Chapter Three

I was greeted by the sounds of birds chirping and sun peeping through the window when I woke up, the maids were already in the room tidying it up. I looked at the other side of the bed hoping to find Sebastian but then I remembered him talking about spending the night with his mistress.

"Seems like he didn't lie about that" I mouthed with a bitter smile.

I got out of the bed and the maid helped me bathe and get dressed. I felt like wearing something light today so I wore a cream colored silk gown that had v neck cutting ending on my cleavage with flower designs on it and some hairpins on my hair. The dress is a very light dress that helps you move around freely.

"His highness requests that you join him for breakfast" the maids told me and I just scoffed inwardly as I walked with them towards the garden.

When we got to the garden, Sebastian was already sitted and the dining table, with his hands crossed on top his chest.

"Your highness" I greeted and sat down for the meal. The meal looked ravishing and mouthwatering, I am really hungry so hope I would be able to eat without embarrassing myself.

"Excuse us" he told the maids after they dished the food.

"How was your night, did you sleep well" he asked me and placed a slice of meat in his mouth.

"Why wouldn't I your highness" I answered with a smile. Did he really think I'd be sulking over him staying with his mistress for the night. Well he should keep on dreaming because that's never going to happen

"And how about you your highness, Did you get a good night sleep with your mistress" I asked and emphasized more on the last two words with a sarcastic smile.

" I sure did my lady" he replied. I rolled my eyes at him and scoffed and that made him chuckle. I looked at him as he chuckled and couldn't help but admire the beauty of my husband, he looked really good when he smiles and chuckles.

"You look good when you smile and chuckle, do it more often" I told him, realizing that I just spilt my thoughts, I gasped and put my hand on my mouth.

"I certainly would her highness"he answered with a smile and chuckled when he saw how I reacted to my own words.

"Whatever" I replied sarcastically. I felt really comfortable around him, his presence gives me warmth and I like it. I recalled that we didn't consummate our marriage yesterday so I decided to ask him again. I know he had talked about how his mistresses would handle that but I just wanted to voice my opinion because one day, he would definitely need a heir and that is when I come in.

"Sebastian"

"Yes"

"About the wedding consummation....I'm not ready yet" I said waiting for his response.

" I told you take your time, we already talked about this. I have mistresses who can pleasure me." he said with a serious face.

"I know that I just wanted to be sure that you meant what you said yesterday" I replied and continued eating.

He leaned forward, our nose almost touching and said" I mean every word so take your time, I won't rush you". I wasn't even listening to whatever he had to say, I was just admiring the beauty of the creature before me. Our faces are so close,just a few more inches and we'll be kissing. The thought of that sparked something inside of me.

He kept leaning in and I closed my eyes waiting for the upcoming kiss but I got none. When I opened my eyes, I saw him staring at me with a smirk on his face, that annoying but captivating smirk of his. His smirk could annoy me but also make me feel strange things inside.

"You look very pretty today" he said with a smile leaving me in shock. I thought he was going to kiss me, was he teasing me. As he sat back on his chair, he said "Did you dress up specially for me wife".

I almost choked on my food because of his last sentence. When he called me wife, I felt. flustered.Why would I even dress up specially for him.He kept on laughing. This was the first time I had taken a proper look at him when he was laughing and gosh, he was breathtakingly mesmerizing. If only he knew what he was doing to me just by smiling and laughing.

Our little moment was interrupted by one of his guards.

"His highness, her highness" he greeted and bowed. He didn't even need to say anything for Sebastian to know that he was needed.

"Wife, I'm sorry you have to finish your meal alone today, I will make it up to you, I have to go now, I'll see you later tonight" he said as he took my hand and placed a light kiss that electrified my whole body on it. I was blushing so I lowered my head a little and just nodded. They both left while I ate alone.

*In Sebastian's office*

*Your highness, I did a background check on your wife just like you asked me to and I have some vital information.

"Go on".

"Princess Emilia, daughter of late King Lucian, mother's name-Alicia, 21 years old , was sent to battle warfronts thrice by her uncle and came back undefeated, good with swords, learned and mastered self defense at the age of 10, only child".

"Is that all" Sebastian asked with a frown.

"For now, yes". the guard answered.

"So no information about who she is" Sebastian asked emphasizing on the word 'she'.

"Not yet sir, for now we know she is not an ordinary princess but no other information except from that".

"Alright,you can leave"Sebastian said and waited for the guard to leave his sight before resting his back on the chair with his eyes closed and a big frown on his head.

I had already finished my meal, so I took a nap. When I woke up it was already evening, almost sunset and I was bored so I decided to read a book. It is probably past 10 right now and I am already sleepy. Sebastian said he would come around but he's not yet back and I am tired of waiting but I am trying to keep myself awake with the novel. I do not know when, all I know is that I drifted to sleep after waiting for a long time.

Sebastian came into the room and saw his wife sleeping peacefully with a book on her chest. He walked closer and removed it, curious to see what she was reading, he turned the book to the front of the novel for the title.

"Leadership" he smiled and mouthed to himself as he closed the book and placed it on the night dresser. He climbed on the bed and stared at his beautiful wife."You're so pretty Emilia ,you always surprise me with how bold you are".He said with a chuckle remembering their little chat in the garden.

He removed the strands of hair on her face carefully, afraid to wake her up. The information he got about her today was shocking and interesting. He knew she was not an ordinary princess but he didn't expect that much and he knew there was more to her than that, she wasn't ordinary and he knew that. What she was, he didn't know.

Stroking her face with his hand and a look of amusement on his face, he mouthed"Who are you Emilia".
