The situation outside wasn't getting any better, as the gate had been pushed to the point where it had bend, it would not require much for the gate to finally snap and fall to the ground permitting the horde to enter the school, at that moment, everyone would have to fight for their dear lifes.

Brian observed the situation from the window on the second level of the building as a group of four people came up the stairs, one was Rebecca, the others, were the school delegate, one of the teachers and finally the person Brian came looking for, Edward. The four people came up the stairs.

"Brian!, How did you enter?, Are you alright" asked Edward out of concern and fright, in his own opinion, the situation was getting out of control, night was very soon going to fall on the school as the gate was at the edge of destruction and the horde kept adding over and over.

"Am alright, I came through the window located at the back" said Brian.

"That's not possible, the are atleast few zombie's behind, how did you pass?" Asked the delegate out of suprise.

"Sorry we can leave you go down, I am not really certain you could pass those few without being scratched" said the teacher, which made Brian slightly frown before he ignored their questions and asked directly Edward of the situation, what he received as explanation of the situation wasn't encouraging.

"Pack your things, we are leaving Edward" said Brian.

"Where too?, I can't leave, there are people here to look after" said Edward, Brian held his collar and spoke straightforwardly.

"Shut it, your family needs you, you can't leave them for perfect strangers" said Brian.

"What the hell are you saying, I know about all this, I called home, but.... But nobody picked up!, If the situation is out of control as the say, I can only pray for their safety" said Edward as he removed Brian's hand.

"Tss" Brian felled dejected on the actual situation as he took out his phone to pass a call, it was already 8:30 as everywhere was getting dark, and from here on, the danger level would increase.

"Duuuuduuu.....duuuuuduuuuu" the phone kept quiet before it was picked up, "Brian, don't come back, have you heard, don't come back!"

"Mom?!, Why is dad's phone... where's dad, is everything alright?, Mom?!" Shouted Brian, as the others stared at him.

"Listen, the came earlier as expected, your father was against abandoning you, but the neutralised him, don't worry, he is only unconscious, but the house has been taken over by the monsters" said Brian's mom, calming Brian's anxiety.

"I see, where are you heading to?, Let me see a way to meet up to you guys" asked Brian.

"That is....." Brian's mom did not know how to explain as the phone was taken over by someone else, "This is sergeant Steve Roger" said the person on the line.

"Is that captain America?" Brian thought.

"I am not captain America, if you think so" this took Brian off-gaurds rendering him speechless on wether he could mind read.

"Nor do I have psychic powers for mind reading, joining your family would not be possible right now, for we are actually on an helicopter heading to the nearest base located at the sea a hundred kilometres from the coast, and we can't come back for you, but there's a chance for you to be rescued, before the territory would be sterilised, we need you rescue professor Jericho, she is actually trapped in the laboratory hospital found at Central town, if you succeed in the process, we would dispatch a rescue team to pick up both of you at once" said sergeant Steve Roger.

"Hmm, that explains why the house was taken over, the attracted all the horde with the noise the created, plus, it look as if the are hidding something, what did the mean by sterilise?" Brian reflected on all this hidden mystery as he responded to the man.

"I don't think I am qualified for this job, I don't have the..." Before he could give his reasons, he was interrupted.

"You can, if you've received the experimental virus leveling, so your body would be apte in fighting those creatures, have realised any changes in your body, if so, you've entered the priminary stage, development of actual body functions, strength, speed, dexterity, vision, and so on, stage 2 would come when you...duuuduuuduuu"

"Hell fuck!, The have cut the line, ....no network?" Brian stared at his network bar, as all were empty, he went down the steps and ignored the gazes of the teachers and students, as he matched pass the crowd of people, he spotted Edward on the wall as he looked exhausted.

"Do you network?" Asked Brian.

"Forget, network is dead, we can neither call are families or rescues, are situation is getting worst, it would have been better for you not to come" said Edward as his expression turn gloomy, Brian could only look at his network bar and wondered the meaning of his words of being powered up by a virus?.. but

Bang!!

"Huh?!" Everybody exclaimed out of shock, as the all looked out, only to see a fallen gate and a crowd of zombie marching towards the school.

Boom!

"Run!, Don't remain there, it's dangerous!" The school gaured could only scream as he tried saving himself, where did the come from, people screamed as the ran for their life, the horde of zombies were coming, as their bodies were bleeding from their constant scratching, one of them dragged the death body of a small kid, it looked like the person was once the mother.

In the eye of the storm, Brian and his classmates had locked themselves in the school as the constructed a barrage so as to stop the wave, but it looked more as if it was only going to slow them down, as the wave collided with barrage, and everybody knew, the would not last long.
