[Now Creating Player Card]

I was standing there stunned while watching as screens popped up in my face that looked straight out of a game.

I then felt a hand on my shoulder that brought me to reality.

"Just concentrate on looking through the screens and they will go away. You can always focus and bring them back, and even move them around like a HUD." Barton said as he made sure I was ok.

"HAHAHA, Newbie got his Player cherry popped, Hurray for the Newbie!" Bryan and the others shouted and hurrayed but were quickly stopped by Barton.

"You idiots, remember where we are and our fucking jobs. Get into position and set up a perimeter now! Alaric, you can see your Player Card later, right now I need you to focus on scanning the nearby area for hostiles. Anything you sense give me a holler got it?"

I nodded and quickly shook my head before focusing on the surroundings. Past the view that I first saw from the otherside was a field covered in random patches of dug up soil with huge mounds next to the holes. I saw as nearby trees had holes that burrowed deep inside. Some of these trees were so thick that even if the whole team stood end to end we couldn't even reach all the way to the other side. It was like a small bedroom apartment just for some of those trees.

"Barton, I see what look like dug up holes to our left and right, and in the nearby trees looks like something burrowed into em."

"Good job Ric, but when on mission you call me Leader or Alpha, got it? It's just more professional that way in case we have to cooperate with other teams in the future."

"Got it Alpha, When do the other teams come through?" I asked but quickly looked in one direction to a certain tree that I swore I saw something dart behind.

"The other teams come through with a 5 minute delay in between to ensure the others have time to get away from the entrance and also in case of danger they wont get needlessly sacrificed."

I could understand that as I nodded and kept a look out. Bryan and the others came back after a few minutes to report.

"Nothing but holes in the ground and holes in trees Alpha. I did spot something running through the bushes but it was to quick to get a good eye on."

I spoke up since I swore I saw rabbits when the Tear first opened.

"Weren't there rabbits around here? The image I saw when the Tear opened showed rabbits running through the plains. I didn't see the holes in the ground or trees but I did see what looked very much like rabbits?"

The team was deathly silent at this then they all looked at Barton all at once to the point that it was robotic and creepy.

He looked around quickly before sighing. "Shit, so that's why it was classified as D level even though it spawned so close to base.... Alright, everyone time to head back out. This Tear is a no go right now as we do not have the proper equipment. Load up and head back."

Everyone nodded and quickly started loading up and packing the temporary base they just finished making. I was confused and had to ask.

"Barton, I mean Alpha? Why are we leaving? It's just rabbits right? They can't be that harmful can they?"

"You don't understand, The machine analyzes the power of the monsters inside the Tear... Individually, it's not advanced enough to analyze the Tear as a whole. So rabbits or any kind of fast reproducing creature has become the bane of many a guild. So many people have died because they could not handle the horde that appears from these things."

"Ohhh, so since rabbits naturally reproduce like.. well rabbits, that means that inside the Tear they reproduce faster?"

"And become super charged by the power the Tear generates. Imagine a rabbit, but with the power of a full grown bull. It's terryifing to say the least but right now they are hiding sense they are wary of us. Aslong as we hurry and leave we can escape without risking our lives."

He stopped talking and quickly started helping with packing up. After a few minutes of hurrying we eventually left the Tear and appeared in front of the others.

The Elder came forward with worry in his eyes.

"Barton, what's wrong my boy? Why are you guys back so soon?"

"It's rabbits Elder. Alaric saw rabbits when the Tear opened and he got a glimpse of the world inside."

"WHAT!" He looked at me with wide eyes. "You're telling me you can see the world through the Tear?"

"Yea? Is that not normal to be able to do?"

"Hell no it's not! Nobody has been able to see the world through a Tear before entering. This is the first time I have ever heard about that. We go in blind with a first team to scout the area while setting up a defensive paremeter around the entrance to the Tear, then the other teams come through then we clear it. We have never been able to properly prepare before going in. HOLY SHIT! This means so much to us. You have the power to help prevent losses my boy, This is great!"

The Elder starts speed walking to the house and slams open the door before yelling. "ALEXANDER, YOUR NEWBIE CAN SEE INSIDE THE FUCKING TEARS BEFORE GOING INTO THEM, THIS IS CRAZY SO GET YOUR OLD ASS UP AND GET READY TO ENTER. IT'S FUCKING RABBIT SEASON!"

