Shinobu dragged Kanae out of the room while saying sorry to Ichigo.

Ichigo just smiled and said that it was alright. Kanae must have something wrong inside her head.

He didn't criticize her, as he knew that being a ghost and wandering around the afterlife could mess up someone's mind.

'Or maybe she had a past that made her become like that.'

Ichigo didn't want to think about it anymore. He felt relaxed after getting the treatment from the Kocho siblings. He closed his eyes and drifted off into a peaceful sleep.

Next morning. Ichigo woke up and took care of himself.

He had many useful magics that he learned from Venelana. One of them was cleaning magic. With cleaning magic, Ichigo effortlessly cleaned himself.

His mother always taught him that hygiene was important, and he took joy in maintaining a clean appearance. After finishing his morning routine, Ichigo heard footsteps from the outside of his room.

"Ichigo-sama, breakfast is ready."

Ichigo heard Kanae's voice calling for him from outside the room. Ichigo opened the door and saw the well dressed Kanae greet him with a gentle smile.

She acted like nothing happened yesterday night, and Ichigo didn't want to bring it up. He was then led to the dining room, where a delicious breakfast awaited him, prepared by Kanae and Shinobu as usual.

Shinobu was still ashamed of what happened last night, unlike Kanae, who didn't show any signs of discomfort at all.

"After breakfast, we will go back to Ubuyashiki's estate."

Ichigo didn't have to do anything anymore about Hollows or anything. All he had to do now was wait for someone to pick him up and find a way to make Nezuko and Kanae human again.

'Should I permanently seal Shinigami power from them?'

Ichigo didn't think it was the right thing to do. However, if he could not find any better solution before he had to go back to his world, he had to do what he had to.

After the breakfast, Ichigo and Kocho's siblings head back to the Ubuyashiki's estate by foot. They reached their destination faster than yesterday.

And when they arrived, they were welcomed by the sight of Rengoku and Kamado's siblings and their friend.

Rengoku saw them and he said with a straight face.

"Welcome back, Ichigo-sama."

Rengoku greeted Ichigo and nodded toward Kocho's siblings. He seemed to be preparing to go somewhere with Tanjirou and everyone.

Seeing that Ichigo was curious, Rengoku didn't have anything to hide. Ichigo might be able to help him with the mission as well.

He told him about his mission. There were more than 40 people who went missing on a train, and they suspected it was the work of demons.

Rengoku asked Ichigo if he would join them in investigating the case.

"I think it is my obligation to prevent something like this from happening again as a Hashira. I will go with you. Kanae, Shinobu, please go and inform Kagaya-sama for me."

Kanae wanted to go with him, but Shinobu stopped her and dragged her away.

"I will inform Oyakata-sama about your decision. Please be safe, Ichigo-sama," Shinobu said as she led Kanae away.

"Ichigo-nii-san."

Nezuko jumped at him and hugged him in her child form. She could still use demon power even though he had already cured her of the demon transformation curse.

Tanjirou wanted to scold Nezuko for being rude, but Ichigo said that it was okay. Then he looked at the new faces.

"Nezuko-chan, why…"

A yellow haired boy spoke with tears in his eyes, while the other boy, who was wearing a boar mask, let out smoke from his nose.

Tanjirou noticed that he looked at the two interestingly. He then introduced them to him.

"Ichigo-sama, these two are my friends. The one who is crying is named Agatsuma Zenitsu. And the one who is breathing out smoke is named Hashibira Inosuke."

He then told the two of them who Ichigo was.

Zenitsu became frightened when he heard that he was the appointed head of all Hashira. While the boar mask named Inosuke suddenly challenged him.

"Fight me!"

Tanjirou and Zenitsu were shocked. They stopped Inosuke from seeking death.

"I—Ichigo-sama, Inosuke didn't mean to offend you. He is just…"

Seeing their antics, Ichigo just smiled and said,

"I understand, don't worry, I won't be offended that easily. To be honest, his behavior is kind of adorable."

Ichigo chuckled at his unpredictable behavior. He thought of Naruko when he first met her.

"Well, I think we should go quickly. Please lead the way, Rengoku-dono."

Ichigo didn't know much about the details of the mission. He would ask Rengoku to tell him while they were traveling.
