Chapter Two

I woke up to sunshine pouring through my open curtains. I groan and flip over so my face is buried in my pillow. After a while of trying to fall asleep, I give up and roll over, managing to be the clumsy putz I am, off the bed. I land with a loud thud.

"Ow." I groan out before standing up. I drag my feet over to my closet and grab a decent outfit for today. It was a long sleeved, dark green turtleneck sweater dress, a pair of black leggings and a pair of black flats. It was nothing special but I figured it would be enough to meet Dracos parents. I grab my wand and trunk and head down to the common room where Draco was waiting for me.

"Morning!" He says cheerfully.

"Piss off." I grumble. Draco was always more of a morning person, complete opposite of me.

"Aw, did someone wake up on the wrong side of the bed?" The blonde asks.

"Ha." I say sarcastically. Draco chuckles.

"Come on. Let's go to the great hall and grab some food before we leave." He suggests.

"Yes please." I respond. Draco chuckles once again before motioning for me to follow him. I leave my trunk by his and follow him out of the dungeons. I never understood why the other houses got the nice and cozy towers while us Slytherins were trapped in the cold, and dark dungeons. Then again, Slytherins did have a bad reputation, but that's still no excuse. In my opinion at least.

We continue to talk and joke our whole way to the great hall. We were almost there when we ran into the 'Golden Trio' as everyone calls them.

"Malfoy." Harry sneers, while Hermione and Ron send him glares.

"Potter." Draco sneers back. I roll my eyes.

"Draco, come on." I pull on his arm gently to try to get us to leave.

"Fine." He states without breaking his glare on Harry. We walk away and continue on with our conversation. We finally make it to the great hall and immediately make our way over to Pansy and Blaise. Crabbe and Goyal left yesterday.

"Hey guys." Me and Draco say in usion.

"Hello. How'd you sleep?" Pansy asks.

"I slept great! I'm not sure about this though." Draco says, referring to me.

"I fell off the bed again." I mumble quietly. Blaise laughs and Pansy giggles while Draco snorts.

"Again? Merlin, Y/N, you do that at least five times a week!" Blaise exclaims.

"Yeah, yeah. Shut up." I send everyone playful glares before taking a bite of a piece of bacon. Their laughter dies down as they also start digging into their food. We all got into conversations while we ate. I didn't have much of an appetite, but I forced myself to eat. I didn't eat much but it was enought to get me through the first little bit of the day. Soon, the bell rang and all the food and plates dissapeared into the kitchen for the house elves to clean up.

"Come on, Y/N. Don't wanna miss the train now do we?" Draco asks me with a raised eyebrow.

"At least then I don't have to worry about your parents hating me." I say with a smirk. Draco rolls his eyes and grabs my wrist, dragging me to the common room. Once we arrive, we grab our trunks and quickly rush out to the train. We walk around for a while until we find an empty compartment.

"Finally. I thought we would have to sit with some mudbloods or something if we didn't find one." Draco huffs. I hum and nod in agreement. Though, I didn't agree with him. I saw nothing wrong with blood type. That's why I never bullied anyone.

"Here let me get that for you." Draco says while grabbing my trunk, after seeing my struggles. He places it on the shelf.

"Thanks, ferret." He sends me a glare at the nickname I gave him. I gave it to him after Moody- well, Barty, turned him into a ferret.

"This is your final warning, Y/N/N." He tells me. I raise an eyebrow at him and he raises one back. I chuckle and roll my eyes.

"Yes sir." I salute him in a joking way, making laugh. We sit down in the seats and get into a deep conversation for a while.

"Draco, you are not serious!" I yell at the young wizard.

"Oh, but I am." He replies with a smirk. I huff and roll my eyes at the obviously lying boy.

"Draco, your patronus is not a dragon. It doesn't suit you! A patronus is supposed to match your personality! Dragons are fierce, and brave. You, on the other hand, are neither." Draco gasps dramatically and puts a hand on his heart, faking a hurt expression.

"How dare you say such cruel words to me?!" I only laugh in response, earning a smile from him.

"Because it's true." I say.

"Well, what's your patronus Miss know-it-all?"

"A black swan." I say, matter-of-factly. He narrows his eyes and furrows his eyes together.

"I can see it." I chuckle and he smirks.

"Oh, and by the way, you know how my father works for the ministry?" I nod my head. "Just know, he uses legelimensy."

