Resolution for the future.

"Alaric, Alaric honey please wake up."

"Huh? Mom? Just 5 more minutes." I tried to roll over but was stopped. I tried to keep rolling over with more and more strength put into it until finally after trying my body gave up. I opened my eyes and looked around confused for a second but was reminded of the past couple of days.

"Mom? Please tell me this was all just a bad dream." I said as I turned my head towards the direction the voice came from.

"Hi Alaric." A woman with fire red hair down to her shoulders and a casual business suit was sitting down in the chair next to my bed.

"You're not my mom? Who are you? Where's my mom." I was starting to panic a little.

"Calm down, I have some bad news and horrible news. Team 1 picked me to come break the news since I have the power to calm people."

"Huh? Team 1? Power?" Then it clicked, all the confusing things she was saying started to be pieced together along with a certain other person who said alot of confusing things.

"Man.... Your with those other 2 guys aren't you? The ones who put those weird goggles on me that made me feel like I almost died."

She smiled a little awkwardly. "Uhum, well yes, I'm sorry that you had to go through that. There are procedures that need to be done as quickly as possible. We had no idea that your body was still not healed up to the point of handling the registration process."

As she was talking I was slowly moving my hand towards the nurse call button. I pressed it a few times in the hopes that someone, anyone would come in and atleast be somewhat normal.

"That's not going to help you I'm afraid. You see in order for the plans to move forward I had to make sure there were no witnesses and since I frown on killing I just put them all to sleep. Yea it wore me out but in the end it was necessary."

What little hope I had of a rescue of any kind dwindled and puffed out. Now a slight fear had taken its place and my heart started to beat faster and faster. I started getting a cold sweat as the thought that this person was just like that beast that almost killed me.

She waved her hand and almost instantly a wave of peace washed over me. I felt calm and the scary thoughts and images were being pushed away.

"There, that's better, I was afraid you were going to have a stroke there for a second. But now onto the news. Which would you like, Either way your not going to be happy."

I stared at her for what felt like minutes trying to process what was happening.

"Um, I guess the bad news?"

"Your coming with me and living this place behind."

"What? Wh-wh-what do you mean I'm coming with you? I have my friend to check up on and my parents must be worried sick about where I am."

"A~nd here's the horrible news..... Both of your parents were killed.... We thought that Team 1 had driven the Rogue away but when we left the scene we left a personel to look after your parents but in the morning we found out that both your parents and the personel we left had been killed. It looks like the Rogue came back in the hopes of finishing you off. Also.... Your friend? I believe his name was Johnny? He passed away from the same wounds as you yesterday. Normally when bitten by a Shifter type Unseen, the human would start to go through the changing process as a Halfturned. But there are cases where the humans are just to weak either from the attack itself or from the mental and physical change."

She finished talking and just sat there as the news slowly settled in. The fact that my friend died was nothing compared to the realization that the beast had come back and instead of finding me, had found thme instead. Tears were starting to fall down my face as the pictures of my mom and dad were playing in my head. The many memories of the time I had with them were now being engraved into my head and soul.

"I'll go with you. But I want to help killing this thing." I said with tears still rolling from my eyes but now I quickly resolved myself and used the anger slowly building in me as fuel to focus on one thing.... Getting revenge.

"No can do, Your not strong enough to fight against anything let alone a Rogue Werewolf type Shifter. This thing played with you, do you realize that? If it wanted to kill you it would have without you evening waking up."

"Then what can I do to get stronger." I needed to get stronger if I could because I have decided. I engraved the smiling faces of my parents and my best friend onto my heart and I will only be free when this thing gets killed by my own hands.

She smiled when I asked that as if she knew. "Then you need to join the Unseen Guard. It is a large organization who protect the Unseen from outside forces.... among other things."

I didn't know how I felt about that last part but if it could get me to the point I could kill that thing then it was the choice for me.

"Let's go then." Trying to get up in my resolution was quickly stopped by the wrapps that still had me mummified. In my anger and thoughts I had forgotten about the straps that were holding me from moving around to much.

"We will, we will, but first you need to complete the healing process. Now you can stay here in the human world to heal with their medicine or I can have you transported to the Unseen hospital. But if you do that then you are cementing the fact that you are joining us."

"Done, let's go."

"Fair enough." She then pulled out a phone and tapped a few buttons before holding it up to her ear.

"Yea, it's Christine..... Yea, he agreed send over the transport team." She hung up and smiled back at me.

"I'm leaving now, the team should be here within the hour. I suggest you rest up as much as you can because once they arrive things will get a little..... chaotic for you."

