43. Short on time

Ethan pressed his eyes close in frustration.

He'd spent most of his afternoon studying the map religiously, and he was no closer to understanding it than he was when he started.

It must have been some crazy architect who designed this place.

Most of the pages were now decorated with red circles and notes. The area to be covered would be huge, and he suspected the useful bits were the ones left uncharted, rather than the other way around.

And only five weeks to do that.

"I need coffee," Ethan murmured, rubbing his temple

"Ya need luck too."

The young Alpha nearly jumped, and behind him, in the open window of one of the many lounges around their wing's floor, was a raven with intense yellow eyes.

It transformed into the hunched figure of the gold witch in the blink of an eye. She gave him a cruel, cruel smile.
