Blood & Chaos

"Where am I? What is this place?"  He didn't know where he was. Nothing looked familiar to him. He was completely surrounded by sand and there was no sign of how he ended up there.  He was no longer in the Scarion Empire. He was in a strange, unfamiliar land. A land that seemed as if it isn't even on Neoptolemos. He heard a voice from behind him. "Another one was sent by the Nameless One."  He looked behind him. "Set?" He suddenly grabbed the hilt of his sword. "No, you're Mars aren't you?" He pulled his sword off his back.  His first encounter in this strange land… was a God of War?! ______________________ New Chapter every other Sunday

The Beyond

The dark room suddenly came to a halt. It had stopped ascending.

He looked around and thought. "Is it over?"

There was complete silence within the room. He then heard something. A Hiss. There was hissing from within the room.

He scrambled off the ground and turned to look at the source of the hissing. It sounded like it was coming from everywhere at once. He continued to turn around in a circle to try to pinpoint the source but was unable to do so. He couldn't see anything through the darkness.

The hissing continued and he remained alerted to the sound. However, the longer the hissing continued the weaker his body became and the weaker his senses got. He thought. "What… is this…? What's happening to… me…?"

He lost the strength in his legs and fell onto the ground. He looked up at the darkness weakly. The darkness looked unfocused. His eyes kept trying to close but then he forced them back open again.

The hissing stopped. It was replaced by a loud metallic click.

He looked toward the source of the click. The click was followed by loud metallic groaning.

The wall began to open as the metal continued to groan. Light seeped out from the opening.

He continued to watch the wall open as he attempted to keep his eyes open.

The opening continued to get wider. More light continued to seep in. The light revealed what the room actually looked like. A completely empty black room.

He continued to stare at the opening as he had to try harder and harder to keep his eyes open.

The loud metallic groaning finally stopped. The wall stopped moving.

Two figures rushed toward the room. Both the figures had two strange things. They had the armor they wore and the weapons they carried.

The armor was thick black metallic armor. The armor looked so thick that a sword wouldn't be able to slice through it. However, it was still somehow light enough that people could run with it. Along with the armor were the helmets the figures wore. The helmets lacked any eye holes and instead had dark glass.

The weapons the figures had were even stranger. They lacked any bladed weapons. They instead carried strange tools in their hands and had another strapped to their waist. The strange tools looked dangerous even though they lacked blades.

As he watched the two figures approach him. He could still see the light from beyond. He moved his right hand weakly. He tried to reach out toward the light. His eyes couldn't resist any longer. Finally, his eyes closed.
