Burning Passion : Breaking All Rules

When love blossoms unexpectedly between a teacher and student, it is utterly passionate but also dangerous. Spying eyes linger even inside the most deserted hallways, waiting hungrily for a drop of fiery gossip. Gossip which can spell ruin for James’s famed career and for Lia’s chances at her dream university. Heartbreak follows more heartbreak when the two are separated for years through a spider web of misunderstandings and lies, only to be reunited again when fatefully James is Lia’s boss at work. The burning passion which was hidden away for years sparked again, and this time neither of them wanted to hold it in.

Chapter 62 - Party!

The whole mansion bustles with activity as Mae spans the house checking the arrangements.

"Mae, when is the DJ arriving?" asks Rue looking at a checklist.

Mae freezes in her tracks. "Crap! I totally forgot about that!"

"WHAT?" screams Rue. Mae shushes her and drags her to the side.

"Please don't freak out. Dad will KILL me."

"What's bothering you, girls?" Chris approaches them heroically.

"Mae forgot to call a DJ."

"Good job, Mae, because it would be an insult having some random person taking care of the music when the DJ God is here!"

"Chris, this is not the time to joke," warns Rue.

"Hey, I'm not joking! I'm really good at DJing! Have you forgotten our college times? I was even awarded as the DJ King!"

"I think Chris can manage it," says Mae.

"See? Mae knows me and trusts me very well." He puts an arm around Mae.

Mae removes his hand from her shoulder. "Something is better than nothing. Now get going!"

"You're so cold, Mae. When will you ever warm up to me?"
