Chapter 95: Hollowfication Training

With Lisa Yadōmaru's assistance, Yamahiko thoroughly cleaned the room, leaving no corner untouched. Once the cleaning was complete, he turned his attention to furnishing the space. 

He ordered a bed, a writing desk, and a clothes rack. The items arrived promptly, though they couldn't be used immediately; they needed to be converted into Reishi.

In the Soul Society, the essence of beings, buildings, and even food is composed of Reishi. However, in the Human world, they consist of physical objects. 

Reishi can pass through physical matter, allowing spiritual entities to exist in the Human world. However, humans cannot enter the space where Reishi exists.

Individuals composed of physical objects, to enter the Soul Society, need to undergo a transformation. After transformation, not only does the person's body become a spiritual entity filled with reishi, but the clothing is also transformed together (refer to the first time Chad(Yasutora Sado), Uryu Ishida, and Orihime Inoue went to the Soul Society).

Reishi is more like another state of physical matter; therefore, all these inanimate objects, such as pieces of furniture, must undergo a similar transformation to enable souls to interact with them.

Yamahiko spent three to four days decorating his room, making it neater and more orderly than the other rooms. 

The reason he did this was that for the foreseeable future, he would be staying here, and he naturally wanted to make it feel like his own home.

Conservatively estimating, this time should be within thirty years. This time point is the final trigger for the letter Yamahiko gave to Unohana Retsu, and it is also the starting point of the original plot.

'With Ichigo Kurosaki leading the way, it's the perfect time for me to fish in troubled waters. This Hollowfication time refers to the duration of the mask's maintenance in a non-combat state, as it is challenging to control in a combat state due to the intensity of the battle and the opponent's strength.

Yamahiko goes to the underground training ground to begin testing Hollowfication, with Lisa Yadōmaru assisting him. After obtaining information about Shunsui Kyōraku and Nanao Ise, Lisa helps him over the next few days.

After Lisa Yadōmaru starts the timing, Yamahiko mobilizes the Hollowfication power within him. A mask with a horizontal line and a pointed tip covering Yamahiko's face emerges.

Yamahiko comprehends this aspect, much like Ichigo Kurosaki. Initially, Ichigo could only maintain it for four seconds, later extending it to eleven seconds. It wasn't until entering the Hollowfication state that he achieved a duration of over a minute.

Despite these enhancements, he still lost control when confronted by Ulquiorra.

Hollowfication time is determined by three factors. The first is the level of reiryoku. After Hollowfication, reiryoku increases, and speed and strength skyrocket. 

However, there is a period of vulnerability after Hollowfication. The enhanced reiryoku, speed, and strength are the results of excessive strain. The greater your baseline reiryoku, the longer your Hollowfication time.

The second is the consumption during battle, which is not a concern in normal states.

The third is the level of the Hollow. The more powerful the Hollow, the greater the energy consumption during Hollowfication.

Lastly, the fourth step involves overcoming Hollowfication. The more challenging the battle against the inner Hollow, the shorter the Hollowfication time becomes. However, pushing the process too far can result in a state where the Hollow takes control of the body.

Ichigo Kurosaki's body harbors an exceptionally potent Hollow power, being the first White created by Aizen. The struggle to overcome the White within himself posed a significant challenge for Ichigo.

So Ichigo's time in Hollowfication is not longer than that of the members of the Visored.

Lisa glanced at the time and said, "Thirty seconds. How does it feel?"

Yamahiko replied, "It feels pretty good."

Ten minutes later.

Lisa asked, "Now? For most of us, the first time we can sustain it is around ten minutes. Except for Mashiro Kuna, who managed fifteen hours right from the start."

Feeling it out, Yamahiko added, "It's still fine, no sensation of the mask being unsustainable."

After half an hour.

Lisa said, "Test your time yourself; looks like we've got another long-timer."

Yamahiko had high reiryoku, already at level seven, reaching captain level, which could compensate for the Hollowfication consumption.

Plus, he defeated his Hollow self too easily, only taking twenty minutes, relatively short time among the mask wearers.

He found her blushing as she read a book, and upon catching Yamahiko's gaze, she discreetly put the book away.

Yamahiko told Lisa Yadōmaru about his Hollowfication time. She was with the other members of the Visored, Expressing surprise at the duration of his Hollowfication timing, she remarked, "Four hours? That's quite a long time."

Kensei Muguruma raised an eyebrow and asked, "Four hours on your first attempt? Quite impressive. No one in the Visored can match that, right?"

However, Mashiro Kuna leaned over with a smile, stating, "You're still far behind me."

With a hint of irritation, Kensei Muguruma responded, "Mashiro, are you bragging? Can you last longer than four hours?"

From the side, Love Aikawa explained, "Mashiro is the only one who hasn't trained to extend her Hollowfication time. She had fifteen hours on her first attempt."

Kensei Muguruma, with a raised eyebrow, questioned, "Is that so? I don't remember."

Mashiro Kuna immediately taunted, "I knew it, Kensei is just a big fool."

"You!!" Kensei Muguruma quickly stood up, prepared to give Mashiro Kuna a lesson, but he was restrained by Love Aikawa.

Seeing this scene, Yamahiko felt a sense of déjà vu, reminiscent of the scenes that occurred during Ichigo's training.

At this moment, Shinji Hirako said, "However, we still need to extend the training time as much as possible. After all, during battles, spiritual energy will be greatly weakened. Yamahiko followed behind her, with Hiyori Sarugaki following suit. Hachigen Ushōda said, "I'll go too, to stabilize the barrier."

The four arrived in the basement, where Yamahiko and Mashiro Kuna stood in the center. Suddenly, Mashiro said, "Start by entering your Hollowfication."

Yamahiko nodded, summoning his Hollow mask. Mashiro Kuna also summoned her mask, which had a heart-shaped design with two large holes for eyes and four small openings.

In the instant she summoned her mask, she suddenly lifted her long leg. Constrained by the tight white bodysuit, her leg showcased graceful curves—rounded thighs and slender calves. Like a spring, it instantly shot out, aiming at Yamahiko's face.

Yamahiko raised both arms to block his face, and with a loud bang, he was sent flying, crashing into the barrier, causing the walls to tremble.

"How do we train? Well, it's through a battle," Mashiro Kuna said with a playful smile. She quickly restrained her grin, adding, "You need to be careful; I won't hold back. If you're not serious, you might get seriously hurt or even killed."

Yamahiko slowly climbed up from the ground, recalling that Mashiro Kuna had a childlike personality and an insatiable desire for battle, much like the combination of Yachiru Kusajishi and Kenpachi Zaraki. 

"Bring it on," Yamahiko said with a slight smile. With Mashiro Kuna, he would use this opportunity to hone his combat skills.
