Chapter 238 Setting the plan in motion

Kagaya opened his eyes abruptly. He found that he was inside his bedroom, and there was no one around him. He remembered that his curse acted up and tortured him like it always did.

However, the pain didn't last as long as he had thought. It must be because Kurosaki Ichigo came back and helped him.

He felt like he had a long dream, but everything just happened in the span of a few seconds.

He saw his ancestor smile toward him on a snowy night.

Right now, Kagaya's body was covered in ice, yet he felt warm from the inside. He felt like the ice that covered his entire body was protecting him from any harm.

He checked his body and found that he had become healthy, and the curse was gone.

"Are you awake, my lord?" Kagaya heard his wife softly speak as she approached him.

"Yes, I am awake," Kagaya replied with a smile. "I had a strange dream, but now I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders."

Amane smiled when she saw that her husband's curse was gone and he had become healthy. She remembered when they first met and fell in love with each other.

"What actually happened? Can you tell me how his lordship was able to break the curse?" Kagaya asked.

He only knew that the curse was gone, but he wanted to know everything in detail. He was in great debt. He wanted to repay Ichigo accordingly.

Amane went silent a little bit before she explained to him.

"You mean that his lordship stabbed me with a spiritual sword to force the curse out of my body through my ancestor's blood? And my ancestor was actually Yuki Onna Yokai." Kagaya was shocked.

He remembered when Ichigo asked him about Yokai. He learned about them but didn't think that he would be one of them. He was even a descendant of a powerful Yokai!

"Where is his lordship? I want to thank him." Kagaya stood up from his bed. He had become healthy, so he could move freely.

His body was that of a Yokai, so he not only became healthy, but he was even stronger than a normal human.

"Please calm down, Dana-sama. His lordship is now resting in his room. We should thank him formally the next day. Hinaki,Nichiki, Kiriya, Kanata, and even Kuina also had to thank him because he also helped them awaken their ancestor's blood." 

Amane didn't have Yokai blood in her. Therefore, she was not stabbed by the sword. She took it herself to care for her family.

"Is that so? What a pity. I will formally thank him tomorrow with my daughters and son in front of every Hashira." Kagaya sighed. 

He wanted to thank and repay him right away. But he knew the importance of proper etiquette and wanted to show his gratitude in a respectful manner. 

Kagaya made a mental note to ensure that the formal thanks would be a grand gesture fitting for someone who had helped awaken the ancestral blood of his children and him. 

Speaking about Hashira, Amene smiled. 

She remembered what had happened and felt both sorry and angry at them. She was sorry for what they had been through and angry because they treated her husband's guest with hostility.

They ought to have been even more remorseful when they heard that Ichigo had helped Kagaya escape the curse. Shinobu must have told them already.

They were loyal to a fault when it came to her husband. And they actually act very disrespectfully toward their lord's benefactor.

"Then let us sleep and await tomorrow together, my lord." Amane looked at the handsome Kagaya. 

It had been a very long time since she had attended to his nightly needs. And it was a very long time ago since they had any kind of intimate connection. 

Now that Kagaya was healthy and strong again, Amane hoped that they could reignite their passion and love for each other.

Kagaya looked at his beautiful wife. They were married to each other for a very long time, so he knew what she desired.

Because his body became weak because of the curse. He couldn't help but feel sorry for his wife because he didn't have the strength to physically show her how much he loved her.

But now it was different. He hugged her before carrying her with ease. Amane blushed when he carried her like a princess.

"Shall we give our children their long awaited surprise?" Kagaya smirked handsomely.

"D—Dana-sama…" Amane smiled shyly but didn't refuse. They both then sealed the room and shared a knowing look before setting the plan in motion.
