~Bounty~

I lean against an oak tree and stare up into the canopy of leaves and branches watching the sun filter through.

" I've been robbed of what little food I had," I laugh with a blank face still looking up at the canopy. " I still need to keep moving though, the more distance the better," I said forcing myself away from the tree. I have no idea which way to go besides the way I came so against my better judgment I went the say way as the girl did. It was sunset before I came across a village. It was a small village filled with lanterns being lit as the darkness slowly devoured it. Since I had no money I couldn't go to an inn for food and a bed. I was walking slowly through the main street of the village when I walk past a tavern thinking nothing of it when I heard a familiar voice talking.

" Yeah, I took this from some clueless guy in the woods a few miles from here, you should've seen the look on his face," The voice laughed. I crouch down and slowly sneak to the window to look through it. Just as I thought it was the same girl as the one who robbed me but she's different now. She switched out her dress for pants and a tight shirt with tall boots, the tight curls now loose waves around her shoulders moving slightly when she talks. On her thighs were leather wrapped around it one on each holding four daggers, two on each you could just start to see the blade, what was engraved in each one carefully and beautifully was dragons.

" You've got to be kidding me," I whispered. As if the girl heard me she looked at the window. I quickly ducked down hoping she didn't see me. " I do need my bag back though," I say to myself. " Don't be a coward, Gracie gave you that bag, you need to get it back!" I said trying to make myself go into the tavern to confront the girl with the many knives to get my bag back. Before I could rethink my answer I stormed into the tavern.

" You! You took my things, I want them back!" I say angrily pointing at the girl. Everyone around her and herself fell silent and stared at me, after a couple of seconds they laughed. " Doll, this is the guy you stole from?" One guy laughed gesturing his cup towards me making the ail spill slightly over the edge onto the floor.

" Oh if it isn't my savior," The girl laughed.

" I want my bag back," I say holding my ground.

" Take it, you were right there's nothing worth anything in there," She said throwing my priceless bag at me. " Get out of here before I kill you," She says putting a hand on one of her knives. I leave quickly not wanting to be hurt or worse killed. I run down the street holding my bag tightly to my chest.

As I ran someone walked into the tavern and handed it to the owner of the place. They hung it on the wall with the others as he walked away the girl looked at what the tavern keeper hung up and her mouth curled into a smile and ripped the paper off the wall leaving a bit still there. She rolled it up and left with a plan forming in her mind.
