A black Chevy appeared in front of the cabin. An attentive max took immediate notice and stood up and moved towards the mirror on the wall; which just so happened to be an advanced piece of technology with amazing portrait life features and a touchscreen TV of sorts. Max tapped a few places and the outside of the cabin was displayed on it through the secret security camera outside. The person outside looked directly at the camera and wiped their hand on their chest, leaving a single smeared drop of blood on their clothes. Through this verification, Max opened the door to reveal the only taxi driver in that area.

"Charlie!"

"Max!"

They both hugged and stepped back and Max complimented the tall male whose red shirt and white pants complemented his wonderfully dark clear skin.

"You look amazing. Oh, and, did you really have to go as far as wearing a red shirt so the stain wouldn't be visible this time?"

"Excuse you but I am quite tired of having to throw away perfectly good shirts because of a bloodstain!"

Max laughed at the chaotic side of Charlie which was rarely displayed but it was still a pleasant sight to see nonetheless. At that moment a voice interrupted their laughter and Charlie immediately bowed 90 degrees. Max could sense the heavy atmosphere and did the same towards their leader.

"Quiet down please"

The two stayed silent

"You may both sit wherever you like as long as we are able to have a conversation comfortably. There is no need to go to the meeting room for this."

The leader sighed and then turned around

"I'll get us some quick snacks and drinks. Any specific preferences?"

"No sir," they said in unison

"Alright"

When the leader was out of sight the remaining two did as instructed. Max sat on the bean bag while Charlie sat on the couch. A few minutes later Charlie received a coffee along with a small box of cookies and Max received hot chocolate with marshmallows and with some pretzels in a bowl. They waited patiently for further instructions and looked up when they heard their leader sit down. A sigh escaped his lips and orders were distributed.

"Max, pull up the CCTV footage in the taxi"

As Maxi did so Kai's tired eyes looked at Charlie

"Charlie, how are things at base and how is everything in the area?"

Charlie sat up straight and places his hands on his knees.

"Everything has been running smoothly so far and our latest invention has been successful. Although, there has been some suspicious movement from Mr. Ventura. We suspect he is developing some new kind of drug; however, that is not all."

Charlie exhaled and his gaze dropped recalling the moment the other roses found out."The drug is, of course, addictive."

A tired gaze now on both Kai and Charlie. Charlie slumped his shoulders, putting his elbows on his knees and his chin in his hands sighed, and continued.

"But not only that, within it, there is a device, or so we suspect as we have yet to get our hands on it, the device is used for control. Sir Mr. Ventura is controlling people's minds and in the worst-case scenario, he will begin a worldwide murder, wiping out all humankind and perhaps, even you sir."
