Introduction

I am 21 years old, and my whole life has been a series of lies. Like my ID for starters states that I'm 24. My name is Ray, I don't really have a last name, since I was technically never born and no one calls me Ray. The name and age on my documents have changed so many times. My life has been one long chaotic nightmare, repeating the same thing over and over. Just as I think it's over, looking forward to something better it drags me back in.

I wake to the bright sun shining through the window. I'm so exhausted, my head hurts, the sun stings my eyes and my chest aches. Somehow my head ended up resting on this amazingly toned chest of a really handsome man. Under different circumstances this would be a dream come true. Oh man he is fine like a punk rockstar meets supermodel. Man he is really hot. I can't help but stair a bit while he sleep. I rub my hand down his chest, and stomach... Is he not wearing pants?!? ... How did I end up next to a naked tattoo model?

... It's not like I'm bad looking by any means, more average, I have long brown hair, green eyes, and fair skin. I do have a ton of surgical scars all over, but most of them are faded, and blend in.

This is not how I expected my first date to go. I want to run away, change my name and hide (again.) But I can't.

Nothing went as planned last night. I mean nothing. Although it definitely could have been worse.

I'm laying here almost naked next to a man that I don't even know. How did this happen? I would say let's go back to the beginning but that's a story for another day.

I'll take you back to yesterday morning. Where everything started out normal before my life forever changed.

4:00 am

Wake up, make bed into couch.

Eat pice of fruit.

Get dressed. (yoga pants, sports bra)

Run. (Every day different route, can't be predictable)

Workout.

Get dressed for school. (I throw on my only tee-shirt over my sports bra and switch my only pair of yoga pants for my only pair of jeans.)

I don't have much clothing. What I do have is very plain. " if they never noticed you to start out with you don't have to worry about them forgetting you." My dad always encouraged me to be invisible.

He would be disappointed with me. My grades are to high, I tutor kids for money, and I'm going on a date. I take a look my outfit for my date tonight, I'm so excited. I used most my savings to get it, it will definitely stand out.

I gather my school books and bag and head out to class. I'm studying ancient cultures and beliefs...

Walk to school.

Its September, as the summer classes come to an end I'll be done with school for good. Today is Friday the last day of the term. I can't wait to be done. I stay on campus all day between three finally exams and tutoring, there was no time to eat.

It's now 10 PM. I need to get home for my first date, I have to get ready.

. I turn my books in to the library, and I'm off.

The first step away from here is a step to my future.

The campus is empty, it's dark and not well lit.

My path home takes me through the woods on a dirt trail.

I've been thinking about this date all week.
