I was just a normal teenager, a random high school student who loved anything remotely gaming related, it was my hobby and above all my passion.

Everything was normal but then a certain day, about three months ago, I woke up with a strange feeling, not only that I also started seeing strange words above people's heads.

At first, I was confused and didn't even know what to think about it, for me it was all a dream but as time passed more and more strange things happened.

Not only could I see people's level, but I could also see their titles and names and do the same for myself through a mirror or a reflective surface.

Then I discover that I could also receive missions from other people, my mother predominantly. I could increase my intelligence by reading and studying, and my power; endurance, and agility by working out.

At this point, I had no choice but to accept my situation. I had either acquired a video game-related superpower or I was in a simulation.

To be sure I tried calling out a status panel since it was possible in some games, and sure enough, it worked. HP, MP, STR, VIT, AGI, INT, SAG, LUCK, CHA. Stat points. Everything, the total.

How did this happen to me? When did my life turn into a game? I wasn't sure but what I knew was that it definitely was gonna change my life forever... if it didn't already.

My name is Han Jihan, a guy who obtained a stranger ability called "The Gamer".

After that, I got to talk to my childhood friend and best friend Shin Seonil after discovering that he himself was not so normal thanks to my ability. He was hostile at first, believing that I was not myself but instead someone else pretending to be me.

But I was able to prove my identity without any problem. Then after this event, I came to learn many things.

This world was not as I first believed, there existed people with unique abilities and magic, special entities like demons and Gods. And they all lived in the reverse side of the world called the "Abyss".

The reverse side of the world meant that they did their activities predominantly in sub-dimensions superposed to reality called "Illusory domain" and anyone in the abyss could create one with the help of an entity known as "Gaia" The will of the world.

"Gaia" Was also the one conferring special abilities to random people such as me. Meaning she is the origin of my predicament.

But if there are people who possess unique abilities without them willing, there are also people who can get them through training. And Seonhil's case was seemingly the second.

Moving on, turn out that even among unique Ability Users, I am special, an ability like mine was unheard of to this point due to the large number of things I could do with it.

With that, my life in the abyss began, I met many people, some good, others not so much. I made new friends and allies such as Kwong Shiyeon, Hwan Seong-A, and her father Hwan Seongwon.

Many things happened, and I went through many difficult and dangerous moments, but at the end of it all, they only served to make me stronger. I leveled up by hunting monsters and gained new skills. Then I decided to invest in Int and become a sorcerer/Magician.

It was also during one of those moments that I met my now teacher, Lolikiano Mistrim, a sage from Europe and a powerful magician ranked amount the top thousands of the world.

After helping her more than one time, she accepted to teach me magic and with her help, I grew even stronger, now not only knowing more magic spells but even being able to use twin spells.

Recently I came upon a strange dungeon, one that was totally unidentified, I farmed there for a while, becoming Lv 35 by the way. But after further thought about it, I decided to inform Seonil and master Loli about it.

After some little investigation, it has been discovered that someone was trying to amass the energy of the thoughts and beliefs of a large number of people through a game they could access in their dreams. And the said game's physical and magical realization gave life to this strange dungeon called the great Labyrinth.

The amassed energy formed from those will supposedly give birth to a "God" but since the thoughts, imagination, and belief coming from that many people will undoubtedly be chaotic. But no one knew exactly what kind of God would come to be which was rather worrisome.

So my master wanted to do some more investigation, and I accepted to tag along with her in order to help and also grind at the same time... Can't waste any opportunity to grow stronger.

It was during the said investigation something strange appeared. As we were discussing about the possible depth of the dungeon, suddenly a space distorted as a blue-pinkish portal appeared not far from our location.

The portal was large around for two people to get through. Then walked out a rather tall man, probably the most good-looking guy I ever saw in my life and he was hugging a black cat in his hands. His appearance was rather unique though even coming from someone like me considering I even met two of the 72 demon kings of hell.

My first reflex was to check his level above his head but I was only met with question marks. I couldn't see his title, nor his level, nor his name, a complete enigma.

Following him, an even stranger beautiful girl with green hair and a skull on her head, probably a monster or a demon. But I also couldn't get any information about her, only question marks. Heck, even the black cat was all question mark.

"Who are you?" It was only after hearing my master's apprehensive voice that I came back to my sense. She was already in front of me, with a hand protecting me.

"This Labyrinth..." he ignored us entirely as he looked around, seemingly analyzing the Great Labyrinth. I first thought that the labyrinth was the reason for his presence, but seeing as he is surprised, there should be something more to it.

