Chapter Seven
Cara
"Cara!" She hears Jennie call from behind but she doesn't bother to turn around, that hoe. What was she expecting?
Jennie catches up with her and grabs her arm forcing her to look at her.
"What is your problem?" She snaps.
"No I should be asking you that, what is your problem?" Jennie asks her tone a bit harsh.
Cara cannot believe this, she feels herself close to tears but she holds it back.
"I come here to find out why you ignored my text and I see you on top of a girl instead." She says her voice almost breaking.
Jennie lets go of her hand and folds her arms.
"So, are you mad I ignored your text, or mad because you saw me on top of a girl?"
Cara cannot seem to answer that question.
Which one exactly made her mad? Was it her ignored text or the fact that she just witnessed her hoe side?
They weren't even a thing, she had no right to get mad.
"I'm going to get going." She turns around to leave and Jennie doesn't stop her as she watches her walk away, she also was dying to know. Which one exactly made her mad?
Cara crashes on her bed and burys her face in her palm. Stupid stupid stupid. She wished the ground could open up and swallow her, why did she even go there in the first place? What was she expecting?
And why did she get mad when she saw Jennie on top of that girl? And when Jennie ran after her, why did she stupidly think she was going to come up with an explanation and plead with her to not be angry. She made too many assumptions on her own, now she ended up looking stupid.
Her phone buzzes and she raises her head up to stare at the screen.
It's a message from Jennie.
She immediately sits up and taps on it eager to know what it says.
"I'm sorry I ignored your text, I was uhh busy. You said yes to my offer so my place tomorrow by 12. I don't know if you have a class by then lmk if you do. If you don't lmk if you can make it."
Cara sighs in disappointment, again what was she expecting?
She lets Jennie know she's free and tosses her phone on her bed burying her face in her palms again.
