BNHA: Pain and Love

A man with barely any morals left was transmigrated as Izuku Midoriya about a year before the entrance exam. With Pain's (Deva path) modified powers, he hoped to enjoy his second life to the fullest. This is mostly a slice of life and no dark or really depressing things will happen to them. If you enjoy a light and fluffy read, try this out There is Inchest here, I'll let you guess who she is. There will be blood for a certain cute and misunderstood waifu too. Probably a harem with 3/4 members.

Chapter 44 - Quirk Apprehension Test

Aizawa opened the door to class 1-A to see a fight almost breaking out between two guys Izuku was unfortunately familiar with. Ida and Bakugou were bickering amongst each other before stopping when they saw Aizawa.

The two notice Izuku who stands behind Aizawa, waving at them. Ida nodded in response as he remembered Izuku fondly from the exam due to various reasons while Bakugou being Bakugou, threw a mean look at him. Izuku also noticed Ochaco further back revealing a relieved smile when she saw him and smiled back.

Aizawa couldn't be bothered with their antics and told everyone to wear their gym outfit and meet at the field. While everyone was surprised, another glare from Aizawa was enough for them to comply and meet back at the field.

Izuku, and later on everyone else, followed Ida who already memorized the vicinity of U.A. to the changing room. He looked at everyone in his class and felt particularly interested in a few of them, mostly those with unique appearances.

He remembered the person from the entrance exam who had multiple arms and introduced himself as Mezo Shoji. His multiple webbed arms reminded Izuku of duck feet, but they also appeared to be strong enough to lift a car.

A short girl with frog-like features was talking to Ochaco further back. Except for her unusually long tongue, which occasionally popped out of her mouth, she didn't look all that different from a human. Izuku thought she got lucky with her quirk because he had seen some mutants that looked like anthropomorphic animals.

'A frog, a crow, a pink alien, an invisible girl, a cliff-head, and a full-black man…This feels like a show more than anything,' Izuku thought. Even after a year he still can't get used to the abnormalities of this world but at least with this, he could get used to it faster.

(A/N: So, since Mineta is no longer in this world and didn't get into 1-A, I put Shihai Kuroiro into 1-A since it feels weird to have fewer students in 1-A than 1-B. He's the one whose skin is all black and can melt into dark surfaces if you remember.)

Standing on the field, everyone gawked when Aizawa said they were diving right into a quirk apprehension test, explaining that their school life won't be normal as they are in the heroic department.

He couldn't understand why some were surprised about Aizawa's statement. Did they think a school with the belief to produce top heroes would be as easy and lax as normal schools? Though, he couldn't say anything when he saw it was Ochaco who showed the most reaction.

Aizawa soon explained the eight tests they were going to do, of which most of them were standard physical exercise normal school tests but this time, they were allowed to use their quirk.

"Izuku," Aizawa called and threw a ball at him, "How far could you pitch a softball before?"

Izuku caught the ball and went into the pitching circle. "Don't remember,"

"Well, whatever. Try pitching it without your quirk first. Don't hold back,"

Izuku nodded and looked at the ball in his hands. He had never pitched a ball before in his life. He had thrown several grenades before, but not softballs. However, even if he had the worst posture imaginable, it wouldn't matter since he could use his quirk.

Izuku prepared himself and threw the ball without using his quirk and saw it fly quite far away. He eyeballed the distance and thought it to reach above 80m or so. He didn't know how good that was but looking at the various reactions from the crowd, it must be above average.

Aizawa threw him another ball and Izuku caught it. Holding the ball in his palm, Izuku pointed it in front of him before using his quirk. He didn't want to use his full power as it would unnecessarily drain his energy but used just enough to produce a small shockwave and for Aizawa's counter to show 700m.

While everyone was shocked at started murmuring excitedly amongst themselves, Izuku saw Aizawa glaring at him. "You didn't even try did you?"

Izuku didn't deny it. He simply smiled and shrugged, "I had to save some for the next events right?"

Aizawa didn't believe his words and said, "...Midoriya Izuku, why do you come to U.A.? And don't give me some bullshit answer." Aizawa didn't mince his words or actions, staring at Izuku with a penetrating gaze.

He could see Izuku's nonchalance towards the world of heroism right from their first meeting and couldn't help but find it distasteful.

Even if he had seen what Izuku could achieve from his exam video, he felt that as someone entrusted with overseeing and assisting the development of aspiring heroes, someone like Izuku who had no real drive to be here didn't deserve it.

"I want to become a hero," Izuku answered truthfully as he wanted the license as his primary goal.

"You don't have the conviction to become one."

Izuku couldn't deny that he didn't have as much as someone like the previous Izuku or even Bakugou for that matter, but his dream wasn't to be a good hero, it was to be one who was there for those he wanted to protect.

All lives aren't worth safekeeping other than the one close to him. However, he'd still save some here and there if he did become a hero just to keep his license, but it of course wouldn't be an adequate response for Aizawa.

"Conviction doesn't mean anything when I have power,"

Everyone had stopped their discussion as they realized what was happening between Aizawa and Izuku and stared at them. Ochaco looked nervous when she saw the glare Aizawa was giving Izuku and was worried that her friend was in trouble.

"Alright then," Aizawa showed a condescending laugh as he heard Izuku's words and replied, "Power right? Then let's add a new rule. The student who ranked last will be judged "useless" and instantly expelled!"

"!!!"

(A/N: shocked pikachu face. Also, GIVE ME STONESSS!)