"The great labyrinth... hm... this does give me more information. I will think about it later." Yep, I am sure that he is not here for it even though he seems to know what it is.

"Shin-sama, you are once again talking to yourself." The girl said. Now at least we know his name... Shin huh? I never heard of him but judging as his name is Japanese, he should be from there.

"Ha sorry about that." He also seems to be polite, and his manners... is he a noble or something?

"I did intend to come at you but I never expected the portal to take me here." Wait... no, no no, you must be kidding right? He definitely was not looking at me when he said that right?

Ha fuck, why would he be here for me? I don't remember doing anything that upset someone like that, even more to the point he personally comes after me.

"You aren't answering?" He was still looking at me... there was no mistake.

Seems like I have no other choice, even though I am not sure if it will work, I should at least try. With that in mind, I used my skill "Inspect" on him in order to get some information to work with.

Result? Nothing, Utterly nothing.

This was the most question mark I have seen since I got this ability, not in my entire life even. Aksi how many fucking does this guy even possess, there was no ending to it.

"ho?" He seemed surprised for a moment, wait... did he? No no no, impossible, It never happened before. "Hahahaha." Then he burst out laughing, it was quite... unsettling.

"Did you just try to use your skill on me?" he asked after stopping laughing. No, although it seemed like he asked, his tone told me that he definitely know.

I am so fucked.

The girl behind her eyes narrowed and, although there was no sign of it, I could feel some invisible pressure fall on me just because of her gaze. But seeing as I lost no HP it mustn't be an attack.

I could feel sweat dripping down my forehead... briefly looking at my master, I could see her nervous expression. It is also the first time that I see her like that... but if I could myself right now, I think my expression wouldn't be much different.

"It's fine Nelliel, we are not here with hostile intent. In fact, it's quite the opposite."

It was only then that could that pressure disappear, but I still couldn't feel at ease. The girl was strong enough to put such pressure on me with just her killing intent. Just how strong was she? And how strong was the Guy named Shin, she was so respectful to?

But why did the black cat he just put on the ground look at me like that? I said I was sorry alright?

"My name is Shin Kurosaki, those are Yoruichi and Nelliel. I am a Shinigami, pleased to meet you, Han Jihan The Gamer, and Lolikiano Mistrim, Witch of slaughter." I heard him say with a bow.

Ho I see, he knows really knows us and he is a Shinigami, he was not a noble but just a Shinigami...

Wait... something ain't right.

Something is definitely wrong with this.

Isn't a Shinigami a Death God from Japanese mythology?

I see, so he is a God, just a death God... nothing much...

Fuck, there is no need to be in denial, there is a fucking God before us, and Death God At that.

At least now we know that he didn't come to cause trouble...

That's the only thing I could tell myself to not die in a stupor right here and there... And Gamer Mind too.

I don't know much... but I am pretty sure a Japanese God shouldn't be in Korea right? That does not sound much logical.

Looking in front, my master seemed even more in disbelief than me... Perhaps it's because she knows more about God than I do.

As I was about to speak, he slowly turned his neck and looked behind him. Following his gaze, I came to see the monsters have respawned.

I swallowed my future words along with some saliva when I saw his eyes glowing for a bit and then recently respawned monsters being seemingly crushed to death.

Fuck... It was possible to do something like that? Kill someone with just a Gaze? So cool! I wanna learn that. Would he be willing to teach me?

"Huh..." I couldn't help but mutter in anxiety.

"What? You did ask me how you could help, didn't you?" The Shinigami answered.

"Yes but..."

"Let me guess, you didn't expect such a turn of events?" He seemed amused by my predicament.

I looked at my master for help, but all she did was turn away, avoiding eye contact.

"Ahhh..." I sighed, I can do nothing about it anyway, what is done is done.

No, Hell with that! I did ask how I could help him to get out of that awkward situation but how was I supposed to know that he would ask for me to take him to my house?

Now He is drinking tea served to him by the girl Named Nelliel on my living room sofa, Tea that was mine! They asked politely though.

But still, why the fuck did all those fucked up things happen to me? How am I supposed to live normally and peacefully with a literal Shinigami in my house, an overpowered secretary and cat that turned out to not just be a normal cat but a beautiful woman that's also supposedly his wife or girlfriend?

Ho God, Why me, Why me, dear Gaia? Is it because I got such awesome ability? then please take it back I don't want it anymore! I want my normal life back!
