Chapter 2: Mission Complete, Powering Up

"I just wanted to help you heal. I had no ill intentions, but your wound is in a sensitive spot, so..."

Chen Mo was sure this was one of the author's mischievous twists, placing the injury in such a spot to create intimacy.

"It's a healing talisman. It will help heal your injuries," Chen Mo explained.

"Healing talisman?" After struggling in vain, Yun Yun gave up and studied the green talisman.

Palm-sized and entirely green, it had a line of black characters Yun Yun didn't recognize.

Suspicious of this unfamiliar talisman, she asked, "How does it work?"

With a soft yet icy tone, she reminded Chen Mo to keep his distance.

"Place the talisman on the wound and recite the incantation."

"What does it say?"

"You can't read it?" Chen Mo was surprised. The characters on the talisman weren't from Earth, and he had assumed they were from the novel's world. But apparently not.

Why can I read them then?

"Of course," Yun Yun replied, a bit exasperated. If she could read it, she wouldn't have asked.

Sighing, she conjured some bottles and jars beside her with a thought, saying softly, "You'll have to apply the medicine for me."

(This small modification allows the use of her storage ring but only for healing items.)

"She doesn't trust me, huh? Well, there's no such thing as a healing talisman in the novel. But this works too." Pushing aside these thoughts, Chen Mo slowly approached, putting away the talisman and examining the bottles.

"Which one is it? I have no clue!" Chen Mo thought, eyes wide. "No matter, she brought them out herself, so they should be fine."

Calming himself, Chen Mo's hand moved toward Yun Yun's chest, his heart pounding. This was his first time touching such a beautiful woman, and it was impossible not to react.

Tearing open her white robe, he saw a light blue metallic inner armor beneath.

"This must be the Sea Heart Armor." Pushing aside his wayward thoughts, Chen Mo skipped asking questions. As he began to remove the armor, a cold stare from Yun Yun made him break out in a cold sweat.

"Uh, the wound is..." He stammered. Despite being a novice Dou Huang expert, her gaze was still intimidating even when injured.

Before he could finish, Yun Yun said, "Keep your hands and eyes in check, or else you know the consequences."

Yun Yun's body trembled slightly, her pale cheeks tinged with a noticeable blush.

Clearly, she wasn't feeling any better than Chen Mo.

"Of course, I'm a gentleman," Chen Mo forced a smile, though he thought, I'll have you completely one day.

Yun Yun glanced at his earnest, handsome face and surprisingly believed him. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and said, "Please, go ahead."

Given the wound's location, it was impossible to avoid contact. After a round of treatment, both were sweating profusely.

"Phew, it's done." Chen Mo sighed in relief.

Just as he helped Yun Yun cover herself with her robe, a system notification rang out.

"Let me help you up!" Quickly draping the robe over her, Chen Mo half-supported her.

"Don't touch me," Yun Yun protested, but she lacked the strength to resist, helplessly complying.

Holding her slender waist, Chen Mo's thoughts weren't impure. Instead, he focused on the divine technique he had just obtained.

Isn't this the main character's technique from Saint King?
