Chapter 1: Her Struggled Life

There was a young rich girl named Lila. She lived in a duplex house with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson. She was 6 years old, her hair is blonde, and she used to wear her hair in twin tails. She was cute, sweet, and a beautiful little girl.

Her mom approached to her room, and asked her if she was ready for her 2nd grade. Lila replied to her mom that she was always ready, and ready to learn. (She excelled on her entrance exam for 1st grade. Then the teachers gave her another test for the 2nd grade and she still passed.)

The mom smiled gently as she putted her to bed, and said goodnight. Her mom supported her in anything she could. Her dad listened to the girls while he was outside the door of Lila's room. He was worried about his daughter, however he trusted her.

The next day, Mr. Anderson sent her to school. Everything went smoothly as Lila entered its shelter. She met her fellow classmates, and they were nice to her at first. As time went by, Lila's grades were the highest among her classmates. After the first 2 quarters, the classmates bullied Lila. It was just as her father feared.

After a month, he caught her crying in her bedroom. He approached to her, and asked what had happened.

Lila squeaked, "My friends bullies me dad. I don't know what I did wrong."

Her dad seemed furious, but he tried to calm himself down as he spoke, "Why would they do that?"

"I'm not sure dad."

"How long did that happened?"

She wiped her tears as she said, "Since I got my 1st report card."

"But, you already gave me your report card for Quarter 3." Mr. Anderson began to raise his voice.

Lila shivered as she stuttered, "I- I'm s- sorry."

"Why the hell wouldn't you tell me at first!?"

Lila cried more as she saw her dad's intimidating expression. She said, "I'm sorry dad."

Mr. Anderson then stood up from her bed, he walked out from her bedroom and slammed the door.

He talked to his wife about it later on, and she was shocked. Mrs. Anderson spoke in fury, "Then we had to call the principal about it. This can't go on!"

"It won't work much hon. My mom used to call the principal dozens of times when I was younger. I still got bullied. Although, to be fair, they managed to expel that jock boy who got my ex- pregnant back in high school.", he spoke in an unamusing way.

"I understand, but we got to do something. Besides, she isn't living in our world. She lived in a new generation with new people.", Mrs. Anderson sounded concerned.

"But still, she is suffering from those kids. Who knows what will happened as she grew older."

"Yes, but we could cheer her up at least. We could at least spend time together as a family so she won't have to be so miserable.", Mrs. Anderson tried to smile as she spoke.

"What about her discipline? After all, she can't grow dependent from other people. If she had less luck on finding friends, then she would suffer more. It would be better for her to study, and to mind herself. Plus, she would take my place in the future as the head of my company."

"Hem hem, sir. Your daughter isn't an employee."

"Well, aren't you my employee?"

She gasped as her eyes were filled with tears. "Yes, but I'm also your wife. Lucas, think about your child's emotions here."

"Emotions?", he spoke absurdly in a deeper tone, "Why won't you talk to her then."

He stood up to the door from their bed. Then Mrs. Anderson asked furiously, "Why, don't you want to take this seriously? To make her life and future better?"

He sulkily answered, "I'm not really the right guy who talks about emotions."

Then she spoke calmly, "But, you opened your heart up for me. Can't you do the same thing for our little Lila?"

He glared towards his wife as if he felt bad. "I wasn't fully aware about what I did Mary." After he spoke, he closed the door gently as he exited the bedroom.

. . .

After a year, she was at 3rd grade. She doesn't seem excited to go however. She stood the front gates and walked towards to her classroom with her classmates. (If you think they would say hi to Lila, then no.) They would bully her by saying, "hey the nerd is back", "do my homework or I'll eat your lunch", and more.

After the school day, Mr. Anderson came out from his car to pick Lila up. However he saw her all alone reading as she looked quite sorrow. At home, Mrs. Anderson was happy to see her little child. She asked, "Hello sweetheart, how was school?"

Lila spoke as she faked her smile, "It's fine mom, thanks for asking. I'm going to my room."

After she went to her bedroom, she heard an intriguing voice from her father. She suspected that there was another argument between her parents.

Later at night, Mr. Anderson approached to her room. He asked in a deep voice, "Have you been bullied again? Be honest!"

Lila sighed, then she said, "Yes father."

"Remember what we talked about?", asked Mr. Anderson.

"Don't mind anybody besides yourself.", Lila replied calmly.

"Yes, just focus on your studies and your own life. If people aren't being friendly, then don't friend them at all. Do not trust anyone but your own parents. Since you're young, you need to learn to live independently in your future. Focus on yourself, no friends, and no boys. " He explained his point of view to his daughter in a stern tone.

He hoped that she would follow his strict advice. "Do you understand starlight?"

Lila answered as her head faced towards the ground, "Yes dad, I'm sorry."

"Remember what we talked about, and goodnight.", her dad said as he left Lila's room.

A year passed by, the bullying didn't stop for her. She felt lonely, and depressed. She wanted help, but she had no courage to speak up, not even from her parents.

During summer 1986, her school year nearly starts. Lila's mom asked her to go to the grocery store and buy the items from the list that her father gave. She walked on the streets in a remorseful way. She was about to cross the street, but was she aware that the car drove ahead of her?

It's like it was about to hit her-

But then, someone pulled her away from the street. It was a little boy, who have a blonde hair like Lila's, his hair was slightly messy, and he wore a black cloth face mask with his orange stripped shirt and dark pants. He coughed as he fell on the floor when Lila landed on him. She was shocked, "Omg I'm so sorry, are you okay?"

She helped the little boy to get up as his feet stepped on the ground. The boy replied softly as he held both of Lila's hands, "Yes I'm okay, but are you okay? You have to be careful when crossing the street miss."

"I know.. T- thank you for saving me.", Lila stuttered as she lets go of the boy's hands.

"You're welcome, but are you sure you're okay?", the boy asked as he glanced at her in a troubled expression.

"I got to go, I'm going to get in trouble with my dad", she ran as she crossed the empty street.

"Wait!"

"DONT FOLLOW ME!"

The boy was worried, then he saw her dropped the bracelet on the other side of the pedestrian lane. He ran across the street, then he nearly got hit by car as he backed away from it. Luckily he was okay, although he tripped down as he ran on the sidewalk. That gave him a slight scratch around his elbows.

He picked up the bracelet, and he noticed the carved letters on those 4 bigger purple beads. He realized those letters was a name, and it is as pretty as the girl he saw, who wore cute twin tails and a jumper dress. However, she seemed depressed and lonely.

He decided to walk home first, yet he nearly forgot that he had groceries to take care of.
