Chapter 3

When Erika went back up right she realized a boy was the one who caught her. He had this soft hazel eyes that looked like you could get lost in it. His hair was this medium shade of brown that was swayed to the side. He was wearing a button up shirt that was blue and these pants that were loose on him probably because he was super slim like a toothpick.

"Thank you.", Erika said softly looking right into his eyes.

"Your welcome. I'm Caleb, Caleb Scott." he said while letting her go making sure she was balanced enough to stand.

"I'm Erika." She started staring at Emma like saying what do I do.

"Hi, I'm Emma. Would you like to sit with us for dinner?", she said winking at Erika.

"Uhhh... yeah, sure." he said nervously looking at all 4 of them. "Only if it's okay with you guys." He continued, staring at Erika and the rest.

"Yeah it's fine.", they responded looking at Erika.

The 5 of them walked into the cafeteria and sat down at a table full of Year 1 kids.

When they sat down, all you could hear was other people talking around them until someone finally spoke.

"Are y'all sisters?" Caleb asked nervously looking at the food in front of them.

"Oh... yeah we are actually twin sisters." Emma said while eating some pizza that had some peppers on it.

"Ohh, so y'all can like read minds and stuff like that?"he said sarcastic, thinking it can't be true.

"Actually we can. Erika can read minds so we can communicate by minds too."

Caleb looked more nervous then he already was cause he knew whatever he was thinking about Erika, she could hear it even if he doesn't say it out loud.

Casey, Julie, Emma, Erika, and Caleb were all talking and eating until a deep, loud voice spoke.

"Great to see you, students." The principal was speaking. "I already know some of you but for the new kids I have yet to get to know them. Welcome new students to Brooke High."

Everyone clapped for them.

"Now, we do have rules but I will tell y'all later. But please enjoy y'all dinner."

Everyone cheered and started eating.

"So Caleb... what is your power?" Casey asked looking at Erika.

"Umm.."

"You don't have to tell us if you don't want to." Erika said because she could see he looked nervous.

"No, I can tell y'all.... I'm a werewolf."

Everyone looked up and dropped their food besides Erika. Caleb still looked nervous. There was a long silence and all you could hear was the other kids eating and talking. The silence was finally broke by Erika.

"Well, I think that's cool that your a werewolf." said Erika looking at everyone to stop looking freaked out.

"Yeah. It's pretty cool being a werewolf. You can protect us if we ever get in trouble." said Julie looking at Erika.

Caleb was just silent after those words came out of Julie's mouth. He thought he couldn't possibly protect them clause he was a scaredy-cat and didn't know how to fight.

Emma's mind:

"Erika read his mind and see what he is thinking."

Erika's mind:

"What! No, he probably doesn't want me to read his mind."

Emma's mind:

"Just do it and tell me what his is thinking."

Erika's mind:

"Okay fine!"

Emma read Caleb's mind even though she didn't really want to. She focused on Caleb until she heard his thoughts.

"I would protect Erika and Emma any day if I knew how to fight but idk who the other girls are. But they do seem like Erika's friends so any friend of hers is a friend of mine."

Erika started to stare at Caleb after the first sentence in his mind. She realized it probably is creepy staring at someone else without saying anything.

Erika stopped focusing on Caleb because she thought it was getting creepy and plus Emma poked her is the rip with her elbow so Erika could tell her what he was thinking.

"Oh Caleb. This is Julie. And that is Casey. There are Emma and my roommates and friends."

"Oh, hey Julie. Hey Casey." Caleb waved to them across the table. "What are y'all power?"

"Yeah you never told us.", said Emma looking very interested in there powers.

"Oh well, I have telekinesis." Julie smiled.

"And I can control the time." said Casey who didn't look like it was impressive at all.

"So you can go back in time?!" Erika said with excitement in her eyes. "Whenever you want!"

"I mean yeah I can but it's tiring and it takes lots of energy."

"Cool!", they all said looking at her like she was Ariana Granda or something.

They all talked and ate there food. They got to know each other better and now were all friends.

*** sometime during dinner ***

"So, do any of y'all have any siblings?" ask Erika.

"I don't have any. I'm an only child." Casey answered.

"I have 3." said Julie.

"I have one." Caleb said.

"How old is your sibling, Caleb?" asked Emma.

"Oh he is 15"

Casey, Julie, and Emma looked at each other wondering if he goes to there school.

"Emma, what is your power?", Julie asked when she realized they never asked.

"Oh, I can control all the elements."

"Like fire, water, earth, and wind?!" asked Casey excitedly.

"Yeah, those are the 4 elements, are they not." said Emma laughing.

"Cool!" said Julie being impressed.

**** a little while later after the principal talked about the rules ****

"It's late, we should head back to our dorm. It was nice meeting you, Caleb." said Erika while smiling at him. She wished she could talk more but it was getting pretty late and she wanted to be fully changed for class tomorrow.

"Uhhh... yeah nice meeting you too, Erika.", Caleb said while looking at the ground with his hand on his neck. There was silence until he realized what he said. Well more like what he didn't say. "Oh... and of course y'all too. It was nice meeting y'all too."

