The world's views, women's views, on casual or serious relationships and marriage were skewed—in men's favor.

Especially for brave men who frequently took part in survival shows with their lives on the line. The select few men who had competed in the Hunger Games were free to seek multiple partners.

They were even praised for it.

Even though the chances of children being called were extremely low, the survival genes were sought after.

Each year, Harem privileges would be granted to 12 such men out of the world's 7 billion people.

That is, assuming they all survived the slaughter... The global Hunger Games edition allowed only four candidates to survive: two men and two women.

The show's Panem-based edition had its own set of mutable rules.

Only Ryu and Ken were successful in leaving with that legal right, which Ken was now abusing by doing stupid things...

Ryu guessed what Ken did to women every day and night because he saw how he was still single... The man was just fucking around, not constructing a harem. As a result, he quickly became "infamous." But not any less desirable...

The world was not fair, and things, relationships, and even dating reality shows frequently worked differently, finding workarounds for such men as long as they continued to bring good views.

Or, more precisely, as long as these men were willing to make the effort to bring the audience... Diversions, subtle breaking of rules, and secrets were required because peaceful harem, or simply Harem itself, wasn't always entertaining to watch.

It was also not enjoyable or fair to the other contestants.

Ryu was aware of this important and cool side, these perks of life in this insane world for Hunger Games survivors, but he was still unwilling to pursue women he had no interest in, such as the woman who had previously made a pass at him.

He did not like artificial breasts. Most of the time. They had to be done correctly. Not botched.

And his entire attention was on the lovely Kim Jiwon in front of him.

When she wasn't on-screen, she didn't appear to be the insecure, more latent type she pretended to be.

She came over quickly to say hello and began the conversation without waiting to be introduced. "Nice to meet you. My name is Jiwon, and I've been a longtime fan of yours, Ryu… Wait, may I address you as Ryu?"

She paid no attention to the girl next to Ryu. She also spoke perfect English and did not appear overly Aegyo.

But Ryu loved Aegyo.

"Yeah, I don't use my family name very often anyway." Ryu replied cheerfully as he stood to assist her in finding a seat. "Aside from Ken, not many people know or remember it anymore, I think."

Hoshi was his surname. His name was Ryu Hoshi, but even his last relative, his grandfather, did not use it.

Names and such were unimportant where he came from. It was a small village, possibly even a family, depending on how strict people were about blood ties and reproduction.

He was forced to register with his full name in the games, but the dumbass, inconsiderate host eventually referred to him as Ryu, just Ryu, the wave motion fist demon.

People all over the world learned about the existence of KI, which was previously only a myth from Asia, thanks to him and Ken.

After the training modules, every fool and specialist on the Hunger Games panel was talking about starting to learn Japanese martial arts, mistakenly believing they were all equal.

Karate soared and flourished.

Ryu was a celebrity during the games, but he didn't try to find out what his celebrity would be like outside the games; instead, as soon as the games ended, he returned to his recluse island to avoid Katniss' fate of being called again.

It hadn't happened in this world yet, but Ryu wasn't about to risk it without a transmigration cheat…

Thankfully, it arrived a few days ago.

"I actually remember your surname. As I previously stated, I am a fan of yours and have been since day one." Jiwon smiled and touched her hair, allowing her pretty face to be seen.

"I didn't realize I was this famous? I'm also a fan of yours," Ryu was surprised to hear.

"What? You're so hugely famous! How don't you know this, Mr Hoshi! But wait, you're a fine of mine too?" Jiwon exclaimed then blinked fast, asking, stunned. "How didn't I know this earlier?"

"Because I live on a remote island that cannot be considered a part of the modern world?" Ryu laughed as he suggested. "I had TV and computers, though, I watched all of your dramas there."

The girl with the cocktail felt she was no longer needed at this point in the conversation, so she left on her own.

Ryu was not sorry. There were plenty of other guys outside the VIP room, as well as some new ones inside if she was interested in television staff…

She most likely wasn't and was more interested in famous men who worked in front of cameras.

She didn't take long to prove Ryu correct.
