Chapter 3: Not Going Home

"Well, I'm what you may call a bounty hunter, searching for a dangerous and fearsome man in this kind of world. And, some how you happen to know the person I've being looking for,'' said the strange man in a calm posture.

Keagen got up from where the pill was spilled and replied,'' I'm sorry, sir, but I believe that you're asking the wrong guy.''

The stranger looked down to where the pill had spilled and replied,'' Are you sure about that? Because it's funny how that pill right there is not from this type of world.''

''I...actually don't understand what you're saying, sir,'' said Keagen, being confuse.

"That pill right there, that you're taking. It's called blood pill and it contains actual real blood,'' explained the mysterious man.

"What?— What are you talking about?'' replied Keagen, as he turn to look at the pill and saw one that was burst open, releasing red like substance from it.

"Sir, I'm sorry, but I don't believe what you're saying is true; what I see right infron of me, is a red medicinal substance from the pill," remarked Keagen.

"Okayyy, why not touch it then, and see for yourself if it's not real blood?,'' replied the stranger.

Keagen takes him at his word and observes for himself.

"Looks thin doesn't it?'' said the man.

"What the?—" said Keagen in disbelief. He then added, "This is impossible. How did I not know about this after all these years?

"You knew, but your hunger got the best of you,'' replied the strange man.

"No, you are mistaken; what you stated doesn't make any sense at all. Because, my mother had told me, it's a medication use to treat my rare illness," said Keagen in continued denial.

"You got to be kidding me. So, you assume that this so call medicine suppose to help you with a strange disease?,'' said the enigmatic man, as he suddenly burst out of laughing, then continued,'' Oh you're lost boy, you know that? But I have to break it to you. For it appears your mother is keeping a very dark secret.''

"No, don't turn me against my mother, you big liar," replied Keagan being stun for what he just heard.

''Okay, take it easy, young boy, since you're saying I'm a liar. Then let me prove it another way, how are you feeling right now?'' asked the strange man.

"I'm feeling fine and stop tricking me with your lies...Oh, wait a minute, I don't feel the urge as before. What happen?,'' said Keagen, as he realized the hunger is worn off.

"[*Sigh*] So it's confirmed. Alright then, unfortunately it looks like you're not going home today, young man,'' replied the man.

"Wait-What? Wha-what are doing?!'' Keagen exclaimed, feeling very scared, as the strange man quickly placed his left hand on Keagen's shoulder and instantly teleported him out of the district.

***************

Appearing in an abandoned warehouse, Keagen was hurled to the ground. After laying there in fright, he cautiously creeps away from the man, perplexed at what just happened.

"Ladies and gentleman. I've found the person who can lead us to this dangerous foe!'' exclaimed the enigmatic man.

"An ordinary school boy? This is unexpected,'' said the unknown woman.

"Oh no, he's not just an average boy, as you might say. For our blue gem stone had never led us to the wrong person,'' replied the mysterious man.

"Okay, enlighten me about this young man, you're so excited about holding captive?'' Inquired the mysterious woman.

Keagen in the meantime halted from crawling. And begin to have an internal monologue within himself, ''Who the hell are these people? I better find a way out of here, somehow."

"Oh sure, this guy right here, had turn out to be a vampire who can also survive the burning sunlight,'' explained the man.

"What do he mean by I'm a vampire?'' Keagen murmured while on his hand and knees to the ground.

"Huh?,'' replied the woman in sudden shock and disbelief.

Suddenly, the warehouse front door begins to open.

The lady and the man became startled of the door being opened. So, the mysterious man, quickly snatched up Keagen from the ground and held him as hostage.

"Let me go! I want to go home to my mother!'' exclaimed Keagen in rage.

"Shut up! I don't care about your mother being worried about you, boy.'' replied the man holding him hostage.

"Cease your magic! "It's your leader," stated the third member of the group.

The man who had held Keagen as a hostage, began to let down his guard while still holding Keagen by the back of his neck color and said, 'Try that again and I'll torture you worse than what's gonna take place soon. You hear me?''

Keagen immediately remains mute and terrified by what he just heard from the strange man.

''Speaking of the devil! Good day, sir! For we have good news for you,'' said the man.

''Okay, what is it? And who is this young man you're holding captive?'' the leader inquired.

"Well, that's the good news, boss. For this young fellow right here, knows where we could find the treat to our world.''

"Oh really?'' replied the leader.

"So wait a second, I'm very curious, Dugasial. What do you mean by he's a vampire that can stand in sunlight,'' the lady inquired.

"Oh, thanks for reminding me to explain about that part,'' said Dugasial as he let go of Keagen neck color and said to him, ''Remember don't try anything stupid.''

Keagen remains mute with his head hang down.

"Vampire? Survive in sunlight? Wait a second. So you caught a hybrid?'' said the leader.

"Yeah, I guest? I did not know that? But, in any case, that is even more interesting to know why he is here in the first place," replied Dugeziel.

"Yes, it is, but the thing I would like to know is. How did you find out that he is a vampire?'' the leader inquired.

"Well, that is, luck, of course,'' replied Dugeziel.

"Please, explain in details what happened, Dugezial?" asked the strange woman behind him, reclining against a wall.

"Okay, so after I was using the magical crystal to track the target. I somehow caught him at the right time, with a red jelly- like pill scattered all over on the sidewalk. Fortunately, I observed several of them burst, which indicates it was a blood pill, after seeing the red liquid. Oh, and I almost forgot another thing as well. The enchanted necklace that we wore, had also confirmed him to be that creature," Dugeziel explained.

"So, he wasn't able to take his pills?" the woman asked.

"Yup," replied Dugeziel.

"Alright, since that's the case. Our enchanted necklace won't suppress his hunger for too long. Dugeziel?'' said the leader as he turn to Dugeziel with a hint from his expression.

"Oh, I understand, boss. I'll fulfill that task right now. 'You, come with me,'' Dugeziel muttered, as he grabbed Keagen by his clothes, yanking him over to the chair.

After Keagen was aggressively placed on the chair. He began to utilize his power to secure Keagen from escaping.

Keagen, sitting down quietly, felt hopeless after realizing he won't be able to return home.

''Alright! Now the interrogation begins,'' said Dugeziel as he perform a dangerous spell on Keagen, causing him to feel like his bone to pulled from the inside out.

''AAAUGH!,'' Keagen exclaimed in anguish, as the pain went too extreme that he became lightheaded, and passed out for a split second.

Within that moment of him half unconscious, he could only hear a few words from the man who was torturing him. '' Now, tell me, where is Largadious the ice demon?"

Well, as you can see from what you've read so far. I'm technically a noob, but because of my large imagination and a bit of passion, I started writing.

After constantly rewriting, rereading, researching, thinking and grammatically correcting my work. I came to realize I need to see what others may think of my novel, and I'm hoping it may become a series someday.

So, I'm asking for your support on my project, by leaving a comment and if like, you could add to your library. Thanks and apprecaite it!
