Chapter 153 Finally the time

Lord Phenex, Lord Sitri, and Zeoticus had a meeting in a secret chamber in the Sitri family castle. They came to the meeting in order to discuss the business they had worked on with the vampires.

The business in which they worked together was slave trafficking, a lucrative but highly illegal enterprise.

Nobles from various families had been secretly involved in this operation; they gave them a huge amount of money and valuable resources in exchange for abducting other races to be used as slaves.

The three lords were well aware of the risks involved, but the immense profits outweighed their concerns. As they sat in the dimly lit chamber, their faces were masked by shadows.

"I have really bad news to tell the two of you. The vampires were wiped out by the vampire ancestor Alucard."

Lord Sitri said it with a heavy tone. The news sent a chill down their spines, as they knew that Alucard was not to be trifled with. Lord Phenex and Zeoticus exchanged worried glances, realizing that their entire operation could now be at risk of exposure.

"Alucard? He actually came to Japan."

"Yes, and I got more information that he started to wipe out other supernatural beings that worked with the vampire. The Church of England had made a move too."

"You mean to tell me that we can't work with those vampires anymore? And what about the slaves?"

Lord Phenex asked with a concerned furrow in his brow.

"No more slaves. Sirzechs had told me to stop it before we got caught in a bigger problem. He said that those Yokai that we set our eyes on were protected by a very strong Shinigami."

Zeoticus said. He actually knew about the vampire being wiped out before he came to the meeting.

"Not only Alucard but those war race bastards too!"

Lord Sitri and Lord Phenex only heard about Shinigami being involved in this matter too. They were more problematic than Alucard. Lord Sitri frowned, his mind whirling with the implications.

"If the Shinigami are involved, then we must stop it completely. They possess immense power and influence. If they investigate further and know that we also abduct humans, they would declare war against us."

Lord Sitri's expression turned grave.

"We need to come up with a plan to eliminate any evidence of our involvement with humans."

And as they were discussing this pressing matter, a sudden call interrupted their conversation. It was Zeoticus's communication device ringing loudly.

"It's Sirzechs."

Zeoticus accepted the call. He talked with his son for a bit, then sighed in relief.

"We don't have to worry about anything. Serafall had taken care of the situation."

Serafall didn't like it but she couldn't do anything. She had to help these three first because, otherwise, war might break out between the devil and Shinigami. And because of the great war, their military forces were seriously damaged.

If the most cruel and powerful war race like Shinigami were to engage in battle with the devils, it would lead to catastrophic consequences.

Serafall understood the seriousness of the situation and knew that prioritizing peace was very important, even if it meant setting aside her personal feelings.

"Now that the matter of slave trafficking has been solved, Let's talk about the engagement between our family. What did Sirzechs give your son?"

Zeoticus asked Lord Phenex directly. There's nothing to hide, as he also wanted his daughter to marry Riser Phenex so that the family could become stronger.

"I also didn't know; Riser didn't tell me anything about it. I just know that it was something that could help him beat the bastard who dares to set his eyes on your daughter."

Lord Phenex replied with a hint of cruelty in his voice. Zeoticus nodded, understanding the underlying motivation behind Lord Phenex's words. He knew that the engagement was not just about wealth but also about power and their family's reputation.

"And what about you, Lord Sitri? I knew that Serafall really loved her sister. She must have done something already, right?"

Lord Phenex asked Lord Sitri.

"Yes, She had asked someone to fight for her hand in marriage. But you know that Diodora Astaroth is a nephew of Ajuka Beelzebub. He must have already helped him secure the engagement,"

Lord Sitri responded, Why were there so many stupid devils wanting to snatch the heir of the noble house? Were they thinking that because the two heirs didn't like being forced to marry, they would pick them?

"Let's finish our meeting here. We can't let people see that we are discussing such sensitive matters.

Lord Phenex suggested.

"Agreed,"

Lord Sitri nodded, scanning around to ensure their privacy. They then said goodbye to each other and went back to their respective territories, knowing that the situation had been settled.

Serafall listened to what they had discussed and felt very disgusted by their intentions. She couldn't believe that her father would stoop so low just to gain power and control.

She sighed. They still didn't know that the contender for both heirs was actually the same person.

If they knew, what would their expression be?
