waste land

We were riding fast through the main way leading out of green valley heading towards the woods

We rode through the woods faster till Dawn taking a break to rest eat and drink some water then we continued riding for 2 days not wanting to slow down

"Let's stop for a while" dragan declared making the men's slow down

"Why? we've been doing that since we got to the woods, when do we start taking breaks frequently" I asked getting annoyed by the break we've been taking

"Since 3 days, there is a river nearby we need to fill our jar and let the horses have some water"

Of course I knew that wasn't the reason Dragan asked us to stop, it's because of the big headed female

"You know you are the reason this journey is taking more than 4 days , if it weren't for you we should have been in Persia right now"

I said pointing at the female

"Like I asked for it"

"You probably did, begging dragan to take a break you fragile creature weak like a hen"

"Look mister I don't know what your problem is, you don't know me I don't know you either and for the record I'm not fragile I'm a skilled assassin and this isn't my first time traveling"

(Chuckles) Skilled assassin indeed

"I think you meant to say skilled concubine or what is it called again " I said pretending to think

"Skilled belly dancer, I could use that as a profession too" I placed my hands on my chest couldn't contain the laughter anymore

"I guess we shouldn't have stopped. well then it is settled"

"It is my king the lady said she's not fragile"

"We continue " dragon shouted mounting his horse helping his no the female.

The journey continued as we passed countless dead trees that was leafless and has no hope of growing ,vultures , raven and eagles settled on the branches

"Increase the pace of your horses, we need to pass waste land before dusk" the king shouted as the horses gallop through the woods

Hearing the King's order , we increased our pace not wanting to entertain unwanted guests although if you ask me I would say it's too late for that

Riding through the wasteland till it was dusk not wanting to attract any creatures we had to take a break for the night

However my peaceful break was disturbed because of the violent neigh and stomping on the ground from the horses and howling coming from the trees with great force

"Ugh " I sighed frustrated

"I love having a good fight with immortals not ugly creatures" standing up I yawned

"Stay back " king Dragan said

' Dan prepare a protective dune for her' Dragan said through telepathy

Using my hand to draw a pattern in the air, I cast the barrier protecting her from any harm

Unfortunately the female came out from the barrier.

' you must be joking how was she able to do that or I made a mistake when reciting the spell'

"Are you crazy, why ....." I was suddenly attacked by a ogre making me loosing my balance, standing up I threw my daggers rushing at the beast with great speed and agility using my purple blast to guide the dagger to its heart .

' a little advice, if you want to kill an ogre from wasteland target for the heart '

Looking at my side the female took her sword out rushing towards the creature, she moved smoothly giving it a cut

'A cut wouldn't be enough female but I must confess you are indeed a skilled assassin ' i said having a conversation with myself

I watched as she moved smoothly and effortlessly but she was getting tired though she was skilled, she didn't look strong

"Don't just stand there and stare" she shouted

"I'm so sorry, if you think I would help baby girl, you said you weren't weak this is the time to prove it"

"What?? are you insane" she shouted

"It's a beast not a being like us" she said panting and breathing heavily trying to take the beast down

"That's your problem not mine" I said climbing a tree nearby enjoying the view

"Target the heart bluebell " Dragan shouted fighting two huge ogre

Recovering from the hit,the beast rushed at her , ducking down she passed under the beast climbing a tree only to jump on the ogre 'what a reckless action'

Stabbing the beast heart with her sword from the back , it shook vigorously throwing her off with great force

Using that as an opportunity I dashed towards the beast thrusting the sword deeper into the heart

"This is how you kill a beast from the wasteland" I said dragging the sword out

" I killed it first"

"Oh really? Did you "

" You're a coward, you stood there watching a lady fight with a beast all you could do was to kill an almost dead ogre , acting like you killed it"

"Clearly the lady got it all wrong, you claimed you weren't fragile and weak "

"I'm not" she said already pissed

"You merely passed the test , skilled assassin "

' you act like a lady Dan, let her be and let's go ' Dragan said telepathy

"We move on, if we stay back more will come" following the kings order we mounting our horses, we continued riding fast after the encounter with the ogre we rode through the forest without taking a break

Spending two more days at the forest, we finally got to Persia staring at the great wall from far I purred my horse to move faster , i can't be patient any longer I need to change, I'm smell like a waste right now

'yes I'm finally home, can't wait to see my Irene and be blessed with a good body massage and a hot bath'

Getting close to the gate already we gave our signals

"Open the gates, the king has arrived"

The head guard shouted , joining the others pushing the big iron door open
