"But for real, when are you going to throw one of those your wild parties again?" She asked Gabriel as they walked into his apartment. Class was over for the day and she decided to stay at his. Gabriel tossed his face cap on the table and shrugged.

"I don't know. I don't have the strength" he said

"You've got red wine right?" She asks and he nods. She strolled to the kitchen and opened the fridge to grab a snack but it was empty.

"Gabriel!" She called out as she checked the cupboards for anything edible.

"Bro, why the hell is your kitchen so dry?"

"Right, I'm supposed to do some shopping" Gabriel replied.

"Ugh!" She groaned. She looked around the kitchen and decided she'd be a good friend and stock up the kitchen and maybe cook. She walked out of the kitchen to meet Gabriel with a blunt in his hand. "Get up!" She said and he did. "W-what?" He gave her a confused look.

"We are going shopping. Grab your keys!"

"Do you want Rice Crispies or this" Gabriel pointed at a Milo ball cereal while the pack of Rice Crispies sat in his right hand. "I don't know, it's your house" she shrugged.

"Yes but you're going to be there a lot" he argued . "True" she nodded in agreement.

"Gabriel!" They both turned their eyes to where the call came from.

Behind Gabriel, was Sandra. Sandra seemed happy see to him which confused her. "Hey, I'm coming" before she could protest, he had already left. She huffed and continued with the shopping by herself. She spent another twenty minutes picking out snacks, spices and other things that the kitchen needed.

After paying, Gabriel was still missing. She had the supermarket staff carry the bags and just as they walked to the car, Sandra was getting out of it. In the back seat, sat Gabriel who sported a satisfied smile. The bags were loaded into the boot and she got into the car. Gabriel had already moved to the front seat and was holding the steering wheel with a smile.

"You are so fucking disgusting!" She spat at him. He smiled at her and started the car. "You're so dramatic" he said to her. She didn't reply. She pulled out her phone and ignored him for the rest of the car ride back.

"C'mon, you can't possibly be mad at me. I was just having fun" Gabriel held the door open for her to walk in. "I'll make some chicken fried rice, can you please help me cut the veggies?" She walked past him, into the kitchen.

"I'll put the things away" he said to her.

"Whatever" she replied. Gabriel dropped the bag he was holding and went over to her side. "Hey" he took her hand in his. "I'm sorry, I didn't think you'd be upset"

"That's the thing, you don't think. We went out together and you left me for your play thing. You left me who was shopping for YOU to go and fuck! That's mad disrespectful bro"

"I'm sorry" Gabriel said quietly.

"It's fine. I'm not really mad at you anymore. Just don't do that ever again"

"Never! Them no born me well" he said in pidgin English.

After putting away the things they bought at the store, cooking began.

"Give me salt" she told Gabriel, who swiftly placed the salt jar in her hands.

"Spoon" she said and Gabriel provided the cooking spoon.

She stirred the pot and then smiled down at the food with satisfaction.

"In five minutes, it'll be ready" she turned to Gabriel who was texting. He nodded absentmindedly.

"Start washing the things we used to cook" she said and Gabriel's head shot up. "Why me?" He frowned.

"Hmmm, let's see" she tapped on her jaw like she was thinking and Gabriel rolled his eyes.

"I did the cooking, plus you still have to redeem yourself for being disrespectful"

"Gosh! I hate you!" Gabriel cried.

"Ha! I love you too" she smiled