I could hear loud banging and hurried footsteps as both Alexander and the Elder come racing towards us. Alexander is now fully outfitted with heavy plate looking armor and is carrying around a two-handed greatsword strapped to his back, on his belt I saw what looked like red and purple potion bottles, and on each side of his chest were 2 holsters that contained what look like giant caliber revolvers.

"Let's do this little ones. The horde Tears are always the best and most fun." Alexander seemed too excited as he grinned ear to ear with a wild anticipation that was mimicked by the Elder.

"We go in and set up wide multi target traps, then we set up a box zone for easy funneling, then we FUCKING ANNIHILATE THEM! LET'S GOOOOO" The Elder roared the last part and I saw as his body partially started to turn. I saw Brown fur covering halfway up his arms and his fingers spurting blood as claws erupted from them. His face elongated and razor sharp teeth appeared as he smiled. His eyes glowed a golden crimson as he looked with a hunger towards the Tear.

Alexander next to him started to get a wild look in his eyes as he too slightly changed but his transformation was mostly an increase in height and his body grew thicker as new muscles emerged. His hands grew claws but none of the hair or other body parts transformed.

They both entered the Tear without a care in the world as the rest of us looked at eachother in confusion. I was questioning just how strong that fucking potion he took was, while the others were questioning the sanity of their leaders.

With a shrug of defeat we all entered and started following our orders. We set up wide row shaped ditches filled with sharp spikes, and in front of those we built a funneling area while building a fortified wall around us at the same time to help keep the horde at a manageble level.

Barton spoke up with a hint of uncertainty as he looked at the two crazed looking Shifters who stood at the start of the Funnel with weapons drawn and looking around with drool coming fromt their mouths.

"Everyone get ready, I want guns with napalm ammo stationed on the walls and ready to fire. Bryan get on the wall and the first rabbit you see take the shot. I don't think dad or Uncle Harmon are going to wait any longer. Alaric get up top with Shannah and Price and pick up a gun. It doesn't matter what you get aslong as you load up the ammo and blast some rabbits got it."

I climb up onto the wall and grab a automatic rifle, it's the first time I ever held something like this but I figured with everyone calling it a horde Tear. I figured it would be best to just spray and pray than aim and shoot.

"EVERYONE READY! FIRE WHEN READY!" And like an sonic boom the first rabbit that Bryan spots is turned into a fine mist while bright flames erupt and burn all around that spot. We hear loud screeches and the soon the ground rumbles and the nearby trees start to shake. Soon out of every hole whether in a tree or from the ground, erupts numerous rabbits of all colors. Brown, White, Black, mixes of all sorts just come emerging out of the holes like a horror movie as they all come storming towards us.

It only takes a second for everyone to shake off the initial shock and start firing at the incoming horde or rabbits. Oh, did I mention that these weren't normal rabbits? Yea, these guys were the sizes of large dogs at the smallest. Those holes that I though were just normal rabbit sizes were actually much further away and way, way bigger than first glance. The smallest ones were coming from the trees and the huge ones were gushing from the holes in the ground. I was afraid at any second the ground was going to give way and we were going to fall into a pit.

Thankfully the multiple gun fire mixed with napalm ammo was enough to keep the beasts at bay, but soon everyone started running low and the fires were being put out faster than the bullets could make more, the rabbits either stamped out the flames with no regard to their health or they trampled the weaker ones over top of them to keep rushing at us, it was crazy to watch.

RUUUUUURRRRRAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH

Two loud roars echo throughout the whole Tear as the Elder and Alexander rush head long into the horde, they looked like wild beasts as they tore apart the rabbits without a care about getting injured in the process, the Elder would sling various liquids that would melt everything it touched with one hand while in the other he would slash and cleave with his claws. Alexander would swing his weapon like it was as light as a feather and still pull out one of his guns to shoot. They made it look so easy as they tore a path through the oncoming horde. I couldn't believe it even as I watched it happen.

"Good old dad, glad to see him back in the fight. I could never reach that level of badassery no matter how hard I train." Bryan said from nearby as he watched with envy at the carnage.

"Hey, I'm in the same boat, we just never had to survive the kind of shit he did. He evolved through trial by fire, anybody Human or otherwise, would be forced to lose a piece to the wild within after going through something like that." Barton said in response.

"Am I going to end up like that?" I could only ask with excitement. If I had that power, I could get the answers I desperately need.
