"Kaito, outside of the two hundred district, there were usually only beast and very rare any human soul to be here. Furthermore, they usually die early eaten by the beast or the passerby hollow. That's why, we usually use these district to be our training ground." Sai heard a voice as he slowly gain his consciousness.

"So, this human soul have that great luck to be found by us? But, what about the sword in his hand? He didn't let it go even after loosing his consciousness." Another voice spoke.

"Who knows? There are many asauchi remnants from the last war outside Seireitei. For him to find one and he manages to kill the hollow, it might be his fate. Not to say, a soul that had a contact with hollow, will usually awake at least a small amount of spirit power. When that happens, his fate was already sealed. Whether he worked hard to control the power, or he will die of starvation." The first voice sigh as he spoke.

"Starvation? Isn't it new soul won't feel hungry and thirst after coming to soul society?" The second voice asked again

"Because he had a contact with the hollow and even kill it. A small bit of reiryoku from the hollow would disturbed his reiryoku, and his soul has high probability to awaken a small spirit power. Slowly, he will feel hungry and and thirst. If he didn't find anything to be eaten, his soul will get sick and slowly vanished from this world." The first voice explained.

"So, that's why you bring him with us?" The second voice continued to ask

"Originally, we will not interfere with anything that happened Rokungai except we have a specific duty to be done. So his fate usually don't have anything to do with us. It's just that this district is far away from any human soul inhabitants or any food source, he surely die of starvation if we just let him like that. At least bringing him to some human soul district will at least give him the chance to fight for himself. The rest is up to him." The first voice spoke again.

"T-thank you." A voice expressed his gratitude.

Turning back, Kaito saw Sai sat up from his lying position.

"Owh. You are finally awake." Kaito said to him.

"Good. You wake up faster than I thought. I am Itsuki, the leader of this group." Itsuki turned to Sai and reached his hand.

"Sai." Sai answered and he shook hands with Itsuki.

After bringing Sai to the nearest district, Itsuki and his team left.

In front of a small hut, a teenager was sitting alone as he watched the sunset.

"Soul society... For the first time ever, I arrive at the world where I know what's going on. Those past unknown worlds... Ahh forget it. Speaking about those worlds makes me remember that damn system." Sai's body suddenly shivered.

Then he looked at the sword beside him and picked it up.

"Do I need to do it? Strive for power? Again?" Sai sighed as he slowly put down the sword.

Fighting and striving for more than a hundred of years, not only did he end up with failures, but he had died thrice for that purpose. Thinking about that made him tired and doubted his interest towards power.

Sai closed his eyes and laid on the floor.

Two years later. Seireitei Gate.

Sai stood in front of the gate as he looked towards the recruitment camp.

Two years ago, Sai initially didn't want to pursue power or increase his strength. However, after a few months of his arrival to this world, he started to feel bored and his food saving that was left by Kaito had already gone. It was then when hunger struck him, he slowly understood the important of seeking power in this world.

After a long fight against hunger, he finally decided to do it. To once again strived for strength. This time, there was no system or any mission for him to be forced into. All he was going to do will be on his freedom of choice.

Not only that, Sai actually was afraid that the system would appear if he died again in this world.

From that moment onwards, he slowly walked through many districts before finally arrived at nearest district from seireitei, half a year ago.

He had to wait for another half a year for the new shinigami recruitment date.

Following others, Sai queued and waited for his turn.

"Next!" The shinigami on duty called before Sai arrived in front of him.

"Name?"

"Sai. Nosaku Sai."

"From?"

"Northern Districts no 114. The Sakuragi Districts."

"Sakuragi? You had come long way huh. Put your hand on the plate." The shinigami comment and asked him to do the next step.

Shino academy tested their applicants in two stages. First it was the test whether to accept them or to reject them. Next is to decided which class they will put the students in.

The first test was to determine their reiryoku amount. Then they will determine the nature of his reiryoku. Combined with the two test results they will decide whether the applicant will succeed or fail his test.

If they had succeeded, the results were also used as tools to determine which class they will be put into.

The school measures reiryoku in two stage which are the Class and Nature. There are six class which are Trainee, Practitioner, Expert, Seated, Lieutenant and Captain class reiatsu . Having a seated and above class reiatsu doesn't mean you already qualified for the rank. It is just the average volume of the stated class. The class also divided into three phase which are called Lower, Middle and Upper.

On the second stage, the reiryoku will be be tested to see their nature. The results will only be two. Whether Order or Chaotic nature. This test shows the nature of the reiatsu itself.

Sai put his hand on the plate. The plate started to blipping. The numbers and words started to move as it kept on changing before it finally stopped.

Looking at Sai's result, the examiner's eyebrows raised up.
