34. Love doesn't change anything

Angelina was glad they at least got a separate bedroom each.

Their wing was warm despite the harsh cold outside by the courtesy of the Frost Witch keeping it out of the way. Angelina was almost regretful for that. Winter, for her, had always been the best season. When nights were long and deep, days too shrouded with a quiet that helped her relax.

She left her room after unpacking, purposely leaving her shoes behind. Tingles scuttled down her spine as she stepped on the bare floor. Unbidden, she smiled.

Ahead, a gust of cold wind caught her off guard.

In an open window, Freya was sitting cross legged on the window sill, long pale hair braided loosely down her back. 

Silver eyes turned her way as she approached. Angelina could swear her footsteps had been silent.

She had no clue what to say. Only after an exchange of names, they'd all parted ways to unpack and freshen up.
