tossed it earlier. She looks at the caller ID, no idea who the fuck that is. She hits accept and brings it to her ear.

"Hello." A female voice stays from the other side.

"Yeah?"

"It's the girl from the other day, the one from the bathroom."

Jennie wracks her head to figure out which one she could probably be but she can't come to a conclusion, she's been to the bathroom with a lot of girls this week.

"Uhh which one."

The line goes quiet for a second.

"Blondie, party, English class, red crop top." She says.

"I think I know who's speaking now."

"You said to call you whenever I needed you, are you free now?"

Jennie smiles, she was more than free. And she happened to be the only one at home.

"Yeah. I'll text you my house address."

"Okay."

And the line goes dead.

She proceeds to text her her house address as promised.

Cara stares at her phone screen, nothing.

Maybe she hadn't gotten the text? She tries to reason. But it showed she had read it. Man it took everything in her to send that text and this was how she was going to end up? Ignored.

She would accept her fate except she really couldn't, scenes of yesterday kept replying in her head and she seemed unable to keep her hands to herself.

But no matter what she did, it didn't feel as good as when Jennie touched her.

Deciding she was sick and tired of this, she throws on a hoodie, her phone in her hand and marches out of the room.

"Where are you going?" Vanessa's voice stops her, she is sitting down on the couch with her roommate May watching TV.

May doesn't pay her any attention while Vanessa continues to access her.

When she doesn't say anything Vanessa proceeds to say, "oh you look mad."

"Because I am mad." She was going to give Jennie a piece of her mind. How dare she take her to a cliff and leave her hanging?

She storms out of the house and heads for the Baker's.

She'd never been there alone, each time she went there it was either with her sister, or May who was dating Jennie's brother June. But here she was marching there alone. She hoped the blondie was around.

"Cara!" She hears a voice call.

She turns around and see's June, Jennie's brother in his car.

She walks over and bends to the window.

"Are you headed for my house?" He asks and she nods.

"Get in." He says which she does.

"Going to see Jennie?" He asks and she nods.

"You don't look too good." He says starting the car engine.

Few minutes later they're there. June exits the car and she does the same and trails behind him.

He punches in a few numbers and the door opens.

They both go in, June turns on the light.

"What the hell!?" They hear someone shout.

Looking back at them is a blondie who is half naked, it's not Jennie, Jennie is positioned on top her, her clothes still intact.

June doesn't seem fazed by the scene before him, he'd walked into this a lot. He turns to look at Cara who is fuming in anger.

So this is why she didn't reply her text.