The girls were snickering and laughing. Erika shot them a look to tell them to stop and they stopped.

"Yeah, nice meeting you too, Caleb." said Casey.

All the girls head back to their dorm. They talked for what seemed like hours about how excited they were to be at Brooke High. But, Erika couldn't stop thinking about Caleb. She thought he seemed so sweet and kind to her, other than any other boy who would talk to her.

Emma's mind:

"Hey Erika, you alright? You seem... I don't know quite."

Erika's mind:

"That's because I'm trying to sleep."

Emma's mind:

"Oh okay. Sorry. Goodnight sis."

Erika's mind:

"Goodnight. I love you."

Emma's mind:

"I love you too."

And all four of the girls went slowly asleep. Erika being the last one.

*** next morning ***

"Wake up, sleepy head!" said Emma on top of Erika's bed climbing on her.

"Uggg.... what time is it?" said Erika trying to open her eyes but the curtains were open so the sun was shining right into her eyes. Her voice was also super quite and groggy.

"Time for you to get up. Come on, we need to eat breakfast and by the time we get down there nothing will be left."

"Where is Casey and Julie?" asked Erika while looking around realizing there no where in the room.

"Oh, they already left. I think there in the common room waiting for us."

"Okay. Fine. Just let me get dressed and do my makeup and hair."

"Okay, but hurry up. I'm hungry!"

*** 30 minutes later ***

Erika walked out of the bathroom to see Emma laying down on her bed, playing on her phone.

"Okay I'm done."

"Finally!!" said Emma jumping up while grabbing her backpack.

They went to the common room to see if Casey and Julie were there. But when they arrived no one was there.

"There probably in the cafeteria." said Erika as she was looking around the common room.

"Yeah, because you took so long."said Emma sounding annoyed.

"Whatever come on." said Erika rolling her eyes.

They walked down the stairs to the cafeteria, where they saw Casey and Julie sitting by Caleb and this other boy who looked older then any of them.

"Hey guys!" said Erika while waving at them and sat down next to Julie and Emma.

"Hey, where have y'all been?" said Julie while eating a piece of toast with egg on it.

"Oh well, Erika here, decided to sleep in." said Emma, while pointing at her. Erika smiled nervously while looking at the ground.She knew she probably should have set an alarm.

"It's fine.", said Casey. "We just started eating a few minutes ago." Erika started to feel a little better about being late.

Erika's mind:

"Do you know who the other kid is by Caleb?"

Emma's mind:

"Now you mentioned it, no."

"If I may ask, who are you?" asked Erika trying to sound as politically as possible. The older boy looked at her for a second and said "Oh, I'm Justin. Caleb's older brother."

That explains why they do look some what alike. Justin was a pretty buff guy. His eyes were this yellowish, gold color. His hair was light then Caleb's and was curly on the ends while Caleb's was straight.

"I wanted to sit with Caleb today cause I know how it feels going here on the first day, so I thought I could help him make friend. But it seems he has already made some." explained Justin while looking at everyone then at me.

"Are you also a werewolf?" asked Emma.

"Yeah, but my wolf is bigger and faster then Caleb's.", Justin said while grabbing Caleb's head and rubbing the top of it with his knuckles.

"Okay! Okay! Can you please stop?" said Caleb while embarrassed.

Justin stopped and then continued eating his food. They were are talking and getting to know each other more when the bell rang for 1st period.

"Where do y'all go to first?" asked Casey as she makes her way out of the cafeteria with them looking at her schedule.

"I go to history, Mr. Sky.", said Emma.

"I go to science, Mrs.Bell." said Erika.

"I got English with Mrs.Hill." said Casey.

"Me too!!", said Julie jumping up and down with Casey.

"Caleb, what do you have?", asked Emma.

"Oh, I have math with Mr. Ragan." said Caleb with a frown on his face.

"Well we we hopefully have some classes together.", said Emma to all 4 of them. "Anyway I will see y'all at lunch."

"Bye, sis." Erika yelled across the hallway because she already left and you couldn't hear anything over other student's voice.

Erika and Caleb walked together to class because they were both upstairs on the 3rd floor. They were talking while walking up the 2nd flight of stairs when all of a sudden, someone hit her in the shoulder causing her to almost loose her balance. Her books fell out of her bag and onto the floor.

"Hey, watch where your going!" said Raven while running down the stairs.

"Sorry. I didn't mean to run into you." said Erika sounding sorry and hurt.

"Are you okay?", asked Caleb worried about her and wondered who on earth would want to hurt Erika cause he thought she was one of the sweetest people he has ever met.

"I'm fine.", said Erika while she was picking up her books off the floor. "I just don't know why she always has to be mean to us."

"Me neither. Here let me help you.", said Caleb while picking up some of her books.

"Thank, anyway we should head to class."

They walked to there class. Erika's was closer to the stairs then Caleb's. They said bye to each other and Erika walked into her class. Caleb went down the hallway and walked into his class soon after.
