The breakup

The girl stopped at a ice cream shop and bought a cone, she then sat down by the waterfall and ate her ice cream "you should not be angry with them, they were just worried" Martin said,

"Whatever" she replied as he sat near her and he grabbed the cone form her hand then took a bite.

He passed it back to her "thanks" he said,

She collected it "you are not welcome for i never gave you the permission to take it" she replied,

Ha laughed "relax" he said.

He then placed his head on her lap and she sighed,

"What are you doing?" she asked,

He looked her in the eyes and she smiled "there it is" he said,

"What?" she asked,

"Your smile" he responded,

She looked away with a pink face "don't do that" she said,

"Relax, i know my limits" he replied as he raised up,

He looked at her "break up with Jake" he said,

She coughed "what?" she asked,

"You heard me" he said,

Why would i do that?" she asked,

"Because you do not love him" he said,

"Why would you think that?" she asked,

"Because it is true" he responded,

"Maybe, i do not want to hurt his feeling" she said,

"It will hurt him more if something happens" he replied,

"What will you do if he truly falls in love with you?" he asked,

"Hmm tell him the truth even if it hurts" she responded,

"I suggest you tell him now Charlotte" he said,

"I will" she replied,

"Would you come with me to visit my home?' he asked,

"Sure" she responded smiling,

"You have to ask my parents their opinion" she said,

"I will, it's not like you ever listen to them" he replied,

She smiled and got up "i am going to the library, there is something i want to look at, you coming?" she asked,

"Sure" he replied as he got up and went with her to the library.

"What you want me to look at?" he asked,

She then passed him a book that contains a picture of the spiral "what do you know about that?" she asked.

He looked at the spiral then his eyes widened and glowed.

"Why do you want to know about it?" he asked,

"Research" she responded,

"Hmm well this spiral has been missing for ages, the person who finds it might obtain all of its powers whether dark or light, it is the most powerful object known to man and creatures" he said,

"Oh so what if it gets into say your father hands?" she asked,

"That would be bad but if it chooses someone before that then only that person can wheel its powers" he responded,

"Oh oaky so do you think it still exists?" she asked,

He smiled "yes, i am a dragon so yeah i do" he said,

She smiled "okay thank you, i have something to take care of i will see you later" she replied as she rushed off.

"Okay, i am going to go stretch my wings a little then" he said to himself as he walked out of the library.

The girl went to her room and took out the spiral.

It lit up in her hands and the fairy appeared, "hello" the fairy said,

"Hi there" the girl replied,

"I take it you know why this spiral is here?" the fairy asked,

"Yes i do" she responded,

"And are you ready to take the responsibility if becoming the protector?" she asked,

"Yes i am, if this is the only way to protect my family and everyone that i care about" she said,

"I must say you have got guts, well you have to tell Jake how you really feel" she replied,

"I know and i am going to do that now" she said as she put the spiral back "see ya" she said as she rushed off.

The girl went to the arena and met Jake "hey" she said,

"Hi, why are you in such a rush?" he asked with a smile,

The girl wanted to tell him but she did not want to hurt him at the same time, he noticed how hesitant she was "Charlotte, sit down" he said,

She sat down "uh.. i wanted to talk to you about our relationship Jake" she said,

He the leaned in and kissed her, Martin saw and sighed, he then raised up "are you breaking up with me?" he asked,

Her heart started thumping fast "do you think you will be happy knowing that i...." she said,

"Knowing that you do not love me" he replied,

"Yes.." she said,

He smiled "it's okay, i have known for quite a while now" he replied,

She looked at him with a frown, he placed his hand on her face "Charlotte, it is alright, you do not have to worry about me bur i guess it is a good thing that i did not fall in love or else i would have got a heart break" he said,

She smiled "still i am sorry" she replied,

He hugged her "i know, now i have to get back to training" he said,

"Okay i will see you later" she replied as she got up then left.

The girl went back to her room and the fairy appeared "you did the right thing" she said,

'Yeah i know" she replied as she took out the spiral and it glowed a little.

"Seem like it has sensed it's owner" the fairy said,

"What do i have to do now?" she asked,

The fairy smiled "once you and the spiral connect then i will disappear for i am just an illusion trying to help it find it's true owner" she said,

"Oh okay so am i the one?" she asked,

"Of course, if it was not you then it won't have glowed" she said,

The princess smiled nervously "okay, uh.. who will teach me to control these powers?" she asked,

"You have to find the king of dragons, he will be able to help you and if you do not find him then you will have to try on your own" she responded.
