Chapter 108 Her power had awaken

Ichigo went back home. He would call Soifon when Kokabiel arrived in Kuoh town. Now, with his wood clone, he could switch to any town that needed his attention at any time.

His ability to switch places with his clone would be crucial to preserving his role as a protector of multiple towns. 

As he settled into his home, Ichigo was greeted by Origime. Even though the matter about someone targeting her had been solved, she still lived with him until her brother came back from another country. It took time for him to come back, so he would take care of her until then.

"Is that you, Ichigo?"

Orihime asked him while checking every part of his body, and then she fell silent. 

Ichigo looked at her curiously as to why she asked him that.

"It's me. Why do you ask me like that?"

Ichigo didn't know why she asked him like that. Orihime hesitated for a moment before explaining. 

"I've been feeling uneasy lately; I felt like I saw something that I shouldn't have seen. Do you understand what I mean?"

Ichigo's expression changed slightly when he heard that. And Orihime thought that he didn't believe her. She quickly added. 

"I know it sounds strange, but I can't shake this feeling. It's been bothering me for days." 

Seeing her panic, Ichigo gently put his hand on her shoulder and said,

"I believe you, but I have to think about something. At school, do you feel that I am different from normal?"

Orihime hesitated for a moment before responding. 

"Well, there have been times when you seemed distant or indifferent. But I thought it was just stress from school or something. But lately I felt that you were not you but someone else..."

Orihime's voice trembled as she spoke, her eyes searching Ichigo's face for any sign of recognition. 

"I don't know how to explain it. Sorry."

"Don't be. I understand now. It looks like I can't keep it from you anymore."

Orihime heard him, and she became wary of what he was about to tell her. Her heart pounded in her chest.

'D-Don't tell me that Ichigo is actually an alien, but even if he isn't a human, I still love him!'

She confessed that she loved him in her heart. But she couldn't help but wonder what secret Ichigo was about to reveal, hoping it wouldn't change their relationship right now.

'No, I won't let that happen.' 

She made up her mind to stand by Ichigo no matter what. If he had to kidnap someone with his UFO, then she would be the one who let him kidnap her.

"I know what you think, Orihime, and I am not alien or something. In fact, I am not too sure what I am myself, but I was sure that I am mostly human, at least 20%."

"Huh?"

Wasn't that worse than being an alien? How could he be only 20% human, and what about the rest? Orihime was about to go on her imaginary journey of speculation. But Ichigo stopped her first.

"I am not a cyborg either."

"You can read my mind!"

Ichigo smiled. Wasn't everyone else able to do the same as him when it came to her? He shook his head and told her directly who he was and why she felt different when she went to school with him.

"Now, how do you feel about me?"

"Who are you?!"

Ichigo laughed a little bit. Orihime was just too cute. He then switched back and told her.

"He is my clone. That's why you feel that he was different from me. Your power has been awaken congrat."

"My power?"

Orihime didn't know what to feel right now. She felt awesome, but also a little overwhelmed.

"Let me check on you a little bit."

"Do I have to get nake?"

"No..."

Ichigo was a bit late to answer (damn hormones again), which made Orihime smile and bloom like a flower in the sun. 

"So you're still a boy after all, Hehe."

Ichigo shook his head; sometimes he couldn't understand what was in her head.

Ichigo called Hanakami to help him check on her, and he was shocked to find that she had angel power on her.

'How could it be possible? Angel can't have sexual desire, but how come she was born?'

Orihime had the power of light that was the same as that of an angel and not that of the fallen ones. Ichigo wondered if there was a connection between Orihime's angelic powers and her unique circumstances of birth. 

'Then what about her brother? Did he also have the power of an angel too?

He had to wait for him to return first so that he could check on him. Orihime was now playing with Hanakami without knowing that something big would happen if her existence was known to the church. They would do everything in their power to have her or destroy her.