"That's fine. I know how to block him out."

"Good." Draco states before leaning back in his seat. I do the same and turn my head to look out the window. We sit in silence for the rest of the train ride. The trolly came by but I still couldn't eat anything. My nerves of meeting his parents were probably a lot worse then they should be. After a while, we finally arrive at kings cross. Me and Draco grab our trunks and exit the compartment. Draco goes in front of me and pushes everyone out of our way, me following behind to apologize to everyone. We finally get off the train and Dracos hair was all messed up. I couldn't help but burst out laughing at how frizzy his hair was. He looked at me with confusion so I pointed at his hair. His eyes widen but he quickly fixes it.

My laughter dies down after he fixes his hair and we continue on trying to find his parents. What we didn't know, they spotted us as soon as we got off the train. We look around in the crowd for them and Draco eventually spots them.

"Over here." Draco days to me, motioning me to follow him. I gulp and follow him close behind, definitely not to hid myself from them.

We continue to push past people until we arrive in front of them. I was able to take a good look at them. Dracos father had long, platinum blonde hair, and piercing grey-blue eyes. His face had no emotion, but his eyes were filled with frustration and.... saddnes? I was very good at reading people's eyes but his were tough. He was wearing a white button up shirt with a dragon-hide coat. He had black trousers on with matching black shoes. He was holding a long, black walking stick with a snake head as the handle. He had on black leather gloves as well. He was quite attractive but not my type.

When I looked over to Dracos mother, I was blown away. My breath gets caught in my throat. She was drop, dead, GORGEOUS. She had shoulder-length black hair with two stripes of platinum blonde hair tied, with some more black hair, in a small bun at the back of her head and some bangs that covered her forehead. She had dark, yet, calming and welcoming brown eyes. And let me say, her cheekbones were on FLEEK. Her lips were plump and dark red from her lipstick. Her skin looked smooth and soft. Of course, it did have some wrinkles from age, but, they only added to her beauty. She had a gold-chain necklace with the Malfoy family symbol on it, with some matching earrings. Her outfit was a dark green, silk, and flowy dress with a black belt with a golden belt buckle. It ended right under her knees, letting the rest of her legs be shown to the world. She had some matching black heels. She had a simple silver bracelet that fit her wrist perfectly. She had her wedding ring and another ring with a spider-shape on it. Her nails were painted dark green to go with her outfit. Everything she was wearing fit her body perfectly. There was no other word to describe her, other then, perfect. I realized that I was staring a bit to long so I quickly looked away.

"Hello mother, father." Draco greets, with no emotion.

"Draco." His father says, in a very cold tone. His mother simply smiles at him. The smile wasn't genuine though. I could see it in her eyes. She was sad that her only child didn't show any emotion to her. I immediately felt guilty, though, I had no idea why. Draco clears his throat after a bit and steps aside, revealing me.

"This is Y/N." He says. I smile warmly at the two and hold my hand out.

"Hello, Mr and Mrs. Malfoy. Pleasure to meet you." I say to them. Dracos mother was the first to speak up.

"Hello dear. Draco has told us so much about you. It's nice to finally meet you!" She says cheerfully as she pushes my hand aside and pulls me into a warm and comforting hug. I was taken aback for a second before hugging back. I had never really been hugged by anyone so I didn't really know what to do. I took a deep breath and managed to capture her sent. Vanilla, berries, and roses. After a couple of seconds, she pulls away and smiles at me.

"And please, call me Narcissa. Mrs. Malfoy makes me feel old." I couldn't help but chuckle at her words, making her smile grow.

'Narcissa, what a perfect name.'

Just then, we hear someone clear their throat. Narcissa steps back and Dracos father steps forward.

"Mr. Malfoy, hello." I say, in a warm tone, despite my nerves. He was a very intimidating man. I hold out my hand and he takes it. He shakes my hand for a moment. I could feel his eyes burning into my mind, trying to read it. Luckily, I was very good at keeping people out of my mind so he couldn't get in.

"Miss Weasley, I presume. I can recognize those freckles and red hair anywhere. Nice to finally, meet you." He pauses before letting go of my hand. I chuckle nervously before he turns to Draco.

"Let's get home now." He says before turning on his heel, with us all following behind him.

'I mean, it could've gone worse.' I think to myself. I sigh quietly and continue following him.