As she was leaving I closed my eyes and started thinking over the things that have happened. I played back the happy moments in my life with my parents. My Best friend johnny who was by my side through everything. Then finally the night of the attack, I played through the fear that I felt and felt disgusted by how weak I was. A part of me was saying how I couldn't possibly to fight against that thing but the hatred for this thing was just all I could feel.

"Knock, knock, are you Alaric Dyrrun?"

I opened my eyes and saw 2 women standing next to my bed with what looked like another bed but this one was built for transporting patience, it even had straps.

"Um? Yea, I'm Alaric."

"Great, now if you can just verify what you are?"

"Um? Human?"

"No, No. I mean what you are now."

"I don't know what your asking. I'm human, I was attacked..." Then the image of the screen that was displayed on the goggles clicked in my head.

"Halfturned, Shifter Subclass: Werewolf."

"Great, now let's get you on the bed and off we go."

The 2 women looked small in stature but after they unwrapped me and started to lift me off the bed.... It was like they were breathing, it was effortless, like I weighed nothing.

"This is one of the many things between Humans, and Unseen. We are stronger, faster and overall better than Humans. But in exchange we do have drawbacks, But you'll learn that when you enter the academy." The one who asked my classification explained, I could see the benefits already. But at the same time If this was what 2 smaller sized women can do then I can only imagine how much that Rogue Shifter had held back when biting me.

"Ok, so we are going to strap you in now, It will be a bumpy ride so please try to endure it. There will be 2 nurses on the otherside to take care of you once you pass over."

She then took out what looked like a key and stuck it into the air. It dissappeared as if it actually entered something and soon a ripple could be seen as a doorway like thing could be seen emerging out of thin air.

They then pushed me through the door and immediately it was like those movies that showed the 4th dimension. It was going by so fast that I was getting sick. The bed was shaking violently and my head was pounding from the nauseau aswell as the pain of my wounds getting jostled around.

Finally after a few minutes everything stopped as 2 women grabbed my bed and started checking my body and vitals to make sure I was ok. They flashed the light in my eyes and everything a normal nurse would do.... Except near the end one of them pulled out a pair of familiar goggles.

"This is to make sure you are who you say you are. We can't have some random Human pass over into our world.... Well unless they want to be eaten Hehe." The nurse then smiled but it was a way wider smile than what I've ever seen and her teeth were shown to be razor sharp. Think the cheshire cat but razorsharp and rows upon rows.

"Darla quit being a bitch, don't scare the newbie." The other nurse said as she slapped the creepy ones shoulder.

"My name is Jessica, We are in charge of making sure you heal up properly. I hear you agreed to join the Unseen Guard? That's awesome we always need more when it comes to those damn tears."

Tears? like the ones I saw in those memories from the last time I had the goggles on? Were they a common thing in this world? I was getting more questions than answers and it was starting to frustrate me.

They kept talking as they rolled me into a room filled with machinery. I expected weird looking shit but surprisingly it was the same as what the human world had.

"surprising right? Don't worry, the machines in here run off of cores. It's a bit more magical than the stuff the Humans use. You'll be fighting fit in a few hours."

They hooked me up to a machine that was almost identical to a vitals machine. It showed my blood pressure my heartbeat, all the normal things.

"We are going to inject you with Primal Shifter Blood. It will hasten the turning but at the same time it will boost your healing speed."

"Sounds good let's do it." I said as I prepared for whatever may come.

They looked up at eachother with a bit of worry in their eyes but soon they went ahead and injected what looked like a dark red substance straight into my veins.

As soon as it entered my veins it was burning, it was like someone injected straight napalm and I could feel it travel through my veins until it eventually reached my heart.

BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

The monitoring machine rang out as my heart stopped.

"Did... Did he just die? But I thought he was classified as a Shifter? What the hell?" Darla asked as she looked confused She went and made sure she grabbed the right vial and even showed it to jessica.

Beep....Beep.....Beep

"Wow look... his hearts beating again."

"I told you he was a Shifter."

"Yea,yea just shut up."

I rose up and gasped loudly trying to catch my breath. "AGHHHHH What was that?"

I yelled out the question but soon was being pushed down and strapped back onto the bed as a weird sensation was pulsing through my body. At first it was a slight tickle all over my skin like pins and needles but that soon turned into a ripping pain as if my skin itself was being ripped apart.

I started to scream but was soon muzzled by the nurses. I looked up at them in confusion but could only see seriousness in their eyes.

"Jessica this has never happened before. He's turning right here, right now. Everybody knows what happens when a Werewolf Shifter goes through their first turning."

"Better Yet, How is he turning. The full moon isn't for another 3 weeks? This shouldn't be happening! Go call security now!?"
