Chapter 16: Breakfast

It was a Sunday and Aunt Alicia left early to go to church. I was left at home and started doing my ritual. I also prepared breakfast so that when Auntie arrived we would just eat.

It was about eight o'clock when Auntie arrived with Jill, her smile was wide as if something was being planned but I wouldn't be happy. I quickly waved and scolded Jill. My aunt also invited her to join us for breakfast,

"How are you, Jiha?" aunt gently asked Jill while eating.

Jill answered it enthusiastically without hesitation. Their story continued until the topic reached Peter, I don't know how he suddenly joined the conversation.

"Leave that one alone, auntie! There's no need to talk about it here. I'll eat later, I'll be fine!" I replied because it's true. Why talk to someone who isn't here?

"I'm just asking Daniela, darling. I just want to meet your boyfriend" she claimed,

"Peter is not my boyfriend, aunt!" when I refused, I was barely able to shout
