" What do you mean by that ?"Julian asked as his curiosity reached its peak.

"….. You don't seem to realize but you have the blessing of the dark phoenix. I have seen how you fight, your flames and mana pressure all had her lingering power. Perhaps she had blessed you after your birth. You are the first human to have the mana pressure of a phoenix …. "

From what I remember she only forged a contract with one human but that was about 1000 years ago after that I had met my end so I have no idea what happened to her…you have her aura …either your parent had a contract with her or she gave you her blessing on her own….I don't know..."

Silence engulfed both of them again as Julian thought about everything Kirin said while the song of Olivia reverberated all around.

"…..I don't have much time left, now that I have that melody again I can feel my curse getting erased, I have no reason to live …perhaps it's time for me to reunite with him again….."

Kirin could feel the determination and kindness within Julian. At that moment he could not help but remember his red eyes friend. But there was still some hesitation as he didn't want to be the reason for the death of a person similar to his death.

"…..Fine human…I Kirin shall forge a contract with you…In exchange for staying in your mind space and seeing the world from your eyes, I shall provide you with my power .... " said Kirin by touching Julian's head with his head.

"I Julian accept the contract "

A magic circle emerged around both of them from which words emerged and covered the bodies of both of them. Slowly the words retracted and became a symbol in one palm of Julian while the same symbol formed on the head of Kirin. Instantly the symbol on Julian disappeared while the one on Kirin remained.

"This contract is different from the standard spirit contract. We don't have the same magic nature so I cannot connect to your grimoire, "said Kirin.

The space they were in started breaking like glass and both of them found themselves in Julian's Mindspace.

Almost the entire mental energy and mana of Julian were sucked into the body of Kirin like a black hole. Julian dropped to the floor panting.

A dark aura emerged from Kirin which slowly started corrupting the mind space making Julian go through unbearable pain.

"Don't force yourself too much Julian….. I thank you for giving me a chance but it seems that my curse cannot be dispelled..let me leave and save yourself "

"I haven't given up yet " the muffed voice of Julian reached Kirin.

'Burn everything!….devour everything!….. I shall be the flame that devours everything !'Julian screamed inside in head as the entire mind space struggled to devour the curses.

'Not enough…I need more power! '

The red moon in the sky shone more brightly along with his Sharingan that had started glowing.

'More!'

The light from the moon started devouring the cruse and strengthening itself.

'More!'

Red flames surrounded Kirin as the curse within him started getting devoured.

'This power...It's really burning away by curse….I can feel better every passing second' A relieved smile appeared on Kirin.

This continued for 3 hours before his mind-space recovered and the entire curse was devoured into his flames.

"Phew, it's done. Let me rest for some time" said Julian as he closed his eyes.

After a few hours, Julian recovered somewhat recovered his mental strength and found that there was a permanent mental strain due to Kirin staying there who was constantly absorbing his mental power and mana.

But Julian was happy as he got a way to make himself stronger.

"Don't worry about that, take your time and enjoy for now" said Julian as the Sharingan in his eyes rotated. Half of his mind-space turned into a forest that was the copy of where Julian met Kirin.

A strange scene was unfolded as on one side was a red moon along with a wasteland while on the other side was a green forest with a clear blue sky.

" I modified my mind space for you Kirin"

"….I cannot thank you enough Julian…..before completely disintegrating from the real world, I have one last responsibility to fulfill"

Julian was brought out of the mind space and found himself lying on a cotton bed and saw Charmy sleeping beside her.

"You're up La? Have some cake" said Charmy as she stuffed a piece of cake into the mouth of Julian.

"How long was I down?" asked Julian

"You have been out for nearly half an hour " Luck said who was sitting near Julian eating food made by Charmy.

The physical body of Kirin had opened his eyes and a gentle aura began to emit from him. Lucis and Olivia who were sleeping nearby woke up from the movement and approached Julian.

" Thank you for fulfilling one of my dearest wishes her descendant. " Kirin said to Olivia. She somewhat understood what Kirin was talking about and didn't interrupt him.

Kirin's body slowly started disintegrating into light particles.

Everyone felt Kirin's emotions ..satisfaction . happiness .. relief.

He stepped forwards and came near Olivia and touched her hand. A star mark appeared on the back of her hand.

" This is a gift from me for fulfilling my wish …it will protect you when the time comes "

Slowly more of his body disappeared into the atmosphere. Every animal and bird in the vicinity bowed their heads to pay their last respect.

Somehow everyone had tears in their eyes. Lucis came and hugged Olivia. Julian gathered his thoughts on the side.

The entire land shinned and similar light particles emerged and went to the sky. Those were the dead souls of the people who couldn't pass.

After a while, Julian told everyone the original story except his relationship and the contract. They gave the four dead bodies a burial and rested for a while.

Secre who was watching everything from the distance came back to Julian and snuggled to his chest. During the fight Julian didn't focus much now he noticed that everyone's clothes were in a bad condition. Julian snapped his finger and a thin red cloak appeared around everyone acting as clothes.

In the mind space, Julian had heard that the exit of the island was the same mechanism as the entrance.

Everyone gathered near the place where they came from with the knocked-out grunts of the underworld.

Everyone started searching and soon found the same metallic altar from which they entered. Olivia repeated the same process.

Exiting the portal ,they moved a few km and called for reinforcements. The reinforcements arrived and took the grunts and the information about their bases.

After eating Charmy's food they all were energized so they directly went towards the base.

The base was an underground chamber in the Forsaken Realm. Some people were guarding who Julian knocked with mana pressure.

Along with the family of Olivia, a lot of scientific tools were recovered.

Olivia's only direct blood relative left was her mother. Apparently, the family was going to be sold as slaves after being brainwashed. There were signs that they were tortured or raped but at least they were alive.

The reinforcement had a spatial mage so they reached the capital in no time. Lucis dropped Olivia and her family at the hospital and assigned some guards. Julian and the other two Black Bulls were taken to a guest house owned by the royal house.

Lucis informed Charmy to eat as much as she could and told them to stay for the night

Julian was mentally tired and had no urge to do anything so he took a bath, wore a new one provided by the guesthouse, and directly went to sleep.
