Chapter Sixteen: The Visit

"A visit?" Manson asked. Manson was shocked that he had to drop his coffee so that he could listen properly to what Mike said.

"Yes, a visit," Mike said with a smile on his face. Mike finished his coffee and dropped the cup on the table.

"Mike, how will you visit him? He is the commissioner of police! I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I think this plan will fail," Manson said. Manson gave his sincere opinion about the plan, suggesting a Mike bailout.

Mike laughed out loud and tapped Manson on the thigh. "You are always funny," Mike said, and he kept laughing.

Mike's laughter made Manson a little bit mad, "hey. Hey.. What is funny? I am advising you and you are laughing, why?" Manson asked curiously.

"Sorry about that, but this plan will never fail, trust me," Mike replied, with a smile on his face.

"I hope it won't because that face of yours won't look good on a police suspect poster," Manson said.

Mike laughed and said "No, trust me, it won't fall,"

"I hope so," Manson said. Manson checked his wall clock and saw that he was late, so he stood up immediately.

"Yeah, me too," Mike said. Mike sat down there staring at the open space in the room.

"By the way, what is the plan?" Manson asked. He looked at Mike waiting for a genius overview of his plan.

Mike turned and looked at him and said "Always stay close to your television, then you will know the plan,". Mike finished with a smile.

"Can you please stop being mysterious for once," Manson said. He gave Mike a little push and went to change so that he could go to his clock store.

Mike laughed and said, "It is part of life, don't give away too much,".

"Yeah, you are right," Manson said. He was about to exit the parlor when he was stopped by Mike's words.

"Umm. Manson, I will be away for some days," Mike said, still looking at the open space in the room.

"What? Why? Where… where will you be going to?" Manson asked. Manson went back and sat down to listen to Mike properly.

"Don't worry, I won't go far if you want to find me, I will be in the playground of my past," Mike said. Mike looked at Manson and smiled again.

Manson was confused but he was tired or did not know what questions to ask. "Okay, I hope you are doing the right thing. Because I am always behind you," Manson said. Manson stood and tapped Mike on the shoulder and walked out of the parlor.

Manson left the parlor to change so that he could get to work on time but Mike sat down on the chair staring at the open space he was lost in thought, and he had a flashback, Mike remembered when he was taken out of the house by officer Reynold to a school. Mike remembered that he tried to leave the school but Officer Reynold was always watching him and always threatened to send him to prison like his father Mike would always ask, who paid for his education but no one would answer him.

"Mike! Mike! I am off," Manson said. His voice brought Mike back to the present.

"Alright, I am going out too, but it will be later," Mike said. Mike wiped the little droplet of sweat from his face with his hands.

"You are okay?" Manson asked, noticing his reaction.

"Yes I am fine," Mike replied.

Manson nodded and left the house. Through much meditation, Mike decided to execute his plans, he dressed up and left the house.

But first, Mike made a stop at his house, I mean his former house. He knocked at the door, the first time, but there was no response, he knocked again and he heard "I am coming,"

Mike gasped and stood at the door going over and over what he wanted to say. The door was opened and Mike saw Pearl, she looked at him and he looked at her, they were into each other they couldn't deny it.

"Umm. Hi, I want to take some of my things," Mike said. He looked into Pearl's eyes seeking her affection.

"Okay, you only have five minutes," Pearl said. Pearl quickly changed her mood from being surprised to being disgusted.

"Thank you, can I come in?" Mike asked as if he were a visitor. Pearl looked at him quizzically and opened the door for him to enter.

"Umm. It's like you have not signed your part of the papers right? Mike asked. He looked at Pearl but Pearl refused to look at him.

"Yes I haven't," Pearl replied, still not looking at him.

"Why?" Mike asked.

"Because… (the question hits Pearl hard and he refuses to answer then she changes the topic) you four fifty seconds before I call the police that you are trespassing," Pearl said. Pearl looked at Mike now with an angry face and both arms folded.

"Okay, I will do what I came here for and leave, don't worry," Mike said. Mike went into the room which was formerly called his bedroom or matrimonial room.

A few minutes later Mike came out with some of his clothes and said "Can I stay a little so I can see Roy, my son?"

"No, you don't, please find another apartment, thank you," Pearl said.

"Okay, I am leaving but just tell him that I love him," Mike said. Mike exited the house, he headed to pay someone a visit.

Mike didn't come back to Manson's house that day because he had a plan to execute.

The following day, came like no other day. Police Commissioner Reynold walked up as early as possible and greeted his wife. Commissioner Reynold got up, he took his bath. The commissioner dressed up and went out to work, that early morning. He didn't even take the breakfast that was prepared for him.

Police Commissioner Reynold, got to the station, and Officer Ruby approached with a file and saluted.

"Good,( she has held the file in her hand) okay..I or sent it to me, Commissioner Reymold was approached by another police officer, reminding him about the meeting he had this morning.

A man ( Mike dressed in a black tuxedo) approached police Commissioner Reynold showed him an identification card and said "I am from internal affairs and I want to talk to me about something?"

"So how can I help you?" police Commissioner Reynold asked curiously, respecting the false internal affairs officer.

"Come with me," Mike said, he dressed as a false internal affairs officer. Police Commissioner Reynold followed him to the basement, in the name of private conversation.

"So what next or what do you want to tell me? " commissioner Reynold said, as he turned back to look at the internal affairs officer, Mike made him sleep.

A few hours later, police Commissioner Reynold was not found in the meeting, the officers in the station searched everywhere they couldn't find him, they called him but his phone was switched off.

The police commissioner was declared missing. The news spread like wildfire, even his family heard of the news.

Meanwhile, Manson saw what happened on the news and said "Yes, he did it but how is he going to escape this one? Manson asked himself.
